  1. A friend told me that there is a wheel option for the F-150 that is more profitable than a focus or fiesta was.
  2. I’m guessing it has something to do with this https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/future-cars/a33265274/mustang-mach-e-drift-carwhat-s-the-deal/
  3. The F-150 reveal was a totally different ballgame too. A lot of the changes to the F-150 are things you won’t notice until you’re actually in the thing. Bronco is a resurrection of a nameplate that hasn’t existed in 25 years, Ford will do it justice.
  4. I just want to know about the rotopax mount. Is it multiple, or one, or can you choose? This leak, even though it is a bit annoying, if anything has made me more excited. I want to see how the awning and fridge works!!!!
  5. My understanding is that this report is from a while back and it’s just a projection. I don’t necessarily buy it yet, my understanding is Ford is focused on making the next-gen ranger badass.
  6. That’s pretty disingenuous... the “Jeep” (CJ and Willy’s) eventually became the wrangler but the DNA still carried over heavily. If anything more so than the Bronco, for better or worse.
  7. Controversial opinion incoming: Every mustang from 1973-2014 sucked.
  8. Ford took a gamble with Hackett but I think it’s going to pay off big in the long run. They had to change, focusing on more fiestas and focuses was going to get them killed. Focusing on making fuel efficient big vehicles that last? People will pay a premium for that. With how good cars have gotten just focusing on volume won’t cut it anymore, cars just last too long. You gotta profit on that initial sale and hope that customer comes back down the line because they had a great experience. Example: what percent of raptors have an older raptor being traded in for a newer one? I’d bet a HUGE percent. Ford wants more of that.
  9. The axle on that mule is pretty much the opposite of an IRS lol
  10. I have a source at Ford that will drop little bread crumbs here and there... this is not related to the Bronco except in name *hint hint*. All I will say is that even though it’s not Bronco related it shows Ford’s head is in the right place. It is more related to F-150... but I can’t talk about that. Biggest hint is the rear axle.
  11. Holy shit that’s a big engine. Finally ford has listened. None of this Ecoboost crap just gimme a V8 and an AM radio
  12. Take that doc with a grain of salt. I have a feeling Ford has some tricks up their sleeve with the “swing gate”
  13. Not to advertise another forum, but there is a 32 page discussion on the Bronco6G forum that actually gets very in depth. I’d recommend anybody who wants to truly discuss it and learn about the differences at least read through the thread.
  14. I just think it’s funny that most of the doubters think Ford’s solution was to keep making sedans. When was the last time Ford generated a significant amount of profit from a sedan?
  15. I’m super excited to see the new F-150 along with the Bronc. I’m sure it’ll be pretty iterative from the current gen but the new raptor especially should be pretty cool. Hopefully they have it for the first MY unlike the 2017 raptor
  16. I like Farley. I think this is only a good thing. Ford said 2-3 years ago that these changes were going to hurt, I just think people underestimated just how much. I think they’re going to benefit greatly in the next 2-3 years.
  17. so IIRC they were only going to build like 500 GT’s is that no longer the case?
  18. Someone on the JL wrangler forums hinted embargoes end at midnight. My guess is we see the new F-150 but who knows.
  19. Ford is getting wrecked now for sure but it’s better to rip off the bandaid than let it fester and get infected.
  20. Did you write this? “There needs to be a automotive company made just for men. Real men, a simple man. No touch screen this and that, I want solid axles, V8s, give me knobs on my dash board and cables on my vents, no seat belt and tire pressure dingy with illumination. A windshield that doesnt stretch to the front of the hood. Dont need remote start because we are MEN, and we start our wifes car while we are out there so we can get laid that night. Give me lights that I can buy from a Oriellys shelf, a manual transmission because these computer driven automatics never know what gear they want, give me a cable throttle because no one likes hesitation when they are in a mud hole. We MEN dont need traction control, we have been controling traction since we were driving Power Wheels, and if a 3 yr old can get traction on wet grass with plastic tires then we MEN can too. And finally the only reason I want a vanity mirror is to make sure I dont have boogers in my nose.”
  21. https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2020/01/30/ford-official-vehicle-of-king-of-hammers-ultra4-extreme-off-road-racing.html Ford now the official vehicle of KOH... will we see a Bronco at KOH??
