  1. I would be concerned. While I didn't get a VIN or a date, they did show me as still "clean unscheduled" so my order was visible.
  2. I called the Ford Marketing number about 15 minutes ago. I got through to a real person very quickly. My order date was 07 April 21 and I got the order confirmation email that afternoon. My priority code is 14, there are 2 trucks ahead of me at my dealer. Todays call did not get me a VIN or a schedule date. The agent took my info and said I would get an email from his computers as soon as VIN and schedule were available. He suggested it could be as much as 20 days but hinted as if it would be much sooner but he is instructed to say "20 days" You guys that are getting VINs let us know your order dates and codes. Give us all some hope and a clue. 1. Be very nice and friendly to these people. They are there to help. 2. I trust I will get an email from him. I will stay off the phone to allow others to get through. I will likely not call again.
  3. Right now the all season 18 inch 2WD tires are usually Continentals. My 2wd 2022 F-250 will likely come with those. I read online people like the ride and overall quality but complain of lack of traction on surfaces such as wet grass. I'm a big Michelin fan. Perhaps there will be a shortage of Continentals and Michelin will step in? I guess I'll find out...
  4. Or stuck at the racetrack since that too, is considered "off site"
  5. Not knowing for sure, but it looks like your (and some other guys) truck is built and could be shipped soon. Did you order something like a bed liner that gets installed by a contractor and not Ford? It could be out having that done. In any case, it looks like the truck is on the way.
  6. Always wondered what constitutes a "defect"?? Is a wire harness not plugged into the MAF sensor a defect, or is a defect so severe the unit cannot be salvaged? Also wondered how long they usually take to get 5 days defect free. 2 weeks? Longer?
  7. RE: price increases and retail order scheduling. The build-a-truck tool puts the MSRP for the MY2021 version of my truck at $53,860 When we built the truck at the dealer on April 7 the MY2022 version MSRP was $54,190 for a difference of $330 The truck is an XLT 2wd SC LB 7.3 3.55 elocker set up for 5th wheel towing. I didn't notice much of a difference in option prices. Aside from some paint changes and taking away the tan interior option ? I noted no changes for the XL, STX or XLT trim levels. The dealer has locked in the price of the truck, the value of my trade and all plan discounts I am entitled to. The deal is fixed at an agreed price. Now just counting the days. I'm guessing Labor day. Should be among the first MY2022 built as it is a retail order fairly soon after the MY2022 order bank opened.
  8. There are two plants in Louisville. One is the Louisville Assembly Plant that builds the Escape and the Corsair. 4000+ workers. The other is the Kentucky Truck Plant, they build Super Duty, and employ about 8600+ workers. Rumor has it the LAP people will assist KTP with chip/module installations at the racetrack while the LAP plant is idle.
  9. I took a Covid Early Retirement from a major airline. Have a good idea what they're going though and no it's not a lot of fun.
  10. But no news (or new news) about shutting down Kentucky Truck Plant? Another article said some of the LAP folks were going to the race track to finish up the trucks stored there.
  11. It may be meaningless anyway in todays circumstance. The whole line gets moved back, so being in the front of the line is somewhat irrelevant.
  12. If Mr. Capades could confirm or deny a rumor: I read on another forum: if a vehicle is an "A Plan" it automatically gets higher priority than other orders and is likely to be built first ahead of other orders. Is this true? Does "A Plan" get you ahead in the line?
  13. Well, bummer. When I ordered on 4/7 my cheery, optimistic salesman said "End of July!" and I smiled and said "Labor Day". He may have meant build date but I was talking delivery. I made myself a promise not to worry unless it went past mid-September. Trying to stick to it. Christmas is still another day closer. Remain encouraged, brethren.
  14. Looking at Mr. Capades last Production Week Scheduling Information for next week I noticed a couple of things. During the week of 5/17 (next week as I type) production was being scheduled for the week of 5/31 for all these products: 2021 Edge, Escape, Nautilus and Corsair and that's only 2 weeks out. So scheduling can be done in as little as 2 weeks. 2021 Brocos, Ecosports, Mustangs and Explorers 7/5 with F150s coming in 7/13. The more popular the product, the longer the lead. There is no mention of 2021 F250. All that scheduling must be complete, then, Ford knows (or should!) the last day of production 2022 F250 scheduling is TBD, meaning we'll get to it soon but not this week The proposed start of production for 2022 F250 is still June 24 as far as we know. Ford hasn't moved it. So I figure scheduling for the F250 can begin as late as week of 5/31 or even 6/7 and production can still start on 6/24 because scheduling can run 2 to 5 weeks normally. (or longer, of course) And since we all are waiting on retail orders, which will be prioritized over stock and most fleet, with any luck and some supply chain improvements, week of July 6th might show some new trucks headed to us. It all depends on if the 6/24 start date holds. With scheduling complete you'd think they'd have moved it by now if they needed to. Brethren, be encouraged.
  15. I read on TFE forum about a bracket kit someone makes to slide the seat bottom forward just a bit. The original purpose is to put big speakers back there but it results in a slight seat back recline and losing a little knee room. And it's still fixed, not adjustable.
  16. I could go there. We have ordered a 2wd "road queen" F250 5th wheel puller. one of several reasons to go 2wd was lower ride height. To have it sit 2" lower would be the same bed height as or F150, and since a lot of RV applications involve older folks then getting in and out of the truck would be a little easier.
  17. We feel like a bunch of little kids who live in a house with no calendars, all looking forward to Christmas Day. Whenever that is...
  18. I wish Ford had not removed the tan (medium camel?) interior option for the F250 XLT trim level. I'm paying more than my first home cost for this truck and I have only one color to choose from? A lifeless gray that has to it's advantage it doesn't show dirt. To paraphrase Henry Ford, "They can have any color they want as long as it's that boring gray color." The camel was genuinely pretty when matched against certain exterior colors. And now it's gone. And the self-dimming electronic rear-view mirror that came in on my 2007 F150 XLT is not available in XLT trim? On my wish list, give me back the tan interior and my mirror I liked. It's the least you could do for $54,150 dollars.
  19. On another forum a poster reported "I work at (given plant) and we were at work today!" is the sort of information I am fishing for. But I do understand your position.
  20. Paraphrasing an email I got from my dealer today. I asked him to estimate or guess at a production date for a truck I ordered 1st week of April "... our inventory manager ... said they are building 2021's through the end of (May), so it will be (June) before they start scheduling the 2022's." No problem with that part, but... "We were told the Kentucky plant, which was running 3 shifts a day, is going to one shift a day and closing 1 week each month through the end of the year." There are conflicting reports in media and various forums and from "insiders" as to when and how long various truck production plants are or are not going to be operating. It would be helpful if some folks who actually have first hand knowledge of what's happening at the plants to let us know what's going on.
  21. When I ordered on 6 April my dealer asked for $1000 down. I really don't blame him as what I ordered is something of a unicorn, 2wd, super cab, 8ft bed, which is not the standard fare you see on dealer lots and that everyone else seems to want. And then there is the unusual wait time, part shortage and all that going on. He just wants to be sure I don't get tired of waiting and will be there when it arrives. Our agreed on price is protected and it's a really good deal, so I didn't mind. But $3000? I think not. That would raise a red flag.
  22. As far as you know, the Job #1 MY2022 start date of 6/24 hasn't changed?
  23. Are we still looking for KTP production to begin scheduling on 5/13 or is that going to slip? 2022 KTP production still on track to begin June 24? Anxious, sweaty palmed future owners want to know....
