  1. I think ford is being a bit optimistic with their projections. 600k evs this year and 2 mil by 2026? Through Feb this year they only sold 8,770 electric vehicles. Even including hybrids doesn’t get them anywhere close to 600k this year.
  2. Even though I knew it was smaller than the escape, it was hard to visualize the actual size of this vehicle. It looks fairly large in the pictures. This video gives you a good idea of its size. It looks quite small next to what I assume is someone 6ft or less.
  3. The interior looks cool and I like that the screen can slide up and down. Exterior is meh. It’s not bad looking, but not very exciting either. It’s much better looking than the VW or the escape/kuga though. A different front end would probably do wonders for it (side and rear look pretty good)
  4. what is your definition of flashy? I would not consider a single one of these trucks flashy. The one thing they all have in common besides the ranger is the “off road” look every manufacturer is putting on every vehicle. Even the wildtrak looks tame compared to the others. Raptor is the only ranger that actually looks good. I get it, you are a function over form guy. Nothing wrong with that. I say a six foot bed on a ranger looks ridiculous, but you love it because you will use it. I have no need for it and would prefer to have a good looking vehicle if I’m going to pay 40-60k for it.
  5. I think the new ranger front end is a bit boring compared to the other new midsizers coming out (I know the Toyota below is a concept but it looks pretty close to the CAD images of the new Tacoma). I’d rank the ranger last out of these if only considering exterior design. The ranger seems to play it safe while all the others went with a more aggressive style. Its interior is nicer than the frontier for sure, but the Chevy and gmc are better inside. The one advantage the ranger has on the interior is the vertical screen, which I prefer over horizontal.
  6. With ford quality and software issues as of late, you don’t have to worry, it won’t work anyways ?
  7. What a PR nightmare. Alienate your customers in favor of banks.
  8. https://fordauthority.com/2023/02/u-s-2024-ford-ranger-lariat-spotted-with-rear-bumper-steps/ we finally have the step on a NA ranger ?. This lariat looks almost identical to the xlt sport too.
  9. https://www.motor1.com/news/652097/2025-ram-1500-rev-debut-super-bowl-commercial/ In my opinion this looks much better then the concept.
  10. It baffles me how all these vehicles are in the 6 fig range. I guess I’m getting old because when I think of 100k I think of Lamborghini or Ferrari, not suburban, jeep, or f250 ?
  11. Completely agree on the integra. I can see the Prius winning though. With the new redesign, it’s a much better looking vehicle inside and out, while still providing great mileage at an affordable price.
  12. More pics of NA ranger https://fordauthority.com/2023/02/us-market-2024-ford-ranger-xlt-spotted-fully-undisguised/ this looks different then the previous ones as it’s front end seems to resemble the Australian ranger with the black sections going from the grille to the bumper. It’s hard to tell if there is a separate bumper or not. The bottom is a different color, but I can’t tell if there is actual separation or if it’s just and illusion to make you think there is. Also, this is the second NA ranger we have seen that does not have the step in the back of the bed. Did this feature get removed for NA or are they just trying to hide it? wheels look like they could be carryovers from the ranger splash. That’s a bit disappointing.
  13. Exactly, and Ford is terrible at putting packages together. Look at the Bronco for example. You have to get the most expensive package just to add the wireless charger, something that is included in the cheapest option package on most other vehicles.
  14. Good, it was painful having to cheer for HAAS and them never winning. Ford being involved with Red Bull means I can actually cheer for a winner now ?
  15. VW’s design isn’t helping the case for ev sedans. That thing is hideous, just like all of VW’s EVs. IMO people don’t want to pay an EV premium for commuter car looks.
  16. The trail boss has a 2” lift and is 3.5” wider than the z71. IMO strictly looking at off-road ability, it’s a step above the Z71. It’s like a base-squatch bronco. I’d still guess the ZR2 is above the Tremor. I don’t know much about fox shocks vs multimatic, maybe one is better then the other, but the zr2 seems to add much more then the tremor package does, including a completely different front end.
  17. Hopefully that backend is fake. Looks like a prius
  18. That’s really the question isn’t it? If Raptor is above ZR2, then this is kinda how I see it. Chevy - Ford Z71 = FX4 Trail Boss = Tremor XLT Nothing comparable = Tremor Lariat ZR2 = Nothing comparable Nothing comparable = Raptor 80hp is a big difference between the two.
  19. F150 Raptor and Bronco are both priced similar to their competition. For example, TRX is $83k, Rubicon 392 is $82k. I hope that holds true for the ranger as well. It depends on what options are standard on the raptor I guess. I think the ZR2 comes with cloth seats standard and has many packages that can increase the price. If the ranger comes standard with most of the options available then I could see it in the mid to upper 50’s.
  20. Does anyone have an idea of what the pricing might be like on the raptor? 2023 Colorado ZR2 - $48,690 With Desert Boss Package - $57,985 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X - $56,995 With Edition 1 Package - $66,290 $55k puts it too close to the Desert Boss which has quite a few accessories on it that the raptor doesn’t have. It also puts it well above the ZR2. Does ford try to keep it around 48-50k to keep it close to the ZR2, or do they think the raptor commands a premium over the ZR2 and go around 52-55k? My guess is that it will MSRP for $49,995.
  21. They have it on all of their sites too, bronco6g, tacoma4g, and their f150 and Maverick sites. I’d guess this was leaked by ford as others have said.
  22. https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/6th-gen-2024-ranger-raptor-rolling-down-map-production-line-?.7213/ looks like raptors already being built at map. Looks pretty good.
  23. https://fordauthority.com/2023/01/will-the-2024-ford-ranger-tremor-be-offered-with-supercab/ this will make some of you happy. Looks to be a NA ranger with a supercab and possibly the tremor package.
  24. First time I have seen this pic. That’s the Chinese explorer timberline? I actually like that. This with the Chinese explorer interior would be a winner here. Maybe not in that orange, but I imagine forged green or carbonized gray would look pretty good.
