  1. If I place a factory order does a dealer have to have allocation for the order to be processed timely? Or does it only matter when the order is placed. I do not want to place an order only to have later orders jump ahead of mine because the dealer does not have allocation. I plan on ordering a 2013 Flex tomorrow. hopefully this is a non-issue and I can just focus on price. Thanks, Mark
  2. It seems like the X-plan pin forum should be closed down then since they will no longer be given out.
  3. There is nothing you can tell. I knew what you told me before my 1st post. Just pointing out what i think is a silly limitation.
  4. Correct, as I said. Heated mirrors are not a luxury item in Minnesota and should at least be included in a package at the SE level.
  5. Disappointed that you cannot get the following combo: Cloth seats, heated sideview mirrors.
  6. If I had a GM car I would simply disconnect the power to the onstar electronics.
  7. Can't we just put the list here? I can't access the link.
  8. Just for clarity my 91 Explorer's 4.0 had somewhere around 160 hp.
  9. There is one feature I would like to see added. Put some sort of adjuster on the steering column allowing one to center the steering wheel, or put it where you want it for driving comfort. + or - 20 degrees would be sufficient. I have never received the vehicle with a perfectly centered steering wheel after getting an alignment. Dealer, chain, or independent shop does not matter. One time when it was skewed counterclockwise I returned it asking for the dealer to recenter the steering wheel. They gave it back to me skewed clockwise an equal amount. This is an annoying pet peeve of mine.
  10. Here's where you need to go. http://www.taurusclub.com/forum/index.php?showforum=56
  11. I have a 2008 Focus SE Manual with the 16" wheels and 27K miles. I haven't reset the MPG readout for over a year. Driving includes Minnesota winters, 20 mile one way commutes through variable traffic and a few trips that take about one tank full. I'd call it close to 50/50 city highway. Current reading is 33.5mpg.
  12. I would not have bought anything since I was not really in the market. Having a feature as cool as Sync turned a non-customer into a buyer. I did not think you could get something like that on an entry level car. Get my drift :burnout:
  13. This morning I saw a Prius chasing an Integra with a loud coffee can exhaust that cut it off during rush hour traffic! Maybe they were filming "The Fast and the Furious - Prius Drift"
  14. Well, you may call me a 1%'er but if it were not for SYNC I would not own a 2008 Focus. I would not have even considered a 2007 Focus without SYNC no matter how many Kona beans you put in it.
  15. Another consideration is less tread on the tires will make the ride harsher. Some brand new Michelin LTX M/S have enough rubber to absord a bunch of the jolts.
  16. Drove a rental Chevy Cobalt LT yesterday and found some to add to the list: 1.) Automatic headlights only! No way to manually turn them on. Still haven't figured out how to turn on the high beams yet. 2.) The switch you think is the headlight/domelight switch only dims the gauges. If you want to turn the domelight on you have to reach up to the switch on the light. WTF! Also: 3.) The stupid upshift arrow on manual transmission cars. I also agree with many of the already posted items that I will not repeat here.
  17. I have a 2008 SE Deluxe (will become SEL in 2009 and force you to get leather) with almost 8K miles on it. No issues at all and love the handling. I take turns that would have my 97 Taurus wheels squeeling and the Focus wanted more. For me the rear sway bar and Sync are the biggest must haves.
  18. If you think you can buy the equivalent of a factory WSB at your local dealer I have some land to sell you. You can buy a bike with the same name but it ends there. Also if Ducati was on Michelins last year do you think Stoner would have beat Rossi? Tires are a huge variable. That being said I am a fan of all bikes. I still vividly remember watching Anthony Gobert going through Canada Corner at Road America at an insane speed and lean angle. Those Ducks sure sounded great too.
  19. Rossi's got the stones this year. And I do believe that was the first championship for Ducati in the premier class.
  20. I only care about MotoGP, now how do the championships by manufacturer rate there?
