  1. Deanh...that is true, but you have a customer out of the market for at least 4 years. The '15 truck is still new,and the pent up demand can command the big price, and the low $1000.00 rebate...how long will that last?....those price buyers are a big chunk of the market
  2. Toyota's 129/mo. Corolla leases and 149/mo Camry leases are killing the domestic car sales. The imports are really incentivising vehicles. Ford has very low days supply on 15 150's and our '14 150's doesn't have the same money on the hood as Fiat and GM has.
  3. I don't think it will be 400K I see 100K higer than the previous model. Around 250K. However nothing suprises me anymore.
  4. Depends on all the details, but If the car could be traded fairly to another vehicle, and get everyone trusting again, that could work. A repaired transmission, with a 100,000 mile warranty, along with a first class paint repair, and maybe some in store service/parts credit would work also.
  5. In extreme issues like this one, timing is everything. Trust has to be earned, and addressing the customer's problem early...and by someone who could make real decisions certainly would have created a better working environment. I really hate that happened.
  6. As the dealer,I would ask you a straight out question..."What exactly can the dealership do to make you happy?" I would petition Ford to assist in anything I couldn't do. Sometimes when a situation is not remidied by the dealer timely, nothing can really make the customer satisfied. If that is the case,I would assist the customer in any way securing another vehicle, even if it came from another dealership.
  7. I just don't know how they could justify the Flex and MKT,but not justify a Utility like the Bronco,or Bronco II. That Concept Bronco would have been a huge hit for Ford.
  8. Have you spoken personally to the dealer about this? I am sure he would want to get to the bottom of this. Many dealers use 3rd party body shops, using them should not be an indictment on the dealerships commitment to servicing their customers.
  9. In the premium luxury market in the States, the domestics always under-estimate the "snob factor".
  10. Ford will take their shots with this truck, it will be questioned, dissected, tested and examened by friends and foes alike. But when you are on the leading edge of the truck business...it's gong to happen.
  11. The very early Tempo/Topaz were real headaches...the later ones were good, depenable vehicles. The Early Contour/Mystique were an electrical nightmare.
  12. Love to see a new Taurus...but with a lot of changes. I hope we get one soon.
  13. My problem is I never hear of a story of any other performance car losing HP running low grade fuel. They all do it,but I don't know why Ford is the ONLY maker that gets called out.
  14. It's on the front page of Yahoo! today. Not good press...but should completely blow over in a month.
  15. The only potential pitfall to this truck is the huge jump in the transaction price...hopefully that won't be the case.
  16. My dad had a coupe of Mark lV's A Diamond Jubelee edition in a light blue, and a Dark Emerald Green Bill Blass edition...awesome cars
  17. I think vehicles have almost gotten to the limit on fuel mileage, unless somehow vehicles can become lighter without compromising safety, comfort or convenience customers demand.
  18. If GM or Fiat grab a lot of share, it might be an issue, other than that I could see Ford keeping incentives low on FSeries.
  19. I frankly don't see Ford increasing the '14 rebates at all, in fact the 14 truck incentives could go down...why? The price walk between the 14 and 15 is BIG. With the lack of inventory, Ford could very well increase the transaction price of the 14's without effecting the 15's in the short term.
  20. Based on the slow run up on the 15's and basicly the same incentives on the 14's as we've had all year...I see it taking a while to get the inventory balanced.
  21. Lincoln names they should bring back: Zephyr Aviator Continental Blackwood
  22. My values I give customers is a number I will write a check for...regardless if they buy my vehicle or not.
  23. Example 2010 Ford Edge AWD SEL 60,000 miles. Manheim auction report base average transaction price $13,800. This averages all colors, all equipment in average condition. NADA (base SEL AWD unit) no adds except mileage 13,150 KBB( base SEL AWD unit) no adds except mileage 12,628 Look at the differences. This past week twelve 2010 Edge AWD SEL's passed through Manhiem's auction. Not every vehicle will be higher on Manhiem VS KBB or NADA. Used vehicle values are opinions when it gets down to it.
