  1. These are some of the features that the Ranger lacks I would love to have on my Ranger Hybrid system Heated and Cooled Seats Heads up Display Built in air compressor Auto AWD Power running boards 2.4 kw Invertor Power tail gate Sunroof to name a few Imagine the 2.7 V6 with an Hybrid system and all that power Americans would jump all over it and Ford could not make them fast enough. That would be class leading and take some thunder out of Toyotas new Taco for sure. Yeah it may cost 60,000 but it would be better than the 80,000 plus for an F150 with all these features.
  2. Here is another picture and notice grab handles everywhere unlike the US Ranger which has only one on the one made here. Ford really cheapen out on us here in the states!
  3. Fords F150 is number 1 in selling name plate only if you separate the the GM twins which together sell more than Ford in trucks. The Ranger sales have been poor and bottom of the pack because lack of features and old tech and not class leading. Ford treats its American customers like step children where they known best and not the customer on anything other than a Mustang or F150. I like what Toyota did and offers the features that their big truck has and even more. The taco has way more features then the any Ranger. I will list them Hybrid system, heated and cooled seats, heads up display, built in air compressor, Auto AWD, power running boards, 2.4 kw invertor, power tail gate and sunroof to name a few. I know what you guys are going to say buy the F150, well not all of us want a huge truck and I for one don't like driving them and would rather a have a mid size truck with all the features of the big trucks. Would have been nice if Ford would have offered these things seeing that they offer them for the overseas customers. The Platinum Ranger is really the best looking truck in mid size class, but sadly its only for overseas customers and I would buy that truck if it was available here. The also offer a grab handle at every door opening, where in the states we get one on the passenger side front door. Ford also also has rear air vents on the overseas Ranger models, but here in the states that is not happening. What gives, Ford you must really hate us here in the states unless your buying a F150. Ford is not the number one selling brand that is Toyota because they listen better to their customers wants. Where Ford only wants to sell you one thing an F150. Ford use to be a full line company sold all your vehicle needs at one place. I think that will be their downfall because people like to go to one place for all their vehicle needs and Ford does not offer that anymore. Do not get me wrong I love Ford and been with them for over 3 Decades as a customer but it seem they really do not want me anymore unless I want an F150, Bronco or Mustang because everything else in their lineup is not class leading. All I want from Ford is to offer me the Platinum Ranger you already make for your overseas customer with the 2.7 V6 not detuned with the full 335 horsepower like in the Bronco. Do a search for the Platinum Ranger it is the best looking Mid size truck inside and out, come on Ford give us the options people like choices.
  4. Why is Ford treating its North American customers like step children. The Chinese Lincoln Aviator has a Upgraded interior and Upgrade electronics compared to the state side Aviator. While here in the states they only changed the colors and take the soft close doors from the reserve model. What really pissed me off was when Ford took the sensors out of the rear door handles on the ranger. My 2019 Ranger as long as I had my key fob in my pocket, all I had to do to open a door was touch the inside of the door handle and that door would unlock. My 2022 does not do that, if I grab the back door handles it does nothing. Who ever at Ford thought that was a good ideal needs to be fired. That pisses me off every time I forget that the 2022 no longer has the sensors in the rear door handles. Also the 12volt outlet covers on the dash now look like they came out of a JC Whitney catalog with fonts that do not even match the rest of the interior trim. The 2019 had much nicer covers with chrome trim that match the rest of the interior better . Even the Aviator they took off the self closing doors on the reserve models and now you have to buy a Black label to get that feature. The Corsair is not the top seller in its class so to take away options that put it above the others is not good at all. Ford keeps this up they will lose a 40+ year customer. For the first time I'm look at different brands. When you buy a newer vehicle to replace your older one with the same trim level you should not lose features you should gain. Why else do you buy new if not too upgrade. I guess with Ford now the price goes up and they take away features. https://fordauthority.com/2022/05/2022-lincoln-aviator-refreshed-for-china-with-new-tech-better-seats/
  5. Its coming in a few months and is already in Europe at 10,000 more then the top spec EV6 which puts it at 62,000 and it will be here is at the same time as 2023 Mach e. This EV makes the Mach E look weak with 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, top speed 166 mph and can do some drifting for fun. The Mach e cannot do anything that this EV does, Mustangs burn rubber and the Mach E can't, so how much is the Mach E a Mustang zero. Ford needs improve the Mach E it looks great but its performance is a let down with the GT's 5 second limit for full power.
  6. I think Ford is pricing themselves out of the market. The Mach E Gt performance is a joke with only 5 seconds of full power. They need to fix that issue like now because no one is going to buy one after it gets smoked by a KIA.. KIA's EV6 GT has 576 horsepower and will make a joke of the Mach E GT performance with almost 100 more horsepower and no time limit on max performance. The Kia EV6 GT smokes the Mach E Gt in performance and it is headed here soon at almost 20,000 less then the Mach E GT. The Mach E GT is a let down and Ford needs to fix that 5 second limit on power, its a bad joke on the customers. Ford charging almost 80,000 for the top spec Mach E is just crazy with less performance and slower charging then the Hyundai products like the GV60. There is competition out there now and Ford does not need just seat on the product and do nothing until it stops selling, like they have so many times. Even the Blazer SS EV at 65,995 will have more horsepower 557 and performance. I wish Ford would not have used the Mustang name on the Mach E it would not have been as hard knowing that a KIA EV will blow your doors off at a cheaper price and with faster charging. The name means something more than the Mach E offers now. This is coming from a person who has had many high performance Fords in my life please wake up Ford.
  7. I agree with GearheadGrrrl, Ford is the only full line auto company that does not make a Sedan for its customers. All Ford is interested in is max profit per vehicle instead of offering what their customers still want cars. Every manufacture makes a sedan for their customers except Ford. If the others can make a sedan for their customer why can't Ford. Tesla, Mercedes, Audi, Toyota, Honda, BMW, Genesis and the biggest car company in the world VW still make sedans. I like the feel of a sedan, the fuel economy and my next vehicle will be a sedan. This will be the first time for me to not buy a Ford, because Ford does not want to meet my needs. I would like to buy American and that leaves Cadillac, my farther will be turning over in his grave when that happens. I will still keep buying Ford trucks because I love them. But things can change I guess Ford could bring over that new Lincoln Zephyr from china and I would go for that. The tech in the Chinese Ford EVO's and the Lincoln Zephyr is off the charts why they do not have those products here is crazy. I guess North American Ford will just keep trucking from here on out. Suv's and Trucks have their place and so do sedans, Ford! Back to the Corvette if it its under 100,000 it will be the buy of the century as far as sports cars go. I'm a Ford guy but Ford is making it hard on me to be one going forward.
  8. I could care less if it won Lemans and do you even have a chance of getting a Ford GT nope. As a Ford customer the GT does really nothing for its regular customer because even if you could afford it Ford can say no. The Ford Gt is for people who drive Ferrari's and not the regular Ford customer because they put it out of reach. Do I love the GT yes and I agree it looks better than the Vette. But I have a 100 times better chance of owning the Z06 Vette then the Ford Gt and have a better sounding motor in the Vette. The Ford GT should have been available to Ford customers first not youtubers. By the way the Vette has won Lemans in its class too. Its only the old GT 1960's models that have won the top class at Lemans. All I'm saying is GM is offering a car that will probably out handle and out run the Ford GT that a normal person can get. I just wish Ford would do the same instead of just offer the GT to the 1 percent crowd.
  9. Problem is that the Corvette is allot cheaper than the Ford GT but probably now has better performance. Chevy one up Ford with a Flat plane crank V8 motor without turbo's or supercharger's, that make's 140 more horsepower than Ford's flat plane crank motor. The new Corvette's Z06 V8 flat plane crank DOHC motor makes 670 horsepower. Chevy hit it out of the park with this new Z06 and Ford has no answer. The Ford GT does not count because most of Ford's regular customers can not even think about owning one. Chevy did it wright on their supercar most anyone can get one, unlike Ford's supercar you cannot get one unless your some elite social personality. I love Ford but lately they are way to greedy. They keep taking away content on their vehicles and using cheap plastics everywhere in their vehicles interiors. Had a 2019 Ranger and traded for a 2021 Ranger and ford took away content on the same trim level. My 2019 had rear door sensors so when I touched the rear doors they unlocked when I had the keys. In my 2021 Ford Ranger they took the rear door sensors off, so ever time I reach for the rear doors they do not unlock like the 2019 did. Really dishearten that Ford keeps cheapening out and the Ranger is not the only thing they did it to. The Lincoln Aviator reserve model lost the soft close doors and now it is only available on the black label model. I have only bought Ford's all my life like my Farther did and been happy with them until know. They need to quit with just meeting customer min expectations and instead need to start exceeding their customer expectations. When I see them charging more and taking away useful features instead of adding from year to year that is just greed on their part.
  10. Sale satisfaction is allot different then Quality ratings. Its like marriage when the honeymoon is over all that luster is lost. Ford really needs to work on their Quality issues.
  11. The 2.0 is smoother than the 2.3 from my dealings with both. My 2.3 in my 2019 Ranger is not that smooth sometimes. The Corsair I drove with the 2.3 at idle was rough and 2.0 was smooth all around and I liked it more than the 2.3. The Bigger displacement 4's will be rough around the edges at time just because its hard to refine the bigger 4 cylinders. The 2.7 is the way to go in the Nautilus it fits the Lincoln better, much smoother in its power delivery. Fords V6 are just smooth and do well and you can tell Ford spent extra time to make them smooth runners. If the Ranger had the 2.7 that's what I would have bought, the 2.3 is just too 4 cylinder like in sound and feel. Plus the 2.7 is rated better on the highway then the 2.0 in the Nautilus.
  12. I have driven four Grand tours and they all had problems one had a trim part that had a broken clip and rattle. The other one had a real bad rattle in the rear seat area we could not trace it down. The one had a vibration that made the empty passenger seat shake real bad at 70mph. I want one, but unlike you everyone I have driven has way to many problems for me to buy. I have driven 12 so far only one came close and it had a bad wind whistle. Allot of the hoods are misaligned and one was a 2021. If you look at the gaps between the grill and the hood and the top of the headlights bezels some are way off.
  13. Probably some of it is because of the Chicago factory Quality. I have driven so many Lincoln Aviators and all of them had problems and not one of these was good enough for me to consider to take home. I really want a Aviator but if Ford cannot get there act together on the Explorer and Aviator Quality issues they wont have to worry about selling anything. That plants quality is just plain terrible no one vehicle is the same with body panel gaps that are just way off and never the same from one vehicle to the other. Each one you drive has a different problem or multiple problems. The rattles, noises and vibrations I witness in each Aviator is just unacceptable for a vehicle costing half the price they are selling these at. Please Ford get your act together so I can buy one of these great looking SUV's.
  14. It does if you don't want the thing plaster on the front of your car. On the models mention if your dealer orders a front bracket Ford will plaster it on the front for you, even in a state that does not require it. So if you do not want one on your front bumper when you order your Edge, Explorer, Nautilus, and Aviator make sure your dealer does not add the front bracket to your order. I know from experience in ordering a Lincoln Nautilus in my state that does not require a front plate. Not all Fords get the front bracket installed from the factory just the Models mentioned. I know this because I ordered an Aviator without and the vehicle came with no Front bracket at all in the vehicle or on it.
  15. The Ford Edge, Explorer, Nautilus , and Aviator if order with front plate gets it installed at the factory. I bet BriBoy your dealer did not order a front plate that's why it does not have one. Just look on the your vehicle sticker it will not be listed. I know because I had a Nautilus that was order for me and the factory installed the front plates bracket. The dealer did not install it and my state does not require it. I know this because my dealer never installs the front plates which I just hate. They had to order me another one because I did not want the front bracket on. So I ended up with an Aviator this time around. The Aviator did not come with one to install at all. These Models only, if you don't order a front bracket they don't come with one from the factory at all. My dealer found that out too so they quit ordering them with the front bracket and now they don't have ones on the front or in the vehicle either. I think its stupid that the Factory is doing this leave up to the customer. So if you order an Edge, Explorer, Nautilus and Aviator make sure the dealer does not order it with a front bracket because if they do it will be on the front when you receive it.
  16. silvrsvt WFT you smoking? The V-8 is a better compromise then any V6 ever made, its more balanced as an engine period and makes all the wright sounds. When Ferrari and Mclaren start using V6 in any of their top performance cars then I may agree with you but probably not. The V6 is a out balance design and cheaper to make and that is why Ford uses it. A Ecoboost V8 would eat a Ecoboost V6 any day of the week if Ford made one. That is why BMW and Mercedes top engines are not V6 but V8's heck they are dropping their V6's for smoother inline 6's. V6 engine will never be as pleasing to drive as a smooth V8 all thing being equal. So quit smoking your ecoboost tailpipes. I am glad Ford did not stick that ecoboost V6 in any of the Shelby's at least they have some smarts.
  17. Yeah the 3.5 V6 ecoboost will out perform Fords V8's because Ford not investing in their V8's. If Ford made an ecoboost V8 it would walk all over the V6 plain and simple. Its like Ford offers the V8 but rather you buy the V6. The V6 is a compromise engine made for packaging reasons. The V8 is just a smoother more balanced engine and makes more pleasing sounds when you roll the windows down. Ford could also do better by making the 3.5 ecoboost a in line 6, it would be smoother and better balanced. Just like the Germans are doing by getting rid of their V6's and going back to the inline 6's. Those inline 6's are so much smoother and sound so much better then the V6's. I know Fords all about profits and the ecoboost makes them some cash for sure. I dont hate V6's I just prefer the V8's and inline motors more. I have 3.0 in my MKZ awd black label and its a fine engine. But if I had a choice the V8 would be my choice especially for a any top performance model. Its like the new Mach1 Ford came out with, its just a parts car nothing new about it except the trim. The did not even touch the V8 in the mach1 it a carry over from another model which was a big let down. The only place I see Ford going the extra mile is in the Lincoln's and the new Bronco line, just hope they put more effort in their other line of vehicles.
  18. I think there is a demand for V8 high horsepower trucks. The TRX first edition sold out in 3 hours, so much for not having any demand for a high horsepower V8 Trucks. One thing Dodge does better than Ford is make enough product so their core hotrod customers can get the top performance product without being bent over by their dealers. Unlike Ford who is only interested in selling a few so their dealers can rape their loyal customers over the coals with there added ADM's. Seeing how many left over Raptors are on the lots with the 3.5 shows it not what the market really wants in a performance truck. The older Raptors never stayed on the lot like the 3.5 raptors. The 3.5 engine is a good engine but it still no V8 and makes for a great truck engine for normal usage, just not high performance. If Ford Ecoboosted a V8 I bet they could sell a few. That is why the top euro cars and trucks all have V8's such as the M5, E63.X5M just to name a few. If Ford offered a ecoboost V8 I would take it over the V6 any day. That's just me.
  19. I have a Nautilus on order too. After seeing a preproduction unit I may back out. The interior is a real let down its a MKX interior with no changes except phone charger and new LCD dash instruments thats it. Same cheap looking black plastic center console as the old MKX and I hope they have fix the hood fitment issue they had on the preproduction unit it was really bad. But after looking at the 2019 MKC hood and grill gaps on the dealer lot my hope maybe miss guided. They should have had the 3.0 in this vehicle because all of the vehicles its competes with have better options for engines like Mercedes GLC. Ford got out of the car business because it could not make a competitive product and there SUV's are really starting look like there non competitive cars. Sorry for the rant the Nautilus looks really nice on the outside but the interior is a big let down.
