Maybe some truth to that. But, Camaro sales have beat Mustang sales for the last 5 years. Is it because of price or performance? I don't know.

The fact of the matter is Ford's PP is not as good as GM's 1LE package on the track. Now, is Ford's PP easier to live with on the street? Absolutely. So if you want a car you can enjoy every day and a blast to drive get the Mustang GT with PP. If you want to get your kidneys all shook up and some back pain get the Camaro SS with the 1LE package or drive it on the track like it was intended.

I don't know what video you watched. The GT had the PP with all the upgrades Ford offers including the Pirelli Y speed rated tires, 3.73 gears, upgraded springs and shocks. Ford's PP doesn't compare to the Camaro 1LE package. I hope the GT 350 does better.

And the GT cost more.

The 1LE is essentially Camaro's version of the Boss 302, an analogue to which Ford doesn't have out yet. It wasn't a straight-across comparison whether the Mustang had the track pack or not. No it's not. The Z28 is the Boss 302 version. The 1LE is the GT competition.

No. I didn't mean the article had anything to do with impacting sales figures. I just think the sales of the new Mustang in general for the U.S. aren't going to be as good as everyone thinks. Europe sales could be good with the Ecoboost selling well there.
