  1. It looks to have a fastback design. Someone mentioned the Honda Crosstour earlier. I think it will maybe be similar to that but look sportier maybe?
  2. I like the trail boss trim, probably because the front is black and hides most of what’s going on up there. The rest are pretty bad.
  3. I don’t particularly care for the grille on most of the trims on the f150. The chrome surround looks too much like an oval. Then there is the interior oval shape in black. I don’t think that shape goes well with the boxy shape of the truck. the lariat doesn’t have that trim and looks much better in my opinion. and then the tremor grille looks the best.
  4. here are some images Hyundai has released of the ioniq 5 ev. It should debut next month. It has 308 hp and 5.2 0-62mph. Range is around 280 miles.Gotta say I kinda like the headlights and taillights. If I were looking for a hatchback ev, I’d definitely choose this over a bolt. spy shots concept
  5. As someone mentioned previously, an suv with a using door would be cool. With parking spaces getting smaller and vehicles getting larger, sliding doors on cars, trucks and SUVs make sense, you just need a good way to hide the rail.
  6. a few more pics give a bit better look of the headlights.
  7. Maybe you are right. The leaked pic seems to show front and rear fenders that stick out at bit too, but i can’t see that here in the spy shots, of course it could be the camo doing its job too.
  8. I’m curious about the headlights. The spy shots seem to show a vertical element to the headlight (it looks like there are 2 or three bulbs stacked on top of each other), but in the leaked pic from a year ago, it looked like they were horizontal below the two bars.
  9. I’ve heard several people say they are or have already taken their Area 51 bronco sports to Area 51 for pics. Those soldiers guarding the place are gonna hate Broncos here pretty soon ?
  10. https://fordauthority.com/2021/01/2023-ford-ranger-prototype-spied-testing-for-first-time-ever/ pics out testing. Shape looks very similar to the current model. Headlights look like the ones on the maverick leak. I really like the stance it has. Lots of ground clearance.
  11. Ford’s just trying to milk as much money from the early adopters as they can lol
  12. I think it comes out in the rest of the world a year before it does in the USA. I could be mistaken though.
  13. I can’t remember the vehicle, but I saw a picture of one with the start button in the center console. I think the area right below the shifter dial where the other buttons are would be a good place. With that said, I think the placement of the current button isn’t a big deal. I think it looks harder to get to in pictures then it actually is. When I drove an escape, I didn’t notice it at all.
  14. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/pictures/2021-jeep-grand-cherokee-l-suv/50/?_amp_linker=1*18w8h5n*id*Z1A5UEdUZ2VDMmZ1bm1YZHcyeFh6WjlPUEpWa2xWLURXTUZheGJGVG16a25OMEV2SHlSUTRRVTFOemRkbHp4WQ.. the exterior is ok. I’m not sure why Jeep feels like they need to put random strips of chrome on all their new vehicles. I really like the interior though.
  15. https://fordauthority.com/2021/01/2022-ford-fusion-crossover-prototype-spied-testing-for-the-first-time/ Cant get the pics to load for some reason. It looks to have an interesting shape. There’s some fake cladding on the back to disguise its shape, but you can see some of the camo underneath that. I kinda think it might have a 4 door coupe styling more than a wagon. This looks to be a different vehicle than what we saw last week. edit: I thought this was different from last weeks pic, but maybe they are the same and it was the angles of the pics that made it look different.
  16. Yeah I agree, everyone wants to think they are getting a deal. $500 will make customers feel that way even though it’s really insignificant compared to the total price. Also prices went up $160 recently so it’s really only a $340 discount from the original msrp.
  17. Bronco sport has $500 in incentives now. Surprised to see that this early, but of course that’s about as low an incentive you’ll find.
  18. Does anyone know when we might expect to see some more info on the new ranger? My bronco builds are getting expensive and I would still have to make lots of compromises. The ranger would actually be a more useful vehicle and I can still do any of the off road activities I would need to in it, all with a lower price and more features/options.
  19. you are probably right. In my mind it seems simple to just get the bumper molds from Europe and then start using them here but I’m sure it’s quite a bit more complicated then that ?
  20. I think those are the kuga st line wheels. They look to be an improvement over all the wheels offered on the current escape, including the titanium or sel. I’m not sure how black front and rear bumpers will look. Surely the whole bumpers won’t be black as that would look pretty dumb. Hopefully its just some nice trim pieces. the grille sounds like a version on the kuga as well. That grille is the exact opposite of sporty. Hopefully it’s not just a black version of that. They already have the perfect sport appearance package, I’m not sure why they don’t just use this. The grille looks better and the area around the fog lights is a vast improvement.
  21. Thanks for the article. I was curious what Ford was doing with solid state batteries. I had heard Toyota was well on its way of producing their own batteries that should be available in a couple of years.
  22. Yep, all personal opinion there. I think the crv looks like a mini van interior but it has really good materials. Everything was soft touch. The crv, cx5 and equinox are also fairly old vehicles now, yet they still stack up well against the brand new escape. Think of what the difference will be when they get new interiors. The industry is heading towards giant screens in all vehicles now, I think ford should take this opportunity to be a leader in the segment and put the Mach e’s screen in the escape. I think that would drastically change people’s perception of the interior. Then all you need to do is change the front clip and you have a vehicle that’s at the top of its class. Using some of the Mach e’s visual tricks to make it more coupe like would help too.
  23. Here is some of the competitions interiors: Nissan Rogue Hyundai Tuscon honda crv Toyota rav4 chevrolet equinox mazda cx5 Bronco sport ford escape The escape is one of the newer designs here but it already looks old to me. The only interior that is worse is the equinox. The screen on the rav4 looks cheap, but otherwise I like it’s rugged looking design. If Toyota fixed the screen with its giant bezel it would be a lot better but for now it’s only slightly better than the escape. The layout of the Honda isn’t exciting at all, but the materials are much better than the escapes, which give it a more premium feel. The Mazda has a very similar design to the escape but they managed to make an interior that virtually everyone praises. If mazda adds a bigger screen and digital dash, it will be close to the top for me. I like the design of the Tucson’s interior. I’m not sure how well it will work with all of those touch buttons though. The rogues interior surprised me. I think it’s the best looking of the bunch. I don’t really care for the bronco sports interior either. interior 1. Rogue 2. Tuscon 3. CX5 4. CRV 5. RAV4 6. Bronco Sport 7. Escape 8. Equinox exterior 1. Bronco sport 2. CX5 3. Rav4 4. Rogue 5. crv 6. tuscon 7. escape 8. equinox bronco sport is the best looking of the bunch on the exterior. 2 through 4 could really be switched in any order depending on trim. The rav4 trd off road and xse hybrid trims look really good, but the lower trims are kinda boring. The rogue looks good in pictures and has the boxier shape I like, but I’m not a fan of nissans design language so I’d have to see that new front in person. Crv is the appliance you’d expect it to be and puts it in the middle of the pack. If the Tuscon toned down all the edges, it would look a lot better. Like the crv, the escape has appliance looks. There’s nothing offensive about it, but there’s nothing that makes me want to buy it either. It also looks like it’s smiling which I don’t care for and it’s a bit dated on the exterior since it’s using design elements that have been around since 2013 on other ford’s. The equinox is just garbage all around.
