  1. In my case I just have no need for the Supercab. With the trailers, I like to keep the wheelbase as short as possible. I am currently looking at a Ford LCF just for that reason.
  2. Just my 2 cents, I would really hate to go without the back up camera. It is so nice for backing in to the trailers and out of parking spaces.
  3. In the past I have been on your tail section for all of the imports that you show. I understand that you rotate your pictures on a regular basis, it is just that I prefer to see Fords over imports. Today I would just like to say thank you for showing the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO. I also noticed that your family now has a 2009 Ford Flex. Thank you for purchasing a Ford. To those who prefer the imports, I only ask that you consider a Ford. Ford, the only one of the Big 3 without their hand out (yet).
  4. Ford needs to understand that these trucks are used for work in many cases. We need black or dark interiors.
  5. Thanks. Did they have to tear the dash apart?
  6. I have a 2008 Ford F-150 regular cab. It seems like I either have full heat or no heat. Is anyone else having this issue? The fan motor is working properly.
  7. What man cannot explain, he makes up a story for. Religons are stories.
  8. From the time a child is born until he is 18, do not expose the child to religon or the bible. On his 18th birthday, give the now adult a bible. Ask him to read the bible. Now ask if he is a believer. You will have more luck getting him to believe in Santa Claus. I believe that more is accomplished when you have faith in yourself.
  9. Hey, I'm not a troll. Just curious what others are thinking.
  10. What does everyone think? Will Ford file bankruptcy? Will they hold their hands out to the government for a bail out like everyone else? Will small shareholders (like myself ), get the shaft. Just wondering what everyone was thinking.
  11. None. She is bone stock. I even installed a new air filter prior to the trip.
  12. I had the PCM recalibrated for the transmission slipping. Is there something else for engine management?
  13. I have a 2008 Ford F-150 FX4, SWB with the 5.4L and 3.73 gears. 7500 miles on it. I love the truck and have been faithful to Ford. I just came back from a 1000 mile trip. I was careful not to run at over 2000 rpm's, used the cruise (95% freeway miles) and did my pre-trip inspection. The truck would not get over 14.9 miles to the gallon. What are the rest of you guys getting for mileage. We can skip the guys saying that they are getting 30 mpg in town. I just feel that this truck is brutal on fuel. At this point we are considering running it for a year and looking at other options. I was hoping that Ford would push the 4.4 diesel out quicker. Thanks for the input in advance.
  14. I just wanted to say thanks to the Forum members about htis thread. I was experiencing what felt like transmission slippage. I read this, had the TSB performed and so far the problem has not reoccured. Thanks to everyone.
  15. You guys are sure making me feel good about my latest purchase. My wife has always wanted an Edge since they first came out. Well, we spotted a 2007 Edge AWD SE Plus on Friday night. 9300 miles. The sales managers car, a guy I have gotten to know pretty well. They shot me a good price. I now have a very beautiful and happy wife. We pick it up tonight. Glad to hear that everybody is happy with their Edge. :happy feet:
  16. I would like to see where you found your facts. I really find it hard to believe that class 8 truck builders are turning profits with the new emmisions standards. I will say that it was a sad day when Ford left the heavy duty vocational market.
  17. Will a 20% improvement in fuel economy be enough to overide the extra drivetrain costs, maintanence costs and fuel prices? I really don't think so.
  18. I will speak for my application to clarify. The truck is used on a daily basis for parts running, pulling a trailer for pickup and delivery of machines and as a personal vehicle. My loads with the trailer are in the 2000 lbs. range. Parts loads are not worth even mentioning the weight, but they often require a pick up. I believe that the majority of people driving the F-150 are not using it to pull heavy loads. Contractors, couriers and most commercial users need a pick up for the box, not the towing capacities. The people using the F-150 for a grocery getter certainly don't need the big horsepower numbers. "WE" need an F-150 that will get better MPG's. I think that the stock holders of FOMOCO need an F-150 that gets better MPG's. For your towing needs, you should probably have a Super Duty. The logic that it doesn't fit in your garage has little to do with the weight you or anyone else is pulling.
  19. WE DON'T NEED HUGE HORSEPOWER IN A F-150 DIESEL !!!! WE NEED FUEL ECONOMY !!!! I just wish that someone at Ford could grasp this. Give me 250 hp and 20 MPG in town. If I have to use a manual for that, so be it. If you need those big horsepower and torque numbers, move up tp the Super Duty. Oh, and since I am ranting, make it available in all configurations. Yes even the regular cab, shortbox. Some of us need the short wheelbase for our applications.
  20. Why not take the Ranger that your parents are gracious enough to give you and drive it. Save the $6,000 for an education, a down payment on a house in a couple of years or start a business. Don't piss all of your money away on your first car. Take my word for it, you sure as heck don't NEED a Lincoln for your first car. Just for the record, I am 43, not 80.
  21. With a power fold hard top, that car could be a hot seller. Your ideas really look great. Keep them coming.
