  1. I just wondering why XT6? There is no comparison between the two and the Aviator beats the XT6 in every aspects. The Aviator should crush the XT6 sale, but why not? Who are buying the XT6 rather than the Aviator?
  2. Lincoln sold 8323 Aviator in 2019. Less than XT6. I've only seen 2 in action. 3. Really sorry for you. I kind of disappointed at Lincoln too. How can they screw up this one so bad? Quality is everything here.
  4. Great news and great vehicle. Congratulations! Did you notice the jump of transmission between the two motors, which was reported by a few reviewers.
  5. How comes a new vehicle with LED light not working? Did you notice it was not working to begin with or due to the condensation? Does Ford still have QC issue? I thought they should be resolved by now. Has anyone on the forum have the same issue here? Pick up the car 2020 lincoln aviator 2 days ago. I notice there is condensation inside the headlight and fog light units. First I thought condensation is normal since they power wash the car right before the pick up. Waited 2 days but condensation did not go away. Found out yesterday one of the fog light is not working.
  6. I understand the delay, retooling, tuning everything up, training the workers, QC, etc. But I don't understand why keeping the customers and even dealers in the dark. Allowing people to speculate, there will be no good reasons and will hurt Lincoln's reputation. I thought Ford is trying to use the Aviator to win customers from other bands to Lincoln. Keeping everyone guessing is not the right way to do it.
  7. That is right, paint is a lot softer than glasses. If there are many small holes in the glass, there should be a lot pits in the painted panels of the front portion of the Aviator. If not, you got a defective windshield.
  8. Sorry to hear that, you should ask Lincoln to buy it back. All the water damage to the electronics under the roof and elsewhere inside the car would be impossible to repair and will cause premature malfunction in the future.
  9. Well, hope you are right. I remembered reading about gangsters controls in that Chicago plant.
  10. Sorry to hear your issue. I can't imagine how this happens to any product, not a one a luxury brand. To say Made in China is an insult to China. It is Made by Union.

  12. Do anyone know where to find the sales data for the Aviator? Just wondering how Lincoln is doing on the Aviator. The other day saw my very first Aviator on the road. Very beautiful on the front and back, but so so on the side, particularly the two big pieces of black plastic panels. They are two big and will show badly on lighter colored bodies.
  13. Yet another review complaining about the not so smooth performance of the GT. Is it really worth the waiting and the money? The GT was the one I want to get, but now I'm confused. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a29676290/2020-lincoln-aviator-grand-touring-by-the-numbers/ Our second test vehicle delivered the expected performance. It managed a zero-to-60-mph run of 5.0 seconds flat and a quarter-mile time of 13.6 seconds at 103 mph. The second car performed as advertised and felt as if everything was operating properly, but that doesn't necessarily mean all is well. Throttle response varies widely depending on circumstances. Sometimes the Grand Touring's power overwhelms the vehicle with more thrust than anticipated. Under these circumstances, the Aviator PHEV squats on its softly suspended hind quarters like a dog about to break into a sprint. You can ride that nose-up/tail-down pitch for long enough to think: This is what it feels like when a boat comes up on plane. Yet, sometimes, a stab of the throttle results in less drama—too little drama, in fact. Combine that inconsistent power delivery with a springy, inconsistent brake pedal (thanks, regenerative brakes), and the driving performance is, well, inconsistent.
  14. It feels ironic to read this, isn't it? Lincoln is posed to fly, don't let the poor workmanship drag you down, get your act together, quick! There’s also the small matter of build quality. Lincoln consistently gets recognized among the most reliable car brands. Land Rover vehicles, on the other hand, are almost as legendary for their maintenance costs as their luxury and off-roading prowess. So not only will you save money at purchase time, you’ll likely keep saving money over the years of ownership. Range Rover’s branding is admittedly formidable. However, the Lincoln will give you that same timeless style and pampered feel for a little more than half the Range Rover’s price. No, buying an Aviator will not instantly turn you into Matthew McConaughey. But Range Rover ownership won’t exactly make you James Bond dashing off to Skyfall, either.
  15. Sorry to hear this. This is not acceptable for such a high profile SUV. Hopefully Lincoln can correct this soon.
  16. I have not seen one yet, down in Austin. But there seems more Lincoln overall on the street.
  17. how about this, then, The Aviator is still very much a gilded Ford. Crucially, the visible and tangible similarities are few and insignificant enough not to matter.
  18. How about this? Lincoln says that they’ve positioned the Aviator to go head to head with Audi’s Q7, the Cadillac XT6, and Volvo’s XC90 all of them on the bigger side of the mid-size luxury spectrum and all of them with three rows. And I can confidently say that the Aviator holds its own against them. In fact given its distinctive style, luxury-first demeanor, and a plethora of advanced technology, it does more than compete. It stands out. https://www.wheels.ca/car-reviews/first-drive-2020-lincoln-aviator/
  19. Does Start/Stop also works in the GT? It seems counter productive in the GT, when stops, the engine can recharge the battery. So why shut it off?
  20. By not emphasis quality from the beginning, Ford/Lincoln shot themselves on the feet. Don't know how long this going to last. Hopefully they can be resolved before I buy next year. I bought one of the very first productions of Infiniti JX 35, it has nearly 100K now and has 0 quality issue. The Explorer was on the top of my list then but was dropped due to abundant complains on quality issues on many forums.
  21. https://www.autoblog.com/2019/09/16/2020-ford-explorer-lincoln-aviator-quality-control-issues/ Getting more and more bad publicity. This is a disaster.
