  2. Yeah, my way of adding something substantial to the conversation instead of saying I don't know
  3. Glad to see a Bronco pickup idea make it this far in consideration. I don't know about that honestly. I doubt a bigger Bronco could fit at the Ranger-Bronco facility. Could it potentially work at an F-150 plant? I don't know. Or, could it be that they move the Super Duty elsewhere and make solely big Broncos, Expeditions, and Navigators there? I don't know, but I think I remember seeing the basics of the last idea on here somewhere. Long way of saying I do not know. Sorry! I like that name a lot! I think it would be a good fit for a potential bigger Bronco. The only counter to it is I feel that Ford would like to keep the Excursion name separate on the off chance the Excursion returns. Perhaps an Excursion would be (relatively) easy to make with many common parts for Ford.
  4. I second this. I'd like to see a three-row Bronco in some form. Whether on the current platform or maybe even F-150 platform (barring capacity issues), I think it would be a great addition. The only thing I would add is I would prefer it retain a solid axle at the rear.

  14. I did forget the new Ranger's hybrid option. I guess overseas, there could be a potential 2.7L Ecoboost for the Everest/Ranger in coming years in addition to that. I have a feeling a fixed-roof off-roader could have a decent market here in the U.S. too, though I could be wrong.
  15. I wonder if an American manufacturer would try to field a competitor to the 4runner/GX, (both three-row midsize off-road bof suvs at their most basic). It seems like a segment that could grow with the Wrangler and Bronco being the more off-road focused offerings. An Everest or overseas Trailblazer could be an interesting offering. An Everest with even a Ecoboost 2.3L could be a torque-y little offering. If an Everest were to be offered here, would it have to be manufactured here to avoid the Chicken Tax? Just my random two cents, but you never know...
  16. Cool. Thank you for the pics. I guess that the F-150 Raptor is coming soon, based on many recent leaks, lack of cladding on testing trucks, etc. Is it still a 2021 model year?
  17. Imo, V-8 fans have a great amount of options in the near future with the F-150, not considering prices of course. 5.0, the Supercharged 5.2 from the GT500, and the 6.8 in like two years iirc. Of course the last two are only rumors currently, but pretty credible in my observation.
  18. I thought about that, but I just do not see Ford leaving the 3.5L EB as a top engine because of how much time and effort they have spent with it over the past decade. But, I don't know for sure of course.
  19. Forgot about that when writing that post. Yeah, the Coyote is staying. And the F-150 could have a bunch of V-8 engine options.
  20. One big question in my mind: What happens to the Coyote? I picture the 6.8 being a more exclusive engine only in the Shelbies or Raptors, not replacing the 5.0 in the GT. I could see the F-150 losing the 5.0, but is there really enough volume to produce it solely for the Mustang? Interesting nonetheless...
  21. https://carbuzz.com/news/gm-hints-at-a-chevrolet-suburban-hd What do you think? Could it cause a stronger case for an Excursion? I want to hear what everyone thinks on this.

  24. That's interesting. I never knew that there subsequent information came out on it. Thank you both for your input.
  25. While I don't think that a fullsize Bronco is in the cards right now, I'd have to imagine that Ford would at least consider making one because of how much attention the Bronco has gotten and the desire to make many Bronco options. I would assume sales of the regular Bronco family would have to be great. But, if SUVs and off-roading continue picking up steam, I say why not? (Barring production limitations, etc.). I'd love a big Bronco option! But the only thing I recall testing that could possibly be related was the single-cab Raptor... did we ever figure out what that was for?
