  1. I think you’ll just get some nice induction noise, which isn’t a bad thing. Been awhile since a cai has done much afaik.
  2. It seems like it’s just in and out of availability. Earlier this week, they scheduled a good amount of trucks and then it seems like after all those notifications went out they posted notes regarding commodity shortages in AS, bedliner, fifth wheel prep etc. I’d waited since July, but it will have been worth it.
  3. If I could get the platinum with the blackout package I would have considered it, that was my primary hangup. Otherwise I didn’t wanna spend the scratch on the seats. I’m sure they’re nice, but not 3000 dollars plus compromising on what I really wanted nice.
  4. I got an e-mail from Ford saying my F-250 Lariat Ultimate Tremor Blackout with Adaptive Steering was scheduled today for a build week of 24jan22. Shortly afterwards Ice posted scheduling notes putting Adaptive Steering among other things back on the commodity list. Dunno what that means for unscheduled folks exactly in terms of the wait, but it seems like a round of Adaptive Steering trucks were scheduled today and that’s it for a little bit. I ordered back in July.
  5. I’m thinking about getting one of these whenever my truck shows up. Can you show a picture of it open, and with something in it? Wanna see how it compares to the fridge in my 200 series.
  6. Am I to understand that there is no availability on a diesel with a locker according to the most recent scheduling notes?
  7. “I’ll just supercharge it later.” -Every single person that purchased a Camaro SS, Mustang GT, or Challenger SRT and wish they got a ZL1, GT500, or Hellcat, and ultimately never installed a blower. I’m not trying to bust balls, but I will make an argument for spending that money up front if you think you will need/want the power, and getting it OEM and under warranty.
  8. The front limited slip diff and crawl control are exclusive to the Tremor, and the takeoffs probably sell pretty well. It gets more tenuous the more you replace, I see folks replacing shocks and springs and radius arms and all that so it starts to feel a little redundant, but the LSD up front along with the modes in the truck are something, along with the modest suspension upgrade.
  9. So with these notes, is it saying that Stock Super Duty orders aren’t being scheduled? Or all? And is the absence of the adaptive steering note this week indicative of the commodity restraint being gone?
  10. I’d call my dealer more often if I honestly believed they had more information to offer. With ‘until further notice’ being as meaningless as it is all I can do is keep modifying my plans as the weeks go by. I wish they’d either give some indication of it being a possibility or just pull the plug on it completely like they did the XLT Tremor.
  11. As much as I’d like an answer I’m at the point where I’d rather wait til 23 for getting exactly what I’ve configured, if that’s what it takes. Adaptive Steering Diesel Lariet Ultimate Blackout or bust.
  12. Got plenty of time, and it’s looking like I’ll be needing it.
  13. You won’t lose steering if adaptive steering goes out. My understanding is that it’s basically a stepper motor that adds or subtracts turns into the steering wheel before it even goes into the column. Worst case scenario in a failure is that it leaves the wheel in a funky position. I’m holding out for it because I’m interested in having a truck that feels more maneuverable at low speeds while having a nice stable on center feel on the highway. Lots of guys have said they like the way it feels towing, as well.
