  1. Shall I join the "let's reply and type nothing" club?
  2. ....and I think Fiesta is the best looking b-car by far.
  3. What is wrong with the Limited nameplate? It's been used on many Ford products for years now, and no complaints until now?
  4. Well, except for the fact that there are (or at least were) $48K Expeditions being sold for years (ours was, I don't find it "over priced" for a Ford. Looks like it's time to drag race the Flex and other mini-vans....do you really think people who are buying this vehicle care about 0-60 times? Also, the 3.7 is a Lincoln-exclusive engine. Well, I'm sure people said the same thing about giant SUVs.
  5. I think the dual cowl design can still be used, but in a more sedate way, like MKX. It still features a two pod design, but is (much) more restrained in it's approach. MKZ: MKX:
  6. That too could be true. With the keyless entry too, the keypad doesn't serve much purpose other than to lock the key in when going to say, the beach, or something if needed, sorta adding to your comment.
  7. I understand it's not a "racing" type car. Really, I was thinking more along the lines of the engine itself....in whatever applications it has (Flex, MKS, etc.), I'd think it'd be a logical idea that it'd have a manumatic mode, since it is a more "sporty" engine.
  8. It makes me think Equinox. I hope it looks better after it's revealed, because right now it doesn't look like much.
  9. I liked how they mentioned the Flex's target buyer likely wouldn't be interested in a manumatic and stopped there, rather than MotorTrend's approach. Who knows, maybe we could see something (a manumatic) with the EB 3.5?
  10. It appears the clock has been removed altogther. Yes they were, and IMO, it appears they've been raised slightly. It's hard to tell from pictures (different angles, etc.) but here's a current gen picture to compare to. It looks like the controls are a little higher (comparing shifter positions, which I assume are the same size/height even thought they're different shapes). If not, they're certainly smaller (since the display is in the nav screen) and are now flush with the other controls.
  11. Sounds like they liked it. A couple thoughts with the vehicle....why are those reverse sensors not painted? Also, I agree with them that the wood, or "wood" is too glossy to even be considered "real". I prefer the Range Rover/Land Rover "dull" (non-glossy) approach, it looks a lot better, IMO. Of course, it's probably real wood too.
  12. There were also a few errors in the pricing section. They mentioned they had a Limited model....then mentioned they got optional SYNC ($395), which is standard on Limited. Also they said they checked off the roof rack side rails, when they also got the Vista Roof, an impossible combination.
  13. Honestly I don't see the big deal about iDrive (nothing against your wife of course). Maybe earlier systems were less intuitive, but I don't have a problem with it at all. I actually find it very easy and/or logical to use.
  14. Is that the feature we saw in one of the MKS review's pictures? That's pretty cool that you can put pictures onto it. I wonder if you'd be able to have a pre-set picture appear on the screen at startup, like at the time when the Lincoln (or Ford) logo would usually pop up on the screen before the system actually turns on.
  15. The G6 is getting a refresh?
  16. Actually, thinking about it, doesn't the MKS have redundant climate controls in the nav screen? This appears to be the same 8-inch screen used in the MKS and F-150, so if the system does have climate controls in it, then one won't need to use the lower HVAC controls.
  17. I don't know if that was necessarily his point. I think he was saying more along the lines that he's disappointed that the overall design wasn't changed all that much, or at least as much as he expected. Now, I too hope that the MKZ's interior is redone to be more in line with the MKS and MKX interior designs. However, the MKZ's two pod design is related to Navigator's interior, which is not necessarily a desireable trait in a midsize sedan. That said, though, I think Lincoln interior (and exterior) design is definitely moving in the right direction.
  18. Well then, the commercial must also be wrong then, or maybe they just forgot the 5th button punch.
  19. That's one of my favorite renderings if not the favorite.
  20. I thought it was a good review. He definitely seemed to like it. Oh, one other thought. In the article, he mentions using a 4-digit code for the keypad. This also goes along with the commercial using just 4 digits. I guess Ford decided to change it from 5- to 4-digit codes?
  21. I think it looks good. What are your thoughts, pscario, other than the use of the "ugly" steering wheel.
  22. Well, Ranger will be replaced with it's own model, while the F-100 will join the F-series lineup. Really, the only companies making compact trucks are Ford and GM. The Tacoma and Frontier are bigger than Ranger, closer to midsize than compact. Ranger being behind the technological curve is an understatement.
  23. Hey, I'm just "reporting" what they and another review said.
  24. The only "Mini" in the vehicle is the (optional) white (or silver) roof.
