Bronco and Bronco Sport World Premier July 13th!!
T hawker replied to silvrsvt's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
My 1985 Ranger XLT had "Explorer" badging on the box sides. I was surprised to see it when it arrived. When I placed the order all the boxes were checked so I guess the package was added after I placed my order. -

I think it's more of a cult following then anything else. Owners would be hesitant to complain about their ownership experiences. -

Tesla a luxury car?? I thought it was the horse and buggy coming back...go a few miles, stop for the night, go a few miles, stop for the night.... I ended my Motor Trend subscription when they made it car of the year, they couldn't even go from Los Angeles to Las Vegas without stopping for hours to recharge. And don't even get me started on the environmental hazards processing the lithium and manufacturing the batteries. -

I see two of them every day, my Nautilus and mom's MKC and I'm out here in the middle of nowhere. Haha. When we head east to Las Cruces down I10 i typically see a few newer Lincoln's, ie the new corporate front ends. Mostly see truck loads of Tesla's headed east and border wall sections headed west. -
What drive mode do you guys drive in normally?
T hawker replied to Deafsoundguy's topic in Lincoln Motor Company Discussion
I've only used comfort mode in the Nautilus, really haven't driven it enough to experiment. I learned to drive in a 73 LTD Country Squire wagon, if i could put that one through the twisties i can put anything through them :) -
It would be interesting to know how the production line is "stocked or organized". Is it by model, all the Reserves built together, Black Labels, ect or is it by exterior color, all whites then all silvers, ect. Drivetrain, I know the Aviator is basically 4x2 or 4x4, but what about a F150 line. Would all the SuperCrews, Regular Cabs, V8's, 4x4's ect. be built in groups or perhaps different plants. SC at one plant RC at another.

Pimping out my Nautilus wheels!

18 inch, 16 spoke new wheels (std on Select trims) list at $1k ea, local dealer will discount to $838 ea + $50 core, $888 ea. Caps, tpms and lug nuts not included. Will look for a set of factory take off's. I have seen them listed for less on the web from Ford dealers. -

Haha, I agree. My mom gets embarrassed leaving church Saturday night, the way her MKC lights up when she approaches. One thing i was not aware of were the cornering lamps on the Nautilus. They work the same as my 06 MB C350 but those were built into the fog lamps and did not illuminate as well as the Nautilus'. -

Gurgeh may be right. Drove around town today and the ride is very smooth even with the 21's. Walking through the parking lot approaching the BL it looks soooo good. I may stay with the 21's. Decisions decisions. -
Hackett's remedy for sticker shock

Okay, time for the turd in the punch bowl. What about turbo's and 10 speed transmissions? What does that cost to develop and build. My 85 t-bird, 5.0 v8, 4 speed aod, 30 mpg on the open road, 86 ranger, 2.9 v6, 4 speed aod, 33 mpg on the open road. Sure i know about gears and rpms, direct injection, tail pipe emissions. If 10 speed is wonderful, why not skip the 10 and go straight for a 20. What about the size of vehicles today, i watched a youtube Nautilus review, they parked it next to a 1980's towncar, towncar looked like a compact next to it. But i love my Nautilus, even with 8 speeds and 2 turbo's, homelink, cd player, keypad.... -
I've gone through the settings a few times, never saw it. I don't use the feature. Took the Nautilus out for the first time this morning since getting home a week ago. I backed into the garage and the 360 camera worked great. I never thought to use the self parking, probably would have been faster...haha

Haha, know what you mean, i have that illness, every two or three years gotta change. It needs to stop one of these days, hope this is the one. Will keep the BL wheels, just in case i want to put back to original. Hope to find some factory take offs. -

I looked at the price of the 21 inch Continental tires, wow. Will go with Michelin Defender M&S, very good rating on ride and noise and past experience I've had with them. -

Yes sir, ride quality all the way. Have it set for comfort mode, will never change I was very surprised with the ride on the way home, but feel going from 40 series to 60 series will do wonders. -
I finally did it. After looking for 6 months and some serious comparison to the Aviator i chose the Nautilus BL. Fully loaded, even tow, no dvd. White platinum, Chalet Theme. So I'm planning on replacing the 21's with 18's. Has anyone done this or looked into it? I'll go to 235/60r18, tires are a higher weight rating then the 21's. The offset is 55 on the 21's and 52.5 on 18's, due to 18's being narrower i believe the offset is going the correct way. I know this is critical, very little room between calipers and back of wheel spokes. Tires for 21 dia is 29.3", 18 dia is 29.1" so this should not be a problem. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Very cool. I'm planning on going the other way replacing the 21's with 18's. Yes, i am now the proud owner of a 2019 Nautilus Black Label Chalet Theme, white platinum loaded with everything except dvd. Purchased on black Friday in San Diego. Took delivery on Thursday in Yuma AZ to avoid CA sales tax. -
Just a follow up. The autostopeliminator for my mothers MKC works great. Customer service is excellent also.
