  1. Ahh, yes. The perverbial sheet of cardboard... Brings back memories of my younger years as a courier driver, driving down the highway in an Econoline, mid January with -35 nights, God only knows how much colder with wind chill factor. It was the only way to get any heat. That and to hang a blanket behind the seat.
  2. Maybe the guys at Toyota thought it was a welcoming thing for the Tundra. :shades:
  3. This reminds me of when Ford would put a windshield washer containers in cars that would hold... a cup?
  4. There was a time when they would say " What wins on Sunday, seels on Monday".
  5. Maybe it was one of upper management who needed a vehicle to drive to Disneyworld? Who knows. :shades:
  6. I'm still wondering if you could see frame flex just like when a tractor trailer starts pulling a very heavy load. :reading:
  7. This can't be true. A recall on a Honda? Guess they ain't so perfect after all, huh?
  8. I don't care what anybody says, that's funny right thar!
  9. Funny, I guess we are making the SE for export because you can't get it in Canada anymore. If you go on the Ford.ca site, you will see that we only have the SEL and Limited. Last year the SE models were staying on the lots but they couldn't get enough SEL's.
  10. 85% of all Mercedes Benz' are silver. I asked someone who works there in Germany why so many silver? He then responded, " It's the easiest colour to keep clean ". It's all about practicality.
  11. I look at those old T-Birds and all I can say is, them were the days!
  12. Here in the great white north! Lol! And actually, there are quite a few of those Smart cars here. A lot of business' purchase them for small delivery vehicles, i.e. pharmacies. You can find them in the upper class neighborhoods. Remember, they get sold next to the Mercedes Benz dealers. Personally, I wouldn't call them a piece of junk, they actually do very well in crash tests considering size and that they are rear engine. Believe it or not, they are good in the snow, kinda like the old Beetle. What I am saying is if the Smart can sell here, why not the Ka?
  13. All I can say is, Smart cars have been buzzing around here for a few years and with $4.00 gal. gas here, I don't think there would be a problem. The percentage of smaller cars up here is higher. Test it here.
  14. The Ka is already sold in Mexico. Why not here, we do not know...
  15. Saw one in the plant parking lot last night. Definitely, that is what I'm replacing the Windstar with. And yes, the Vista roof will be on my option list.
  16. Maybe we should have called this the "Toyota two Stroke".
  17. Well, there are a few things to think about. I'm looking at the glass half full. First, there might be some guys taking a package before the end of our contract, it's only $25 000 but, it's better than nothing. Second, when the new Lincoln comes, they will need people. Third, if the engine plant is to be reopened, people would be going back for sure. :reading:
  18. BTW, what the hell is on that trailor? His house?
  19. I heard that they will be coming on the 28th of Jan. Also, there might be still a few laid off left to call back first.
  20. I have had the same problem before. It is a resistor that is blown. You will most probably find it screwed into the heating assembly with wires leading from it to the blower motor and switch. It's as simple as going to your local autopart store or dealer and asking for a heater blower resistor. When you locate it, simply unsnap the electrical leads, unscrew it from the heater assembly, replace with new part and reconnect.
  21. I haven't heard anything either. Before they do something with the T-Bird, it's the Cougar's turn first.
  22. Thank God! We'll finally be rid of that problematic brand. Maybe when Tata takes over, they can start an Indian Jaguar. Take that new car and give it a wooden dash, spoked wheel covers and a hood ornament. If any of you Photoshop Gurus are up to it, have fun!
