  1. Hi Cyberdman, hope you had a great long weekend. Can you please provide an update on 1FT7W2BN4LEE36830?
  2. I don't think the GVWR can ever be changed, unless it is a Cab&Chassis that the upfitter can tag.
  3. Hi Cyberdman - Can you please provide me status on 1FT7W2BN4LEE36830? Thank you and have a great weekend!
  4. I have both magmount CB and magmount 2m Ham antennae. Typically only use them on longer trips, so would prefer not to make too permanent of a solution.
  5. Will it work when vertical? If there is any play in the 7 to 22" capability, will it fit here? You might try temporarily taping it in place to see what happens.
  6. Hi all - I've owned a few Ford pickups before, but finally got around to ordering a new 2020 F250 on July 1st. It's time to replace the good ol' '94 Suburban with something a little more useful. I have a few acres here as well as property in Oregon and New Mexico, and will need a pickup for haulin' and towin'. And hopefully in a few years, for pulling an Airstream or other RV to see the grandkid(s). Dealer says 8 to 12 weeks to build and ship. What I'm (calmly, patiently) waiting for: 2020 Ford F250 Lariat Trim Agate Black with Black interior Crew Cab, Long Bed 7.3L Gas engine 4x4 3.55 Rear axle ration Ultimate package (to get vented seats and optional Adaptive Cruise) Camper package, 5th wheel prep package Skid plates (will add Hill Descent later) Adaptive Cruise Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera (more for the 360 cameras than the trailer backup feature, but I may like it) Extended running boards (to reach into the front of the bed) Windshield wiper de-icer/Rain sense Wipers/Heated steering wheel (for Seattle weather) Wheel well liners front and rear Mud flaps front and rear 397 Amp Alternator with Dual batteries (to handle on-board air compressor, winch, trailer charging, etc) Upfitter switches (to control on-board air compressor, winch, trailer charging, etc) Garage door opener
  7. Does this engine shutoff feature exist on the new Super Duty trucks? On most of them you can enable an "elevated idle control" so you can leave them running in idle to power things like compressors, hydraulic pumps, or other industrial equipment. And many do come with keyless entry now.
  8. I'll second this. For those with toppers or certain camper shells, this would be very useful for passing stuff through or for the dogs to climb back and forth etc.
  9. Waiting for my F250 as well. I went back to the dealer and added the Camper Package to the order to get the upgraded springs, aux spring, and rear sway bar. I suppose there are lots of variables here -- do you have a WD hitch? Bumper pull? Stuff in the bed besides?
  10. Lin, do you have that list somewhere? I have heard of other things too like yaw sensor for the UTCC package, and TPMS valves for the optional trailer TPMS (six for the new 2020s)
  11. I think you could weld or bolt a flat plate on the tongue just aft of the brake box, sticking out the side far enough for the camera to see the sticker. I don't have my truck yet (still to be built) but from watching the Ford video, it seems you can specify the distance and side offset when you are setting up.
  12. How fast are the oscillations? Like similar to trailer sway or faster? Has anyone seen correlation to any suspension packages (ie camper) or tire type (A/S vs A/T) or size?
  13. Here in Seattle we can't really get drywall at the lumberyard and leave it hanging out the back without it getting wet! The funny thing is that I once went to Home Depot in my Toyota Prius, grabbed a couple 10 foot 2x4s, fit them in the car and completely closed the hatch, while the guy next to me with a 6.5' (commuter size) bed was trying to figure out how to stick some 8 footers out the side window of his topper!
  14. I ordered a new F250 earlier this month. I wanted the adaptive cruise control, so I had to choose a Lariat Ultimate. On the Build&Price page, when you add Adaptive Cruise, the following popup appears: Can someone describe to me what the difference is between "Collision Warning with Brake Support" that I'll be getting, and the "Pre-collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Forward Collision Warning" that I'm losing? Will both slam on the brakes if someone is in front of me? Do they both have the flashing HeadsUpDisplay warning? Does the Collision Warning not automatically assist in a collision? One concern I have is switching between vehicles, as my Toyotas have the adaptive cruise that will bring the car to a complete stop, and has collision warning that will slam on the brakes fully when it detects a stopped car in front. I don't want to have to try to remember which car I'm in when in an emergency situation!
  15. I don't have my truck yet, but I am considering double sticking a chunk o' steel under (over?) the headliner for the magmount to adhere to through the roof. I can do that without buying anything. If that won't work, I'll have to figure out something else...
  16. On order: 2020 Ford F250 Lariat Ultimate CCLB 7.3L Gas 4x4 Black (July 1, 2020) 2002 Ford Ranger XLT extended cab 4 cylinder, 5 speed, 2 wheel drive, Green 1983 Ford F250 4x4 4-on-the-floor, Red (inherited) 1973 Ford F250 Bluish under the rust (bought for a couple hundred bucks just to move houses!)
  17. It was Toyota that had the lawsuit due to deaths allegedly from floor mats. There are a ton of warnings on the new Toyota mats, and the maintenance charts all list it on every oil change, and dealers all add a line to the service reports. I've never had issues with factory floor mats of any vehicle, but have some some aftermarket floor mats slide around dangerously. I too was wondering about "carpet delete" on the XLT and Lariat versus "premium vinyl" on the Platinum, and would like a definitive answer. I thought the pegs were on all trim levels. It may be that the only difference is marketing terminology and how rare the request is for that trim level. I can't imagine there is too much parts+labor cost difference to Ford between vinyl and carpet that are installed at the factory. It would be good to see them side by side at a dealership, or at least have a knowledgeable dealer inform us. We hemmed and hawed on whether we wanted carpet or carpet delete on the Lariat we just ordered. We have carpet on our '94 Suburban and it has held up reasonable well, but stained in a few spots. I removed it totally last year to deep clean it which was a real pain of course. In the end, we decided on carpet in the Lariat for the noise reduction and potential resale value, and plan to get really nice all weather floor mats.
  18. I've heard that some e-track accessories will work.
  19. One of the reasons we just ordered a Ford Super Duty instead of another Chevy was the lower height. My wife and daughter found the Ford to have more visibility and be easier to get into.
  20. I just ordered a CCLB. This truck will be used for hauling plywood/lumber and rocks, and then pulling a travel trailer when we retire.
