  1. Lariat trim trucks may be waiting (commodity hold) on the Black Appearance package. You'll have to check since my focus is limited to XLT stuff.
  2. I'll just wait two months and keep my money. Here again, Ford robbed the XLT for parts to build high end trucks. Now I know there are a few, but not many people want to spend $90,000 on an off road truck to drive to deer camp through heavy brush, sitting on leather seats with dual climate control. First come first serve would have worked better, IMHO.
  3. Yes. Robbing Peter's XLT to build Paul's high trim truck. We "lesser customers" who have ordered "lesser trucks" are being treated in a lesser manner by Ford managers. Instead of first come first serve... And what really rubs the salt in, many people buying high trim trucks where UTT/PTBA is standard don't even want the option.
  4. Trying to figure out scheduling notes: Case 1: I noticed the comments about inflatable seat belts in certain models appeared in several weeks running of scheduling notes. From that I assume the issue is on going. (Has no bearing on my order, just trying to learn the system) Case 2: I noticed the XLT vs UTT/PTBA (53R, 53C packages) comments appeared for a while and are now not in the latest scheduling notes that I have seen. From that, is it safe to assume the issue has been resolved? Or will Ford make a specific statement when the issue is resolved? (Does have a bearing on my order!) If the XLT vs UTT/PTBA (53R, 53C packages) issue is ongoing, but not listed in scheduling notes, how will I know when it clears?
  5. Does anyone know if the above F-250 vs 53Q/53R hold has been lifted? Super Duty will resume scheduling again this week.
  6. Ordered 4/7. Confirmation email same day. Then.... nothing.
  7. That's what the order guide states, if car is sold in a state requiring a front plate you get the bracket for free. Otherwise not. Besides, I have removed several and they come off easy without damage to the bumper. Front bracket is not required in Georgia, but my dealer asked if I want one at no charge. I said "sure, I'll put a ham radio plate there."
  8. OK be careful. This sticker only describes the capabilities of the hitch assembly which by design always exceeds what the truck can do. Which is why hitches seldom fail. For example, I currently pull an 8,000 pound 5th wheel with an F-150, but my hitch is rated at 18,000 pounds. My truck certainly wont pull that. Only the door jamb stickers will tell you what the truck itself can do, haven taken into consideration engine, springs, axle, tires and all the rest.
  9. I ordered an F-250 XLT April 7. No build date, no VIN, no adaptive steering. Of course with the plants all closed the point is sort of moot anyway, right? Just waiting it out.
  10. As I recall there is a commodity issue with F250 Tremor trucks but I thought it was limited to XLT trim. Perhaps now it has spread, as the Tremor does have package specific parts. As this was on a Tremor form, perhaps the delays will be limited to that package optioned trucks. I just can't see all Super Duty trucks being pushed to September build dates. I don't think Ford will let KTP sit still that long. But then they may not have a choice.
  11. Called Ford Marketing and my sales guy this morning. I asked the Marketing guy if he could confirm my order satisfied COVP requirements, no he could not, and my truck is still "clean, unscheduled" Marketing guy suggested I place another order for the same truck... which in my mind would accomplish nothing except to be moved to the back of the line. Called my sales guy and asked him just to make sure all the i's are dotted, t's crossed and punctuation correct and be sure I am in the COVP. He was in a rush to morning sales meeting, so later I got an email that said: We were able to confirm that your order was Approved for the Customer Verification Program. He also stated ALL of their orders are placed in COVP. He also stated a duplicate order would move me to the back of the line. They have 2 cars in new inventory. A truck was coming today with 8 vehicles and ALL of them are already sold. He stated allocation has NO impact on retail orders, only stock, retail orders are taken as quickly as Ford has the parts and factory time to build them. So all is good on the dealer end. Just waiting on Ford to collect all the parts and remove the commodity issue on the XLTs with UTT/PTBA. So I have nothing to worry about. I just have to wait it out. Ordered 7 April. No VIN, no build date.
  12. Mr. Capades... When this stuff clears I'm sure you'll let us know... but make a big deal of it so I'll be sure to see it... 2022MY Super Duty Until further notice, XLT Super Duty orders with the following configurations will not be selected for scheduling: XLT series with the Tremor Package (17Y) XLT series with the Trailer Tow High Capacity with UTT & PTBA option (53Q) XLT series with the Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera option (53R) I'm certain no one has a clue how long this will go on. But it is comforting on some level to know why my truck isn't scheduled. And thanks for keeping us informed.
  13. Back some time ago when I first got into RVing, I read the sticker on the hitch only describes the hitch assembly rating, not the rating of the truck. Very similar to a 27,000# 5th wheel hitch installed on a truck rated for 22,000#. When the smoke clears, whatever is left of the trailer will still be firmly attached to the remains of the truck.
  14. Well, you're off to a good start! Soon you'll be an old timer like some of us Super Duty people....
  15. Oh yeah, that whole Tremor thing is on hold, too. Wasn't paying attention because I don't have the Tremor package and the discussion was about SYNC 3 and SYNC 4. Sorry for any confusion because of that omission. Interesting that you can get a Lariat Tremor but not an XLT. Go figure.
  16. OK now remember the XLT issue is not with SYNC 3. The issue is with UTT and PTBA camera options that display via the 8in center screen. If your XLT has SYNC 3 ( and it does) but no fancy cameras then you should be OK. For now. This SYNC 4 issue is separate/unrelated issue and I still can't find the original post in scheduling notes
  17. I looked in scheduling notes and can't find anything in regard to SYNC 4. But I'm not as sharp as I used to be.
  18. So I have a priority of 14, with one truck ahead of me at my dealer. He has allocation, but no trucks were selected on 6/10 or 6/17. I e-mailed him Friday morning and asked if anything had moved. his reply was "Not yet, but it looks like the one before you is going to be scheduled soon." How would he know a vehicle would be scheduled soon, and how would he know if mine is going to be scheduled soon? Would vehicle visibility give him some sort of previewed status? Or does this have anything to do with Ford easing allocation to get all the retail orders in? When can we start seeing an impact in the changing of allocation rules? Thanks you Mr Capades for your assistance with all of this.
  19. My priority code is #14. I ordered a fairly basic 2WD XLT super duty on 7 April. There were 2 trucks ahead of me. Since MY2022 scheduling began 6/3 only one of the trucks ahead of me has been scheduled. Dealer says they were surprised last 2 weeks (6/10 and 6/17) when no trucks were scheduled even though they have allocation. Further I understand from reading here allocations have been lifted/expanded for all retail orders. And I also see trucks much more feature rich than mine, ordered 6 weeks later, are getting scheduled and VINs I can only scratch my head and wonder in frustration what's up with that?
  20. I ordered a rather basic 2wd XLT on 7 April and I am still waiting for a VIN and build date. Starting to feel like I'm back in Jr. High Phys Ed, waiting to be the last one chosen for what ever team sport we were doing that day.
  21. The author of the article is correct. I used to work in a factory that made transmitters for broadcast radio stations. Our smaller 5KW and down units sold very well. I found out that 2/3 of all radio stations in the US are mom and pop owned low wattage "sundowner" stations that have local news and county/western music. You'll need a whip antenna beyond the city limits to hear them.
  22. I guess every dealer is different. Perhaps yours is holding off on charging your card until "something" happens...maybe even delivery. My dealer took my debt card and pulled the $1000 deposit out of my account on the spot. Got the confirmation email that evening. This is an A/Z plan on 7 April for a MY22, for what that's worth. My deposit shows on the deal work sheet. If your order isn't confirmed by now I'd be asking questions of the salesman.
  23. My understanding is once you have a VIN # and a build date the priority code is irrelevant. The priority code is how the dealer tells Ford what sequence to take their orders in. Once the order is scheduled, the dealers priority code has served its purpose, so to speak, and has no other value.
  24. Ford isn't going to change the puck system from 21 to 22 MY. As for the F350 hitch bracket recall that only effected 1700 trucks. Owners got notices. Apparently the bracket on the left side was improperly heated during the forming process and is prone to cracking. There is nothing wrong with the puck system from an engineering stand point and no changes are being made. Relax.
  25. I'm wondering if any rebates can be stacked with A/Z plans?
