None of my business what you do but i would stop driving it now. Ford does not do recalls unless it is real serious. If you don't take it in and it does catch on fire who is going to take responsibility for damages. I work for a dealer and we contacted all owners per Fords request.

I posted the TSB he asked for. It is a fix for vehicles GPS with an x across it. The other TSB is for the upgrade to version 3.5 This is what the dealer did for me. I was not experiencing the other problem.

I have version 3.5 on two vehicles and its a crap shoot every time i start the car weather it will be on sirius, fm or one of my 2 thumb drives. happens every time i turn off the car.

The TSB is 12-11-2 This is for reprogramming the GPS modual.

Rk2112 there is a fix for your problem. it was released this week. there is a TSB that was released this week. The GPS module has to be reprogrammed by the dealer.

It comes with 60 operator assist calls. It works out to be 20 per year for a total of 60. It can be used for business search or address search. To the best of my knowledge it is not like 411 and can not be used to find people. Also services does not come free on all sync vehicles. It only comes free on the Escape with My Ford Touch System. If you have the reg radio of the 4 inch My Ford screen Services Is extra. The current cost is $60 per year and comes with 20 operator assist calls.

Mine also really only has one . Not a good situation in my opinion. We do have one other person but is not as knowledgeable as the other.

No It just makes the system reboot like turning off a phone or computer.

Actually i work for a ford dealer and the engineers are working on this and say an update should be out by the end of the month, All we can do is wait and see.

To the best of my knowledge Ford switched to the 2 inch hitch on all vehicles so it would be the same on every vehicle. My 2008 edge came with the 1-1/4 inch hitch. My 2011 Edge came with the 2 inch. The 3500 lb capacity is only on the 2.0 ecoboost engine. I would not tow 3500 lbs with a 4 cyl engine especially in hilly areas. Even more of a concern would be breaking. See towing specs below. Yes you can put music on the sd card. I have used both 2 gig and 4 gig cards. I have used these same ones in my camera. For what you are using you should not need the latest or greatest. Also used a mini sd card that fits inside a regular sd card for pc use. Remember you can only use these if your system does not have Navigation. If you have Navigation the slot is used for the Nav card.

You can do a Master Reset by going into settings on the MyFord touch Screen. A Better option is to do a Hard Reboot. You can do that by pulling the fuse, Disconnecting the battery or using a Flash Drive with the reboot files installed on it. Dealer cannot reinstall the software. When they try ford computer will tell them they have the latest version on the car. I train people on Sync every week and almost never have a problem connecting. If you have another phone i would see if the same thing happens.

The install apps setting is a misleading name. It is actually used to install updates to the system. It should have had a name like update installer. I have been a Sync/MyFord Touch trainer and have never heard of any of the plans mentioned above being added to sync.

The warranty also covers rental car every time you bring it in for service. No more waiting around the showroom or getting a ride somewhere. This part of the warranty starts the firs day.

I believe the reason you are having some problems is what you are saying. If i remember the temp can only be set to temps between 60 & 85 degrees. Setting temp to 22 degrees is not a valid command. I use the full system in both a 2011 edge and a 2013 escape and both cars work great 99% of the time. I also teach Sync and MyFord touch for a dealer and do not see many problems. Yes still needs work but is great technology.

He should be able to give you the ETA date. Vehicle is built in Ky and i live in Al. Less than 4 and 1/2 weeks from order date to delivery. One of the weeks they were closed for the July 4th holiday. Dealers don't want to be bothered but they can just about tell what is going on with the vehicle. Most times it has to do with dealer allocation. It has everything to do with the amount of time. If they don't have allocation they don't get vehicles no matter how many they order.
