  1. 100% the right decision given all of the info on constrains that are still there in 2022 and causing delays. Good luck!
  2. Let me get this straight. Your truck is sitting somewhere an hour away from your dealer for almost a month now? I’ve see stories of shipping delays on this forum, but this…
  3. Congrats on the build date! I wondered why your particular thread has so many views in comparison to others, i looked in for that very reason! ?
  4. @ice-capades Ice, can you please decipher the last note about Superduty Tremor package, what exactly do this mean for us, retail order customers? “Tremor Exterior Appearance (17Y) regional controls have been lifted. There are no longer any Super Duty regional controls for the new wholesale”
  5. Very well said. I echo your sentiment. There’s a lot of chatter on Ford announcing transition to retail order market while not truly being ready for the change, still operating like it’s 2019. All while COVID related supply chains disruptions and unprecedented order bank don’t make things easier for them to carry out that transition right now.
  6. Ice, there is a dealer, one of the big ones in retail order market (2,000 plus retail orders) who recently came out and said that this this entire price protection claim submission to Ford scheme is not practical. It requires a dedicated team of dealership resources to generate and then monitor all these claims and more often then not they have seen many of these price protection claims rejected. One can see and understand this dealer’s point of view, imagine having to file 2000+ price protection claims. The intriguing part is, if Ford is saying that “automatic” price protection should apply to retail orders placed prior to price increases, would it not then make sense that Ford “automatically” adjust these customer invoices, thus removing the burden from the dealers accounting department? Just food for thought about these “automatic” price locks. In theory the price protection makes sense, but in practicality filling all of the price protection claims…i can see the dealers side of it, not wanting to go through with it.
  7. There seems to be two different type of people on the forum, those who constantly complain and find any reason to either blame Ford or their dealer for what’s going on right now with all of the scheduling or production delays. Ford is lying to them, the dealer is lying them, both are lying to them. The second type is someone like me. i am waiting to be scheduled for almost 5 months. I understand the situation is difficult right now and life is not always fair with different regions, different dealer allocations, different unscheduled order bank numbers at individual dealer, commodity constrains, huge unprecedented overall superduty order bank, part shortages and supply chain delays. Etc, etc, etc. i’m not blaming either Ford or my dealer, i simply follow weekly release notes, try to drop the commodity constrains that might delay me and continue to wait my turn. Sooner or later i will get scheduled like everyone else does eventually, patience is virtue. There are literally thousands of orders sitting at 02 priority right now waiting for one commodity or another to clear. My dealer alone has over a hundred SD orders that are at 02. Now multiply that by all the dealerships and retail orders in the country. See the problem for what it really is. So no, nobody is lying to you. And it is not the end of the world if your husband doesn’t get his birthday present truck in time for his birthday. He’ll be happy when he gets it during these Covid years.
  8. Haha, exactly, two weeks what. I love how people comment without any thought as to usefulness of their content. I have not seen or heard any new information which said that either the 5th wheel prep or any if the 3 tonneau covers will become available anytime soon. I personally dropped both the 5th wheel prep and the retractable tonneau cover and went from 02 back to priority 10 because of this move. It’s a gamble, i’m willing to take my chances at lower priority vs waiting for these commodity restraints to clear.
  9. I find it hard to believe that such an important digital customer experience function for number one selling vehicle in America is a spare time activity by Ford software developers. There have be other reasons we are not previewed to.
  10. Some of us on F150 forum are astounded that Ford hasn’t done that given it’s already Jan of 2022. Has this ever happened before where Ford would be in the next MY production and still have B&P for the prior year model?
  11. Seems like the answer is no, unless you somehow release the boards and then disable boards electronics in the release state. But as you stated, if unplugging the fuse works , whats wrong with that approach, Is the wrench symbol that intimidating? ?
  12. My source is a very reputable dealer on Ford forums that many people are familiar with, has a solid reputation, easily with over a 1000 retail orders at any given time. I quoted him. you did nothing but spread a rumor and than came back here to insult me in your post.
  13. I provided my exact source and explained it. You did nothing other than coming back with sarcasm to complain. where is your source?
  14. One of the very active and helpful dealers on many Ford forums , Zach from Granger Ford in Iowa had this to say about MY23 SD switchover. While not an absolute fact, i gained trust for his predictions. “Everything that I'm hearing though is that 2022 model year may go into fall 2022 and we'll be ordering 2022s until possibly June/July.”
  15. Where is your information from? Please point to a source of truth, and not just rumors.
  16. @ice-capades i have a rather odd situation, maybe you have experience with this and can advise. My order was submitted by dealer via WBDO on 12/7, the day before MSRP increases went up. Today my sales guy finally got around to sending me the paperwork and the build sheet/DORA which i am supposed to sign had an increased MSRP, not the preview build sheet MSRP pricing we agreed on 12/7. Now he is not sure what to do, says he will reach out to their regional rep on monday to see what can be done. My question is, do you think i might be honored price level 240 given that the order was formally submitted in WBDO on 12/7 or moved to current price level 245 because we did not sign the paperwork in time. Given this wording from above, i’m not sure what to make of it, my thinking is that i’m $1295 screwed now, even though i tried hard to get everything done right prior to msrp increase. Firm 2022-model fleet, retail, and demonstrator orders signed and dated on or before December 7, 2021 and received by Ford Motor Company on or before December 11, 2021
  17. Thanks for explaining. Without this info i’d be worried when i would see a price increase on my own sticker.
  18. Thanks Ice. What is your thinking on why no one has yet to confirm an email from Ford or heard for their dealer. Could Ford still schedule in the evening or tomorrow perhaps? Or is it a week with very light scheduling numbers. Just curious, understand your might not know beyond what was communicated.
  19. What a bummer, no one confirming being scheduled today yet. Have they not started it, usually folks confirm getting their happy emails in the early morning.
  20. Give it more time, i dint think anyone got scheduled yet.
  21. He ordered 3 months ago. Back then there was no constrains on any of the items referenced. So the example itself is somewhat irrelevant to those who are facing these commodity constraints at this very moment. 3 months from now the constraints can be entirely different. I’m not going to come on the thread and tell everyone that back in December i was scheduled with those very items holding you back now. That would be pointless.
  22. Thank you Ice for providing this valuable insight into how this whole process works. I’ve been following your posts for a while along with your weekly scheduling notes. Really appreciate what you are doing for all of us in the dark either waiting to be scheduled or build or delivered. I’ve learned most of the process from your posts here. ??
  23. Perhaps your dealer knows something mine didn't know about keeping you at 02. There are some many stories of us getting different information from our dealers, im not surprised that it comes down to them having experience and knowing how to work the ordering system.
  24. Not true what the dealer told you. I had my priority switched from 02 to 10 by removing the 5th wheel prep and tonneau cover last week. I am back to 10. I havent been scheduled yet, but hoping this move will get me scheduled faster than staying at 02 and waiting for those commodities to clear. and yes, they very specifically told me that making any changes to the order which is at 02 will drop the order back to 10. I was OK with that given so many stories of people waiting 3-4 months at 02.
  25. I did exactly that, dropped a few items from my order that was already at 02. That took me back to priority 10. What’s the point of waiting 3-4 months at 02 when taking off an item will get scheduled much faster. Unless you absolutely must have that item, i didn’t, it was a nice to have, nothing more.
