https://www.google.com/amp/s/fordauthority.com/2021/03/2022-lincoln-navigator-spied-testing-alongside-last-gen-cadillac-escalade/amp/ Why would ford be benchmarking the last gen escalade for the refresh? Are they testing with other vehicles? I hope they are benchmarking the Germans. Honestly, they should use the aviator as a benchmarking for the nav as the aviator os lauded for its comfort on road.

Surprising, but this is the first comparo with the black label and another suv other than the escalade. There was one where a bl was up against the last gen escalade plat, but that was in 2018. Ford has an opportunity to rele separate itself by taking the refresh seriously and tightening up some of these complaints, these complaints are universal for every critic.

The nav will probably keep many hard buttons so there's no need for a bigger screen. The expedition new screen will absorb the hvac controls completely.

Interior Picture of the 2022 Lincoln Navigator?

The escalades interior has nothin special compared to the nav except newer technology. If the nav can match the tech, the interior ambiance itself will carry it over the escalade, esp the black label. -
The navs gauges are digital but its on a smaller 12" display. I think they will be using a 15" or larger display with more configuration opt.

It looks like it may be getting the aviator steering wheel(the faux front buttons). Also, the front tach bin looks larger, so the tach display will be getting overhauled as well.

Most likely end of this year, since the model year changeover for these models happen towards the end of the year. But the new nav should get some type of variation of sync 4, a larger screen. Im personally hoping for air suspension addition.

New Vehicle Break In - Still a thing?
Dlcorbett replied to HofstraJet's topic in Lincoln Navigator Forum
The way I see it, plenty of people travel across state lines to buy cars they want off the lot, then drive it back on a mini vacation. You should be fine, the engine is tortured to handle more than a leisurely highway ride. -
2020 Navigator, which trims have Adaptive Suspension
Dlcorbett replied to haulingit's topic in Lincoln Navigator Forum
I did drive a 2020 right after driving the denali, but not on the same roads. The denali was quieter, and newer feeling(tighter, less jittery), but the nav had a better ride. I tried out the different modes, and on main roads, eco would not be my choice to use. Its more absorbent, but it adds more cabin jiggle and back end looseness. Normal was perfect. Wife said full stop, the nav was the most comfortable car she's ever been in, but wants to compare it to a fully loaded expy as well. -
2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Scooped With Striking New Design
Dlcorbett replied to Dequindre's topic in Competing Products
The wagoneer will be for a while different segment of vehicle. The 7 seater grand cherokee is mainly for people who want a mid sized crossover and don't want the utility of a full sized suv. Most people who wants an expedition wants an expedition sized vehicle, im sure they won't rele be swayed to an explorer. Actually most people who want the expedition had an explorer or equivalent and find it too small for teen sized people. -
2021 Lincoln Nautilus new interior?

Why is ford getting rid of the edge? Seems like a huge misstep by not offering a mid size sedan then offing the mid sized suv option. -
2020 Navigator, which trims have Adaptive Suspension
Dlcorbett replied to haulingit's topic in Lincoln Navigator Forum
I havent driven a lincoln navigator since 2018, and I havent driven a expy since earlier this year, I was able to drive a yukon xl denali today. It didn't have air springs, but did have 22in wheels and magneride. From what I remember, it wasnt as planted as my expy, and not as isolating as the nav. It was comfy, but I guess I was expecting more. Its impressive, but after seeing the 2022 expy/navi being worked on, its not a clear home run over the current ford trucks in my opinion. -
So finally test drove a yukon xl denali. The one we drove did not have the air springs, but had 22s and magnet ride. Things I liked, the infotainment screen is huge and has great clarity. The cameras are HD and has a lot of viewing options which is great. The tech in it works well like the auto stop, lane assist, and heads up display looks phenomenal. Also, the interior is one of the quietest I've ever experienced in autodom. However, things I didnt care for, the ride and handling without air springs isn't a huge step forward I was expecting. Though the tech worked well, I felt the tech was std(lane assist instead of lane centering). The front felt very roomy, but not the rear. The third row especially less roomy than the last gen version(xl). Also, theres so many buttons and they are placed haphazardly on the dash. I couldnt find anything I needed quickly. In all, my wife and both agreed, when the time comes, we won't be getting a denali. There was nothing about it that was really better than an expy outside of the infotainment and hud. Other than that, it doesnt ride much better if at all(honestly i thought it rode and handled worse than our old expy ltd with base shocks), its not roomier, and not as easy to use. The seats weren't as comfy, and the sound system wasn't as good either.
