  1. You can't order a 2014 anymore. It would be a 2015 model and they don't start production until June, hence the delay.
  2. Point taken. I generally don't follow the Mustang so I'll duck out of this thread.
  3. Nothing major is planned for 2015. Most of the changes affect the Sport series. Color Changes Sunset Metallic > Bronze Fire Metallic Kodiak Brown Metallic > Caribou Metallic Sterling Gray Metallic > Magnetic Metallic Sport Changes Body-colored door handles standard 2nd Row Bucket Seats include Power-Assist Fold PowerFold 3rd Row Seat standard Heated Steering Wheel added to 401A Trailer Tow Package Class III standard Other Changes 18" Painted Aluminum Wheels standard on Base Appearance Package available on XLT
  4. The spy shots of the 2015 Mustang with prominent "50" badges on the side seem to contradict this.
  5. My MKZ does this too, but I haven't experienced any other issues with the battery or windows as you mentioned. There's obviously a bug somewhere in the code, but I haven't figured out the trigger yet. It only happens once or twice a month, and is but a minor nuisance so I just change it back and forget about it.
  6. It's so painful watching these interviews. The representatives are so well trained to only state the company line and talk about what's already been announced that you can't get their honest opinions and they say the same things 10 times. You almost wonder why they even bother going on.
  7. I had the momentary turn signal in my 2012 Edge and got used to it. When I turned that in for my 2014 MKZ, it came with a more conventional turn signal that also offers the tap to pass feature but clicks into place if you want to leave it on. I had my car in the shop one day and had a 2013 MKZ loaner which once again had the momentary turn signal and absolutely hated it this time. I think they finally got it right with their 2014 models.
  8. The 2014 models didn't start arriving until December, so there is likely still 2013 inventory left that they want to sell. Lincoln did the same thing with the MKZ and MKS and kept the 2013 models up on the website for 2-3 months after the 2014 models had arrived. The only reason I can come up with is it allows them to highlight the greater incentives on the previous year's model for people who are shopping prices.
  9. The bad weather appears to have impacted Ford's car sales the most. Utility sales were generally flat and just edged out car sales. I wonder when was the last time this was the case.
  10. That looks an awful lot like the Transit Connect, albeit much more upscale. I especially like the club seating concept. Considering the article mentions there's a commercial version of the van that's already coming to the U.S., it sounds as though it does fall into the same vehicle class as the Transit Connect. If Ford thinks they can make a go of it, it's worth a shot at MB.
  11. Well yeah, the other color names are well known, but it's that last one that's the mystery.
  12. Here's a link to the picture with the color options. Unfortunately, it's still not quite clear enough to read the names. http://www.carrentingreviews.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Autoshow_2015-Lincoln-MKC_signature-colors.jpg
  13. I see they have a 10th color on the boards in the MKC Signature Finishes display. It appears to be Sunset, but I haven't seen any mention of this either on the website or order guide. They had a similar board with the different paint and interior colors at NAIAS and I can't recall seeing it there either. I've come to love this color more and more the longer I've had my car. It would be great to see them carry it over for additional model years. The purple is another one of those colors that my initial reaction was "what were they thinking?" but I think could grow on me. I was hoping it would be a little truer to real Tahitian Pearls than the website suggests and have more of a color-shifting aspect to it, but it's simply deep purple. Still, it's a bold and unique option that will be interesting to see on the road.
  14. I still don't see it. I think you guys are reading far too much into it. Plus, I'm sure the MKS will have some unique styling to it and won't be a scaled-up clone of the MKZ.
  15. It looked like a standard MKZ to me. Am I missing something?
  16. The headline is not quite accurate. Ford sources over on the Fusion Hybrid forums indicated that MyFord Touch systems are NOT scheduled to receive AppLink at this time, nor is there a timetable to do so. The plan is for all cars built since 2010 with non-touch versions of Sync to get the update.
  17. The MKC configurator has been online for over a month and they're just now noticing?
  18. I watched their press conference, and it was little more than going over their current lineup. It was mostly North American-centric, however they did include the EcoSport and Ranger (although did not show the cars in person). They did not show the Edge in person but did show a photo of the concept and current model, so that reveal must be getting close. They also excluded so much as a mention of the Expedition, which we know has a refresh on the way. I predict Expedition will be at Chicago and Edge will be at New York. There should also be the Focus refresh which will debut in Europe first. But yes, as expected the F-150 is the only new product at this show, not even any new concepts.
  19. Considering virtually everything leaks in advance these days, the F-150 is likely the only star of the show. While disappointing to those wanting more, it is the top selling vehicle in the US and worthy of having the stage to itself.
  20. Lower hybrid mileage in winter is just a fact of life. The best thing you can do is take longer trips as on short trips the car is running the engine to warm up most of the time. If you are taking any very short trips, turning off the heat is a good idea because by the time the engine runs long enough for the blower to come on, you will already be at or near your destination having wasted gas for nothing. Likewise, if you are nearing your destination and the car isn't going into EV mode, switching the heat off is a good idea as the car won't cool that much by the time you stop and you'll make the most of your battery charge. I just remind myself that I'm still using far less gas than I would be with a conventional engine, and look forward to warmer months where the car truly shines.
  21. It seems far more likely that the production Edge will debut in NY, with the MKX not following until the fall. They certainly won't reveal both at the same show.
  22. I bet you have installed the soft touch seats and haven't even realized it. When designed properly, they should be virtually indistinguishable from real leather.
  23. This announcement would make more sense if it was related to the redesigned 2015 model. I'm not sure why they are making structural changes late in the run of an outgoing model.
  24. I've taken to referring to the color as "ivory" based on my observations.
  25. It appears that it's just Flat Rock that is starting production early. This might have to do with the changeover required for the new Mustang. Hermosillo won't be starting 2015 production until July 14, which is essentially the same as it was this year.
