Looks like somebody clicked on this. I didn't because on my old computer it said I had a virus when I clicked on an IQ test. I shut computer off and rebooted and it was fine again. Last time I took an offline IQ test it was rather high, but I don't remember the score. My high school math teachers use to make me tutor my classmates in Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry. Does that count?

CT's moron governor says this will make cars less efficient and reduce MPG numbers. The car mfrs. are not going to intentionally make less efficient engines. And people aren't dropping like flies from CO2. I know 500 people and only one has asthma. Every human exhales 2.2 lbs. of CO2 per day. CO2 is CO2, no matter where it comes from. The population of the country/world has probably doubled in the last 50 years. So let's do away with people! Oh we are, they're called AI robots/androids! Check out the youtube video of Zager & Evans' IN THE YEAR 2525 with the middle aged woman in black and white.

I knew you were going to call me out on "fact" as soon as I typed it! Well it's a FACT that when Ford abandoned class 8 in 1996/1997, DOT's, municipalities and utility providers who had been purchasing Ford exclusively from cars up to class 8 dumps, now found themselves looking at other class 8 providers AND non Ford vehicles from cars to class 5. That is a fact because it happened, and if something happens, it's a fact. It's also a fact that because Ford was a full-line producer, they could afford to be the low bidder and maybe eat a little loss in some categories but more than make it up in others. It's also true that all these drivers/employees driving everything from a Taurus to F850's to C-series commercial fire apparatus to B-series school buses just might tend to buy a Ford car or truck for their own personal use.

Ford Trucks’ First Electric Big Rig Has Up To 186 Miles Of Range

Yeah, when diesel trucks can go 500 to 2500 miles depending on various factors between refills, this EV range just doesn't cut it. -

I just read a second fire occurred today! And nobody thinks something funny is going on? Since these parts are shipped across state lines, the FBI might get involved. -

Another Dumb Electrical Code Change Could Ban DIY EV Charger Installs
Joe771476 replied to Biker16's topic in E.V. Central
Greedy electrical unions lobby for this legislation. Just like every ten years they come up with another plug configuration so school buildings need upgrades. New dryers used to be 3-pronged -- probably originally 2-pronged. They are are now 4-pronged. I get the grounding advantage. But you don't need any more prongs. But someday they'll be 5 pronged, then 6, then 7. In the name of safety of course! Baloney! Traffic lights went from 1 signal to 2 in each direction. Good idea since either a bulb might burn out or a truck might block your view. But now a third signal is creeping onto the scene. Someday there will be 4 in each direction, then 5, then 6. It will never end. Greed. -
Ford Should Be Concerned About the Kia EV6's Charging Speed - Autoblog
Joe771476 replied to Biker16's topic in E.V. Central
Twenty minutes is still too long when I can fill my gas tank in 5 minutes. Charging overnight is not a problem. Stopping for recharge on the road is a problem. -
European Car Industry: Owning a Car is now only for the Rich
Joe771476 replied to mackinaw's topic in E.V. Central
73 % of Americans say they can't afford a new car. Car loan defaults are at record highs. How can the automotive industry survive if only 27 % of the buying public is able to afford a NEW car? Well you have to charge more money for the cars that are being sold! Just like these fire truck mfrs. They only sell a relatively few trucks, so they ask ridiculous amounts of money for them, strangling the taxpayer. I don't care how much diamond plate, steel, aluminum, electronics or hydraulics is in these trucks, they're not worth a million dollars or more! The balloon is filling up with air. Every once in a while the powers that be untie the balloon in the form of easing interest rates etc. because they don't want the balloon to pop. Now you have the govt. shutdown. The United States and many states are broke! The balloon will pop. Get ready for it. Oh but wait. Never mind. AI -- as in Skynet from the Terminator movies -- will become self-aware and will take over our entire lives including our military defense systems and life on this planet will just about be wiped out. So you won't have to worry about money. The book 1984 written back 60 or so years ago predicted Big Brother as in big business/govt. will know every move you make. Of course that came true. And so will the Terminator prediction. Have a nice day now! -
Ford CEO Jim Farley Says Large EVs Over $50K Aren’t Viable

Ford CEO Jim Farley Says Large EVs Over $50K Aren’t Viable
Joe771476 replied to Sherminator98's topic in E.V. Central
I knew the EV craze wouldn't last even if the tax credits were still in place. The quickest charge is 20 minutes. I can fill my gas tank in 5. These electric school bus mfrs. are closing leaving municipalities with no parts or repairs. And if federal and state govts. can force mfrs. to make EV's and make consumers buy them, then we're on our way to socialism. -
Ford CEO Jim Farley Says Large EVs Over $50K Aren’t Viable

You mean my opinion? Anyway, I've sent suggestions into DOT's and municipalities regarding road safety issues and they've implemented all of them. -
Ford CEO Jim Farley Says Large EVs Over $50K Aren’t Viable
Joe771476 replied to Sherminator98's topic in E.V. Central
You know, if Farley had asked me if Ford should go full tilt into EV's, I would have said no! I would have suggested baby steps. If the CEO of Cracker Barrel had asked me if they should sterilize the decorum and paint the walls white and change the logo, I would have said no! I would have saved Ford double-digit billions and Cracker Barrel 700 million. But nobody asked me! -

Just want to extend condolences to the loved ones of victims of the UPS plane crash in Louisville, Kentucky. One article stated a Ford plant was dangerously close to the crash. Just curious, is there more than one?
