  1. V nice. Losing the shipping tires helps so much. What size are the new M/Ts? Which rear end?
  2. FWIW I did a bunch of research a couple months ago. Some had issues with how many bearings. Based on my history with my retrax covers, I would beleive that. But none of this first hand...
  3. Well that's why I noted heavier bumper was likely part of that and said even if its 20 miles... That increased turbulence at 77 mph down the interstate and i believe it would be a tangible difference. Driving from farm to town doing 55 with start and stops and likely won't notice. Luckily we all get to choose what's important to us. I'm in minority where I think a non tremor looks better better with deep valence. I know I didn't order a 7.3 w 4.30s for stellar mpg. But I don't want to make it worse either. ?
  4. Yup. 100% And for me, no more or less so than any other post including yours. But ask yourself why did Ford make the valence that deep. Just for fun?
  5. Guy on another forum went from factory to tremor unit he's down @ 60-70 miles per full tank. He also has heavier bumper but at today's gas prices even if its 20 miles I'll run factory in summer. I dont mind the way they look.
  6. When mine arrives I'm going 2wd for winter and factory for summer (mpg) Hard snow drifts aren't kind to these particular std 4wd units.
  7. I beleive the bakflip mx4 works for this. At least that's what a buddy just told me. He folds it up until front panel. I've had a couple retrax. I love them the first @ 5 years then I start to have issues but I'm keep in mind I'm on gravel roads. And last time retrax wasn't so dang pricey.
  8. Correct. And smoked lamps Lariat only too. Smoked and led
  9. I've read on numerous forums that size works on 21+ with no level required.
  10. I have a bud used to run a gm 2500 w 6.0L on his annual summer rv trip. He would achieve better mpg with his, but he ran a TT not a 5er. Plus this was a 800+ mile trip not a wknd run. For him it made sense. Most it would not. I guess when I was a kid we had one on the station wagon too but quite a gap from SW to top of the TT.
  11. All true and I look at power levels of trucks mostly diesels from mid 90s till now. First PS in 94 was 210 hp 425 ft-lb tq. Debut duramax 235/500 Whats today's ps 475/1050. Talking gassers last 460 was 245/400. Popular gm heavy half with the thirsty 6.0L was 300/360. Today's 7.3 =430/475 and 6 more gears. Hook up a new diesel to a rv and it will pull it windy, don't matter.
  12. The news I'm reading re new 24 stang, maybe that mean sounding V8 is a 6.8L not a coyote? ?
  13. I think you can go LT296/65R20 with no rubbing.
  14. Yah, same for power seat, power windows, etc. One real issue I see is hard snow drifts at speed. Not a Cali problem.
  15. If only someone thought of ab auto deploying air dam. Drops at speed to assist with mpg. Out of the way at low speed, or rough terrain. Hmmm. ?
  16. Someone keeps fishing. Must have limited out by now.
  17. Ford setting up Bronco specific stores for a niche vehicle? Hmmm
  18. Are those flares similar to the bushwacker? Rubber seal between flare and paint?
  19. Not unless it has the tremor pkg. Should have the long one.
  20. There are 3. 2wd, 4wd and tremor. 2wd lower to ground so can be shorter. Tremor shorter due to off road pkging.
  21. Glad I didn't wait any longer and have a 7.3L coming...
  22. This has been hammered to death but based on 6.X intended use (F150/Mustang) it will have aluminum block which would never be used in a SD.
  23. BW work fine. Some have issue with the barely visible rubber type seal that sticks out a bit. Obviously not noticeable w black. I'm having same debate myself. Likely going w Ford units. Ill have them painted and added at bodyshop. No way I'm letting gravel chew up the bare fenders. One note if you go outside of BW or Ford it will be tough to find a mounded type mud guard. If you flap type will be easier. Not sure if that helped.
