  1. Thats my problem, we have a lease on a Liberty right now that is up in 2 years. The way I look at it is all the "late addition" stuff will all be added by the time I am looking so ill get that benefit.
  2. Alright give me the lowdown on the SE engines: 2.5L 1.6L Eco 2.0L Eco I'm considering getting the 1.6L ecoboost in a stick, where will that fall on the MPG range?
  3. May I request a price (if you have it). I'm looking for either an SE or Titanium with three options, MFT, leather and moon roof. Is it still going to be around the 25k mark?
  4. Do we have any idea of the pricing yet? I saw on Edmunds (or something like that) that it would be priced between $19,000 and $45,000. I really hope the 45 number they are quoting is the electric. I just traded in my 2010 Fusion and really hope that I can get a similarly equipped 2013 Fusion for under 30k (I had an I-4 SEL w/o nav).
  5. So can I say that the only thing that concerns me about the new Fusion is the damn goose neck trunk supports? What happened to the shocks?
  6. My perfect example of this is the Ranger 3.0L V-6 v the 4.0L V-6. I had both, the fuel economy in the 3.0 was horrible, I mean F-150 horrible, while the larger 4.0 while not good was at least 2-3 mpg better.
  7. Yes, we got a new Liberty in July because they offered $6,000 in incentives.
  8. I figured it was something along those lines. Thank you very much for your reply!
  9. So the girlfriend has totally taken over my Fusion since she drives 150 miles a day to work and I am driving her new Liberty. Anyways she pulls in the driveway yesterday and mentions to me that the AC is not working very well, so I check it out and its not blowing hard at all. I already had the blower motor replaced under warranty a while ago so I didn't think that was the problem. Anyways I look at it for a while, check air filters, etc (my cabin filter really needs to be replaced) and I remove the cabin filter and turn the blower on full and its working like it is suppose to. So I replace everything and notice that a lot of water is dripping from the car (more than normal) but I don't really think anything about it. So we get in the car to run to the store and I put it on Max AC and a hear a noise like something fell inside the vents and little pieces of ice come out of the vents but after that everything works fine. What should/can I do about this? its 1,000 miles over warranty, any ideas?
  10. I think that is about all you can say about it is that it has adequate power. My I-4 Fusion goes 0-60 faster than that and it has 35 more HP (though mine is lighter). I actually think the interior room is perfect, from what I can tell its about the same size as the old (95-01) Explorer. I don't know if the wheel radius is smaller but the grip size of the wheel is huge, I would say close to twice the size of my Fusions wheel. But beyond that it is hard to turn, I went online to a few Jeep forums and apparently its like that with all Jeeps. As for the interiors I will agree with you the last 5 or so years of Chrysler interiors have been sub par on almost every level. But I do have to say for an offroading style vehicle like this the hard plastic and general design on the Liberty's interior is very good. I will say though that the seats are not great, they are growing on me but they are not great.
  11. As much as I tried to get my girlfriend into an Escape I failed, well actually the incentives failed to lure her toward Ford. So I have been driving this beast for the last week since she stole my Fusion I have a few points to point out. First is I don't understand how they are ever going to comply with CAFE standards with this vehicle, I really hope its just because its new and hasn't been broke in yet but I get about 15mpg on the highway. Second is its really hard to turn, I guess I'm just use to my Fusion where I can turn it with one finger on the wheel; this thing I have to almost have two hands on the wheel to back into parking spots, etc. The third is that the 4 speed transmission should be never put into a new vehicle, its ridiculous. But overall its not a bad little truck, I'm glad that its only a two year lease though. In all honesty she would have gone with the Escape but Jeep was offering 6k in lease incentives and it was just to much to turn down.
  12. I usually don't chime in to much here but thought I would put my two cents in. My girlfriend has a new Charger and I have a '10 Fusion I-4. Its like night and day between the two vehicles (even though according to the numbers the interior space is damn near the same). The Fusion seems more refined and just a pleasure to drive whereas the Charger feels like I am constantly fighting it to do what I want (for some reason the steering is just difficult). I don't understand the comparison between the two in this thread because they really are not meant to be shopped together.
  13. Greetings everyone. We are considering getting an F-150 FX4 and I would like to know the specifics on if and what I can do. Due to my fiance's work from home job she will be driving the truck 75% of the time with me the remaining 25%. Anyways we both get X plan through work (though some of the local dealerships have better pricing than I can get on X plan) and I would like to order the vehicle to make sure we get everything we want but don't know if you can do that on X plan if you are planning on leasing it. Any thoughts? Thanks!
  14. Greetings everyone, I would like your opinions on new tires for the 2010 SEL Fusion. Since I live in Michigan and only have FWD I'm looking for a good all year tire. I have had the SUV version of these tires (Goodyear Assurance TripleTred) before and loved them and am considering them for my car now. But I figured I would check to see if anyone has any advice on this topic. Thanks!
  15. Well that was a big choice for me when I got my Fusion, wither get the I-4 with greater gas mileage or the V-6 AWD and would effectively eliminate my need for a truck of SUV in the Michigan winters. I chose the gas mileage because I can always pick up a second hand SUV cheap if the need arises.
  16. Interesting, my '10 Fusion just rolled over 32k miles on it with no transmission issues. The only time I had an issue with the transmission was I had one very violent downshift with a clunk at wbout 5,000 miles but nothing but smooth sailing after that.
  17. I currently have a 2010 Fusion with the Sony 12 speaker system or whatever it is. I very much enjoy it, whenever I get in my girlfriends Charger that has the standard 4 speaker system it is extremely disappointing. In the past I have had a 2005 F-150 with the "Audiophile" system, overall I would rate that as a very good system with very good base but not worth the space that it takes up in the extended cab. I also had a 1995 Explorer with the JBL system, that as not good, and it was a PITA to rewire everything too.
