On 91? I was wondering what the exact capacity (or bore x stroke) is?

A better view of the new 5 litre. http://lh6.ggpht.com/_Dsh5iJs6Vsg/SzEo7XmH...bg/iIFBRgoY6hI/

Yes, true. I doubt, though, these leaked figures are anything other than what does conform to pollution laws. I've heard figures that are (significantly) higher than 425 in n/a. Very similar to Coyote, but not the same beast. That's there, in the US. But down here the numbers for the same have surprised me when compared to the Jag V8.

2011 Mustang engine specs leaked!
falcman replied to ausrutherford's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
The EB35 will do a few more things. You will notice an outbreak of internet wars between Ford fans all over the US; the subject, V6 turbo v V8. You will not hear the end of it! There will be a tonne of articles that the V8 is now useless and this turbo is means the end of the V8. This will fuel the online wars. The EB35 in the Mustang will eat from the V8 sales, but some will tell you it's only incremental and that it's aimed at the rice market. This will also fuel the arguments. Good luck. -

How specific do you need him to be? Reading between the lines - and ignoring your psycho analysis - it appears there's something quite impressive brewing. -

I don't understand you Americans; why are next year's cars 2011? It's not to make you feel you've bought a car one year before it's release is it?

2011 Mustang engine specs leaked!

Nice post, very informative. Falcon's EB I-4 will be built there (in the U.S.) and brought over here. Scheduled for 2011, and will be the first rwd application for said motor. In other words, you won't get it any earlier? It's 2 litre. -
This is off bradbarnett.net

Sorry, wrong thread.

What Ford now has in the pipeline in terms of new vehicles is due to their go-forward attitude. They're now in the position to offer what no other local does - a full range of highly competitive products; As soon as they recover good and proper they should continue with this form and come out with nothing short of hectic. Interesting. Now why would Falcon's platform be of any interest to Ford US? I mean, although it's the only decent rwd in the Ford family and is fwd compatible, would they want to spend the very little dollars required to make it LHD?

6.2L engine features - Ford Media, 8/17
falcman replied to therealmrmustang's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
This has turned into a nice spark plug thread. The 6.2, I hear, is a gun motor. Easily capable of 500rwhp unopened. That "farm tractor" turbo engine is second to none. With a relatively small amount of dollars you're in the 10's, same weight. -
RWD essentially grounded at Ford?
falcman replied to ZanatWork's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Slightly off topic. Why in God's name was the Mustang never designed for RHD?? I mean, it's a global car in it's own right; easily one of the most recognisable marques on the planet, plus the added goodness of light weight, 4 seats, a thumping V8, and a classical silhouette. No need for IRS, no need for sharing a platform, just send it to every corner of the earth where there's a blue oval dealership. -
Incorrect :burnout:

The n/a 4.0 has the below spec. 262hp @ 6000rpm 289Nm @ 3250rpm 24mpg 3750lbs In base spec the EB2.0 has a peak torque figure of 235ft/lb from as little as 1500rpm to 5500rpm. Much unlike the peaky nature of the typical turbocharged 2 litre, it's quite tractable. But it's the DSG that would amplify these numbers. It's competitor, the VE Commodore, will be getting (this September) a 3L V6 as a base motor, with a peak torque of 225ft/lb at 5200rpm.

170kW is the base output.

Supercharged Coyote V8 Spied in 2010 Falcon GT?
falcman replied to jpd80's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Good stuff. It appears we'll get a blown 5L before the US does; we needed it here, we were desperate for it. It's been a long time since we went lion-hunting. -
Only a couple of official comments from Ford Au, one of those just today >>> http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/ArticleD...ArticleID=62920 It's Quadcam only. Scope for 5.8L. 360/400/450+ versions. Obviously a little more when considering boost. You should get it next year.

Raptor 6.2 power figures in My Ford mag...
falcman replied to blksn8k2's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
This motor is a monster. That would be a mongrel. I thought there was an alloy 5.4SC meant to be used in the GT500? Or is the 6.2-in-a-Mustang meant to be for a later iteration of the GT500? I can see there to be quite a few different and lethal factory SE models as RR and RRR would also give the Mustang a deadly punch. Good times ahead. -
