  1. That's a good point I guess it didn't occur to me that someone would be asking THAT frequently haha. Thanks for the update! Hopefully I'll have pictures of the car to post soon.
  2. Hey Cyberdman! It's been a week since I since I asked the first time but technically you gave me the update the following morning so I hope I'm not breaking the rules. Assuming I'm not, can you give me an update on: VIN: 3FMTK3RM9MMA54359
  3. That was a good explanation I definitely misinterpreted when I first read it. Yea if you have to drive any sort of long distance, especially regularly, then it is much more convenient to use an ICE.
  4. Hello! Thanks in advance for any updates you can provide! VIN: 3FMTK3RM9MMA54359
  5. I've tried this in the past and it worked for me. If you go to this link and type in your vin, you should see a whole list of modules. If you don't, you are on a chip hold. https://www.motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt
  6. If I had to guess, they're probably going to just start with dealer orders. It would be nice if customer orders were given the option though.
  7. Is it possible to sign up to receive the email updates from Ford about the Mach-E that I took the reservation over for? I try to ask my dealer for updates every now and then but don't get responses all that often. I've seen others get update emails for vehicles they've ordered themselves, so I was curious if that was possible with an order I didn't make myself.
  8. It strongly depends on your location. My Mach-E shipped out about 1 month ago from Mexico. I asked my dealer for an update yesterday and they told me it was still in Kansas waiting to be put on a train where it has been for at least 2 weeks now.
  9. I know this is somewhat off-topic, but I heard the reason Ford opted for slower charging was for battery longevity. This may or may not be because the 100k mile warranty. In any case, I'm glad you're enjoying it. I'm waiting on my Mach-E and I'm already having range anxiety. I think I will be using it in a similar way to you as I don't go on too many road trips but if I do, renting an ICE is always an option.
  10. Okay that's what I was trying to convey I my earlier response, that it was built in December but on a chip hold. Yea I guess "converting" it to another year doesn't make any sense.
  11. I thought so as well. I thought they were supposed to convert it to a 2022, but I guess not. Could it be based on production date? https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking/status/?vin=3FMTK3RM9MMA54359 Edit: The Ford order tracking hasn't been reliable lately, so that link may or may not work depending on the time you click it.
  12. This was my exact thought when I first read the article. I have strong doubts that Ford is splitting up its company.
  13. So when they published this patent, what did they end up using the hybrid V8 for?
  14. I think this could be a great idea if you're given the option of taking it now and waiting on the chips, or taking it later when it's completed. I can see myself taking a vehicle early missing some features as long as i get them later, but I can also understand that those people especially the ones that have a new car every couple of years, won't be interested a car without the features they specifically wanted.
