  1. Much better thank you. This clown Furious either took the separation money or was fired and somehow finds a need to post on a Ford forum to tell us we are all fools for staying at Ford while he enjoys his riches as a Sailor (sarcasm). So yeah I am happy with my union negotiated $33 per hour, voluntary overtime opportunities to easily bump my pay into six digits, job security and benefits better than 95% of American workers. So sit back and eat Furious's spoon full crap he is feeding you if you will and I will continue to earn my wages, enjoy job security and piece of mind in my golden benefits
  2. Right to work states have the highest home foreclosures, highest percentage of families living in poverty, lowest home values and lowest average income of traditional states. This Republican agenda destroys unions,,,,,,, voting for Republicans is a vote to destroy unions and our standard of living
  3. Keep hopping trains while I enjoy my $33 per hour, great benefits and job security beyond my expectations on this new agreement. Yeah I made well over $130,000 in 2011 thanks to the foresight of the UAW, so I will enjoy my current status and continue to earn a great living. If fear and complacency is earning six figures than call me scared and lazy.
  4. Heck I work 4 days and am off 4 days plus all vacation, personal time, family days and holidays. I only have to work 152 days out of 365------------------ Thanks to the AWS schedule, my vacation allotment, 5 days personal and all holidays in the new agreement I can spend 20% more days a year with my family than working. Most manufacturing facilities cant even come close to the time off I get and make $70,000 to boot. Sorry, cant discredit this 2011 agreement, no complaints here------------ Again thanks for this week off that most, if not all manufacturing continues to work normal operations.
  5. _________________________________________________________________________________________ Bravo--- Bravo,,,,,, Brother Hodges 76% of us that voted in favor of this great contract, in the worst economy we have ever witnessed, has financially hurt all Americans over the past 10 years. We get it-------- Some never will Well said and as always keep up the good work, even though you dont directly represent me your vision and understanding of the issues and bargaining prowess is what a great leader possesses............... Thank you for everything you do Skilled in Dearborn
  6. Correct For those that think otherwise, AWOL on Friday or January 3rd and come back and complain about losing your holiday pay. Gaming the system will catchup with you sooner or later.
  7. $4,800 here. Seems you need to survey around 39,975 more of us before you figure an "average" Great timing on this profit sharing, before Christmas, paid off FICA and topped out TESPHE :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet:
  8. Good news, thanks for reporting the 220,000,000 goes into the veba. These veba accounts are all separate and not any part of the UAW finances, VEBA accounts are a separate entity The Vebas are stronger for this thanks to the good relationship with the President of the United States and the windfall of funding for our Retiree health care
  9. Yes there are many hard working people that have no employment or busting their butt in a low paying job. I wish we could organize this entire country so they could enjoy the great benefits of belonging to the UAW
  10. He is a liar They are considered step 3 I asked my Bargaining Rep today if he knew anyone from Indy and he knew someone on committee there and he called him and verified that in fact the Chicago postings are up at indy and all are eligible to sign ILO and active within the same trade so the "web" clown is exposed like the fake that he is............. Hmmmm sounds a lot like that chuckie guy,,, no???
  11. Look Troll its obvious you are not at Indy Indy trades are signing the posting The language is also clear and step 3 (Out of zone opportunities) clearly exposes your lies 3. If openings still exist, in-zone employees who are on Indefinite Layoff and/or defined as surplus will be advised of available in-zone posting opportunities for voluntary transfer. Once authorized by the Company's Labor Affairs Office, Local Hourly Personnel Offices at the in-zone location(s} will post a notice for volunteers. Eligible volunteers are I} Employees in the requested trade on Indefinite Layoff 2} Employees in the requested trade defined as surplus 3} Employees on active rolls in the requested trade and are currently working at a facility with employees on Indefinite Layoff or defined as surplus4} Ford employees in the requested trade working at ACH-LLC facilities All active volunteer transfers will be limited to the number of skilled employees in the requested trade on Indefinite Layoff or defined as surplus at that location. If the in-zone opportunities have not been filled, the openings will be filled through the mandatory transfer of in-zone employees on Indefinite Layoff or those defined as surplus. Mandatory placement will be administered in the following order: 1) Skilled Trade employees on Indefinite Layoff, 2) Skilled Trade employees on temporary loans, and 3) Skilled Trade employees working in production. Mandatory placement of these employees will be accomplished according to lowest-to-highest seniority order (Date of Entry). Got to UAW.Org for clear contract language before you spew your lies. (its easy to cut and paste from the site). Good bye Troll
  12. You are either Chucky or someone trying to discredit Indy workers. The posting clearly lists INDY as a location with excess and a location again eligible to sign the Chicago opportunities, just like the Indy Skilled group that signed and went to LAP over the summer Go away troll
  13. +1 Yes congratulations to the new hires,,,, Welcome. Its about time these 57 new hires were finally hired full time after years of being temporary. Some have been temps for over 5 years Welcome all......... DTP production jobs were posted 3 times last year in most zones with little or no volunteers so this scenario finally ended in hiring these well deserved full time jobs
  14. I agree it is crap!!! Who is behind the right to work legislation and pushes the agenda of interested parties (hint: wall street, business)?? HHHHHMMMMMM !!!!! Gee I wonder Anyone, anyone?
  15. This may help sur·plus (sûrpls, -pls) KEY ADJECTIVE: Being more than or in excess of what is needed or required: surplus workers. See Synonyms at superfluous. If Trades are working at TCAP then they are not surplus, quite simple really. I would imagine once the plant closes ant they are ILO then they would be considered surplus (see definition above)
  16. A strike or lock out probability is dropping with every yes vote Keep up the good work with Yes, Yes, Yes !!!!!
  17. This is tough to read because it is a close reality with a no vote. Good post even though its hard to digest the truth sometimes
  18. Thanks Jeff I do believe common sense will take over and a yes vote is the only option to ensure our futures A no vote or strike will put us in a black hole, typically with a unhappy ending
  19. During a strike or lock out (regardless of the length of time) the UAW will pay us $200 per week plus catastrophic medical coverage
  20. We are seeing that this agreement is a positive for all 42,000 of us. Although a lockout or strike is a good possibility, common sense prevails and a yes vote is the only clear choice
  21. My neighbor works at Romeo and he claims Romeo was in line to get either the 6.2 or the 5.0. Because the 2007 local agreement didnt pass the high volume 5.0 went to Canada and the low volume 6.2 went to Romeo. Canada has the ability to do close tolerance machining and high quality machining and volume as well as available floor space. They can squander away the next generation engines and transmissions if labor strife continues in our UAW powertrain plants. Cleveland voted in favor of this agreement to gain future product away from Canada I wouldnt doubt Ford watching closely the voting in our UAW Engine and Transmission plants for future reference Canada and the CAW will use no votes in Transmission and Engine plants to try to gain powertrain investment
  22. Scary comparison, true and a real possibility of happening again
  23. Maybe you didnt read my response or Pioneers response, I love the 4 on 4 off. I NEVER WANT TO GO BACK TO A TRADITIONAL 5 DAY You will love the aws once you are on it. I have made more money year to year on this schedule as well as more days off. 5 DAY SUCKS
  24. Makes sense, just move the shells. The labor rates are directly tied to the product investments and they cant be raised
  25. If the agreement is voted down do we still get the $6000 bonus on the next tentative?
