  1. I believe as MERKUR said, it'll get it when or slightly after the Expy gets it.....and as to your comment about not sure if buyers would want it.....I think they might....it could be their "justification" to getting a large fuel in-efficient SUV. That way, owners could say..."Well, I got the more fuel efficient diesel version." Although I'm not sure the fuel efficient gains of a diesel, unless substantial would do much in my area, where diesel is generally about 5-10 cents more than premium....today after a price hike of 10 cents, my local station had regular for $3.29, premium for $3.67 (midgrade in between, I don't know exact numbers), and diesel for $3.75-ish. That said, my local station is one of the few in this area, so their prices are slightly (only a few cents at most, though) higher than other stations.
  2. I still can't get over the fact that they're still using that same ancient steering wheel, gear selector/shifter, and climate control switches. A new steering wheel would make it look a lot better (and newer).
  3. These were done about 4-5 years ago and aren't very good and some are ok at best, so bear with me. Here's descriptions/comments about them: 1--Ford Doubler: gets it's name from the "double" theme.....double spokes, double head/taillights, etc. Not very good, but it's ok... 2--Ford Fury It Can't Be Put Out: Some sort of Avalanche-ish Falcon-ute-ish size thing with flames everywhere. Again not very good, but with tweaks could be 3--Ford IT: don't ask....I don't know what I was thinking for this crossover/SUV-ish thing.....best described as an "IT", hence the name. It's ugly but with some stuff that sells [cough cough] Toyota lineup [cough], who knows maybe somebody would buy it.....I think it'd be in an Aztec category though. 4--Ford Sprint: This one isn't all that bad, with minor updates, it could be a respectable looking car. 5--Lincoln Mark XI: Basically Lincoln's Sprint, again with some minor tweaks, could be a good looking car. 6--Lastly, the Ford BigRig: a goofy attempt at an aerodynamic semi; wheels are ok, but the rest it not too good. Hope you enjoyed (and likely laughed) at my drawings of years past. I'm amazed how far I've come in only 4-5 years: I've gone from that to for example, my Lincoln Cosmopolitan (see thread).
  4. I can't wait to see, drive, etc. them at my local dealer. Do you know if Flexes will be available to sit in at auto shows yet, or will that follow the beginning of sale?
  5. You're quite welcome, and take your time. On another note, I just found some of my old drawings.....they're pathetic, I'll try to post them when I get a chance.
  6. As J-150 said, it'll be around as long as it sells and profits $$$$. It will recieve the BOSS 6.2 soon (within the next year) and possibly a upgraded/refreshed interior with Expedition (which I assume will get an 09 F-150 inspired dash in the next few years). Other than that, nothing really is known, at least by me.....but I'd expect it to closely follow Expedition's production/redesign schedule, as it's always done.
  7. This is going to be annoying having to respond to things again. Oh, well. I was referring to making a Cadillac version of the Enclave or Acadia (on the Lambda platform). An MKS-X or similar (not sure of that name) maybe, but a "Navigator" as an XC90 based vehicle, I disagree with.
  8. They're actually hatchbacks without the roof in the back. Didn't you know that?
  9. How come on the light switch, it still has the little "P" image then?
  10. Did you ever see the Reflex in person? It looked good in pictures, I was wondering if it looked good in person?
  11. According to that "Flex customizer" website, different grilles will be available.
  12. I can't wait to see it in person.
  13. Good review, I read it this morning. BTW, is that you in the 3rd row legroom pictures? I noticed you commented about the mirror cutout. I also dislike that. It seems to be spreading across the Ford lineup. The F-150 has it, the Explorer has it, the new Expedition has it, the Taurus X has it, who knows what else has it.
  14. http://www.leftlanenews.com/nissan-recalls...y-vehicles.html Nissan is recalling 11,511 2009 Muranos and 4,854 2008 CX35s for a faulty airbag sensor that may cause the airbag not to deploy in a crash. No injuries have been reported yet.
  15. I've noticed that on the GM trucks as well. Actually, I am guilty of once driving without my headlights on (but with running/parking lights on). It was in our old '99 M3 convertible.....I had stopped to pick up a friend at their house and turned the headlights off, but left the parking lights on (as to not disturb my friends parents inside) and didn't realize I had left the headlights off until we reached our destination. That said, I was driving in a well lit main road (Federal Hwy/US-1), so that's the main reason I didn't notice they were off. The car was a pre-automatic lights vehicle as well.
  16. There's the 270 number they released, but aren't Ford's estimates usually on the lower side. Wasn't the 3.5 estimated lower than the 265-hp it is?
  17. You're right. Mazda's is it's own version that it developed.
  18. Well, now Ford will have Edge and Flex being the medium and large crossovers, respectively with Explorer fitting right in the middle. I agree that the TX was a good idea. As you stated, sales have been increasing, and I've seen a lot more of the new TXs than I ever did of Freestyles. Explorer will be the Lambda like vehicle for Ford when it's redone.
  19. I've said they should give it to Mercury for some time now. And Flex will slot into it's place in the lineup.
