At the expense of their passenger cars tho, dont think they will ever ba able to catch up with the Camrys and Accords and even Impalas! Maybe if Ford didnt put sooooo much into SUVS in the 1990s and spread it out evenly to passenger cars they would not be loosing 6 billion dollars! Tom

Your right dude, it is a very sad day indeed that the Taurus is now gone. So many people will be happy to slag that car off and rip it to bits , but its not the Taurus fault that it became so lame, that was Ford Motor Companys fault. The Taurus was a EXCELLENT car in its time and it shaped the cars of the future. I will miss seeing new Taurus gracing our streets. Shame Ford was so lame into thinking that they could make billions of pounds in profits from SUVS forever, how damn wrong they were.....

Well the Mondeo has always had a good reputation in Europe, but a few things it needs to address.. Its Taxi image!! Many Mondeos are used as Taxis and rep cars, the new one needs to be as good as Ford says it is.

Mazda B-Series is horrible Ford Ecovan...nastly cheap japanese product Ford Icon...horribly outdated 1980s origined Fiesta! OLD OLD OLD Ford Ranger...old, cheap, totally outdated(sorry all you Ranger fans!) Mazda 2.... JUST a box on wheels Ford Focus North America...totally outdated old, needs replacing NOW! Jaguar X-Type, poor materials, outdated, get rid!! Ford Freestar and Mercury Montery- Thank god they have been axed!

Think it would be only fair if it includes the whole Ford Motor Company! Theirs not much to choose from if its just Ford US!!!

The Brits can be a bit weedy when it comes to sport cars! Well, the fastest car I have got(garaged up at the moment) is a Mazda Xedos 6 2.0 V6! Nothing compared to your Mustang but in Britain(I spend alot of time there aswell as America!) hot hatches are very popular, especially GM Astras, Ford Focus ST, VW Golf GTI etc. But in Britain small cars are still king, Fiestas, Corsas,Clios, Polos etc! Their is a nice little market for BIG American cars, only people who want something truely "different" buys Mustangs, Jeeps, Town Cars, from specialist dealerships, the Lincoln Town Car is very popular in the UK as it is used by alot of Limo companies that has taken off recently. I love the sound of your Mustang, thats my dream car, hopefully once I leave uni in a well paid Job I will buy one(thats unless I get my parents to get me one first, which I know they would not!) The roads in the UK are so small, the Mustang would take the whole road up and scare all those Fiestas and Corsas to death, American Roads are massive and can accomodate big beasts, I love driving my old but fantastic 1995 Ford Crown Victoria V8 down the high way cruising and driving in comfort! But its kind of not well at the moment, so i mite have to confind it to the graveyard! But I certainly get anotherone tho!

The Town Car certainly has generated alot of attention over its "apparent demise", looks like Ford will try the same with the Ranger and see how much interest it gains. I dont see how Ford can possibly afford to axe the Ranger. They have spent hardly any money on it over the last 20 yearts, tooling paid for, they must make loads of money on it. The Town Car makes Ford a cool £1 Billion, I am sure the Ranger makes a huge ammount aswell. Ford Motor Co has been caught out now for not revamping their products for years and thinking people will put up with halfed arsed, lazy and tired designs, which is the MAIN reason they are in so much shit now..

I spend alot of time in England and my Dad drives a Focus C-Max, he loves it, very spacious, very reliable and very economical. He has a 1.8 Turbo Diesel, gets 40+ miles per gallon! I love driving it! Hers are some pics...got some pics of the Fiesta ST and Focus ST aswell, very popular cars in England, The Focus sells on excess of 130,000 units a year in the UK alone, making it the best selling car by far!! __LLL.bmp

Esactly what I have always thought, dont know why Ford doesnt add Mazdas sales to theirs, Ford does own a controlling interest In Mazda plus it would give Ford more credibility and boost morall if they were known as the world number 2.....

It certainly will do some damage to the Lexus RX, I personally think its really quality, clean looking car from Lincoln. With the Lexus RX selling around 100,000 a year, the Lincoln will surely take alot of those sales. Hopefully Lincoln will get their sales pitch back up to the 150,000 soon enough. Its been along time coming tho! With a new Navigator/MKZ AND MKS all arriving I really hope Lincoln gets back to the top, I dont see any reason why they cant be back up with lexus and Cadillac.....
