US Fiesta ending production this year
ironhorse replied to blazerdude20's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Sorry the car was/is a turd. -
Ranger, and Bronco, going to MAP?
ironhorse replied to mackinaw's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Seems to me this is a trial balloon by Ford's PR dept. This does a couple of things...gets some buzz on 2 products that have a following, and puts some distance on Donald Trump's Ford bashing on his stump speeches. -
What would you swap an Ecoboost into?
ironhorse replied to Stray Kat's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
The Ecoboost would be sweet in a '66-75 Bronco. -
Ford Motor Company June 2015 Sales Figures
ironhorse replied to Anthony's topic in Production and Sales
GM and Dodge are very aggressive on pricing...and they have a ton of truck inventory...GM put 0% for 72 months on most vehicles...including the Silverado. -
When did F150 get so pricey?
ironhorse replied to Sevensecondsuv's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
It's been discussed here...the price hike is just our imagination, and we don't know how to order and spec out trucks. -
Ford Motor Company March 2015 sales down 3%
ironhorse replied to PREMiERdrum's topic in Production and Sales
Flex and MKT struggle, because of the way they look. Way too polarizing... Ford missed the mark completely. Fusion sells because it is a very attractive car, that has competitive performance with it's competition . -
Ford Motor Company March 2015 sales down 3%
ironhorse replied to PREMiERdrum's topic in Production and Sales
I'm in hill country, flat land should move that to mid 30's+. Use the ecoboost power, and it will use fuel. Customers should be educated on getting the most out of the ecoboost in any application. -
Ford Motor Company March 2015 sales down 3%
ironhorse replied to PREMiERdrum's topic in Production and Sales
A 1.5 ecoboost Fusion will consistantly get 30-33 mpg on the highway as long as you stay between 58- 60 mph...with a steady foot. -
Ford Motor Company March 2015 sales down 3%
ironhorse replied to PREMiERdrum's topic in Production and Sales
Never understood why Ford did not share platforms/parts with the Fseries and the Expedition like GM has with the Tahoe/Silverado. -
Ford Motor Company March 2015 sales down 3%
ironhorse replied to PREMiERdrum's topic in Production and Sales
The Focus is a better value, very comparible mileage, more room, and a more attractive transaction price than a Fiesta. -
Ford Motor Company March 2015 sales down 3%
ironhorse replied to PREMiERdrum's topic in Production and Sales
We are basicly out of Escape,Explorer, and Fseries. Inventory is the culprit for March not being record breaking. -

Like Deanh posted, many Ford lines are in very short supply. -
The front grill needs a rake instead of straight up and down.

Supply is tight.

In my experience, everytime Ford introduces a "New" truck, the vast majority of the early sales are the loaded models. That is not unusual, and not indicitive of future sales.

Love the updates on the '15 Focus. The remaining '14's have really good incentives.

Toyota has worked the system to it's advantage...while Ford and Chevy has been trying to one up each other, Toyota hasn't had to do anything except manipulate currency, dump product at a loss, and make no substantial changes to any of their platforms....and rake in obscene profits at Ford and GM's expense. The media has also been culpable for not holding Toyota to the same criticism and standards as the domestics.

The Camry is the same basic 20 year old platform.Same for the Corolla. the Tacoma is basicly the the same Tacoma it has been for 20 years. Toyota doesn't scrap things that work. They are the masters at convincing the buying public that a Lexus is completely different than a Toyota.
