  1. From what I'm seeing, that "In Production" status really doesn't mean anything. My F350 has been "In Production" since December 9th, with no change in status since then. So that kinda indicates to me the truck is really not being built but instead is waiting for some commodity preventing it from being built. I think my dealer and I will have a discussion after the 1st of the year so we can try to figure out what that commodity is, and if it's an option I can live without, to delete it from the order. If it's a chip shortage, there is nothing that can be done except wait. However, if it's something like the spray-on bedliner, then it will be deleted.
  2. Nice poem and the way many of us feel right now. My F350 has been in "Production" since December 9th with no movement at all since that date. I was hoping my new truck would be built before Christmas, but it didn't happen. Ford is just turning out to be Grinch and Scrooge all rolled into one. But anyway, Merry Christmas to you Shelby!
  3. Well dropping the bedliner is easy enough to do. I can always go to Line-X to have that done. However, dropping the 5th wheel prep is a bit more complicated. It includes the 5th wheel connector and wiring harness for the bed for the pigtail connection, along with the chassis brackets, etc. That's something I'll need when camping season rolls around. So that's something I don't want to drop unless I absolutely have to.
  4. Well if I ever get my damn Ford, my trade-in will be a 2008 Duramax 2500HD. It will be a sweet trade-in though with a 50 Gallon Titan tank, ARE Topper, B&W Gooseneck hitch, and Air Lift air bags with remote controlled compressor/tank. It's been a great truck over the years with about 168K miles on it now. The only thing I've had to fix recently was to replace one of the glow plugs. Everything else has been routine maintenance. I thought I would give Ford a chance and I like it's interior trim better on the new F series. Hope I made the right choice.
  5. All I have to say that as long as I've had to wait for this F350, it had better be F'ing perfect. I'm taking a leap of faith from having a 2008 Duramax 2500HD that I loved to a Ford.
  6. I think you and I are in the same boat. Mine was also supposed to be built the week of the 13th, but still shows in production. The way I understand it, until our Vehicle Order Tracking shows that it's actually been built, then it hasn't been built yet. The bad part is if I interpreted the production schedule properly, the Kentucky plant will be closed for the next two weeks for the holidays. So we are screwed until after the first of the year.
  7. So the dealer said the VVR reported "SENT TO PLANT", which he says that it's actually being built. Strange though they would start the build before the Christmas holidays but not be able to finish it until after the plant reopens after the holiday break.
  8. So Ice, I have a question for you. How long does it normally take after you have received a notice of your build week and VIN before the truck is actually built? I received my production notice on Friday December 9th, and I think that weekend I was able to pull up the VIN. So I thought "Great, my truck is finally being built!". But here we are a week later and no change in the production status. I hate to think it, but it seems I'm screwed for it getting built until after the 1st.
  9. I just received my window sticker recently and I noticed the MSRP had gone up $1,295, exactly what they stated in their notice effective December 8th. However, my F350 was order was signed and dated back in September so should be covered by the so called "Price Protection". So is this going to be a hassle between my dealer and myself once the truck is delivered? I've made no changes to the order since the original.
