  1. Even if Ford were to consider your Fusion suggestion, where would they have the ability to produce it considering their plant commitments with new product? And maybe it's just me but why do so many think that a SUV/CUV customer is going to jump into a pickup? They're different classes of customers with different wants, needs, etc. I think the Maverick will do very well with a lot of conquest sales from other brands that can't compete.
  2. I think the Maverick name fits better for the new compact pickup.
  3. I have about 400 LP's from my Mom's estate and have 3 Teac Reel-to-Reel decks I have to work on plus hours of original Ice Capades recordings that I'm about to start re-mastering. About 400 former Capades gypsies are anxious as I'm the only one that has the live recordings done with a 24-piece orchestra from the '60's - '80's. One of the guys I worked with years ago was Cat Anderson who played Lead Trumpet for the Duke Ellington Orchestra.
  4. I would expect Lincoln to have their own version of the COVP but I don't have access to Lincoln's programs. As such, I'd check with your Lincoln Dealer.
  5. Another example of a Dealer not knowing what they're doing! Per my post above... The announcement about the expanded Customer Order Verification Program (COVP) was displayed in the Message Center on the home page at the FMCDealer.com portal on Wednesday.
  6. The Dealer is required to have a copy of the customer's Driver's License and a signed buyers order showing the customer name, order number and eligible order date and upload the documentation to Ford in order to enroll the retail order into the Customer Order Verification Program (COVP). The information cannot be provided by a phone call to Ford. 2021 FORD CUSTOMER ORDER VERIFICATION FOR PRIORITY SCHEDULING AND ALLOCATION WHAT IS HAPPENING • The Customer Order Verification Program (COVP) will be opening to all unscheduled orders on all vehicle lines (excluding Mach-E, Bronco and specialty units) • Verified orders will receive priority scheduling and will receive incremental allocation SUMMARY Dealers will be able to utilize the existing COVP website on https://cni.dealerconnection.com to register retail orders for all vehicle lines (excluding Mach-E, Bronco and specialty units). Verified orders will receive priority scheduling and will receive incremental allocation. Vehicles that are not verified will still be scheduled but will scheduled within the dealer’s earned allocation. Note that while this program utilizes the same process as the Retail Order Incentive, only previously communicated vehicle lines are eligible for the incentive. Please check SmartVINCENT for incentive eligibility. ELIGIBLE VEHICLE LINES All vehicle lines (excluding Mach-E, Bronco and specialty units) are eligible for verification and incremental allocation through the COVP process. • Mustang (Non GT500 or Mach 1) • EcoSport • Escape • Edge • Bronco Sport • Explorer • Expedition • Transit • Transit Connect • Ranger • F150 • Super Duty COVP PROCESS • Customer places eligible retail order through their local dealership • Dealership will enter retail order into COVP website located at https://cni.dealerconnecction.com
  7. INFORMATION UPDATE: 2021MY F-150 Raptor Order Bank Now Open In CONCEPS ACTION REQUESTED 2021MY F-150 Raptor Orders Are Now Being Accepted Through CONCEPS Remaining Job #2 Orders (Tremor, Onboard Scales, CCD, etc.) Will Be Available To Order In CONCEPS and WBDO on June 16th. SUMMARY 2021MY F-150 Raptor orders are being accepted through the CONCEPS system today. Raptor orders may be submitted via WBDO on June 16th, when the remaining Job #2 content is available for order. The order bank for the remaining Job #2 offerings (Raptor, Tremor, Onboard Scales, CCD, etc.) will be live on both WBDO and CONCEPS on June 16th. NOTE: CONCEPS is the old ordering system. The WBDO (Web Based Dealer Ordering) system is preferred for order entry and doesn't require entering order codes for all the vehicle specifications!
  8. The standard process is that only stock orders are scheduled until the "Okay to Buy" status is achieved and then retail orders start scheduling. Scheduling retail 2022 Super Duty orders early is an exception and not a policy change. Producing stock orders only until the "Okay to Buy" allows the company to make sure that the vehicle quality is at the highest level prior to building retail orders. The early scheduling for retail Super Duty orders is most likely due to the 2022MY Super Duty being mostly carryover with minor changes and possibly a reflection of the current market situation and plant schedules... and an effort to get retail orders to customers without prolonged delays.
  9. Changing the order type from stock to retail is the same as putting in a new order because when you change the order type it changes the order date to the date the change was made. No vehicles, stock or retail, ship until after the "Okay to Buy" status is achieved after 5 consecutive days of production with zero defects.
  10. The recent ransomware attacks are just a test for what what we may see next for critical sectors. China and Russia are not our friends and will exploit any weakness to take it all to the highest level of impact.
  11. And it appears that the switch to Connected Navigation includes service for only 3 years. Here's another way for Ford to capitalize on the connected services revenue stream. For many it'll be take the 3 years service included and then exit.
  12. Any changes made will generate the new prices but a retail order is still price protected to the prices in effect the date that the retail order was originally placed. Changes to the order won't affect the price protection. When your Dealer reports the sale to Ford after you take delivery, they submit a claim to Ford for the price protection adjustment.
  13. Unfortunately! Google's software is horrible, especially the Android platform.
  14. Sorry but that's not something that those of us here can fix. Have you talked to your Dealer about a status update?
  15. So sorry to hear about the microchip delay for you of all people!
  16. The current D&D charge for a 2021 Explorer which is also built at CAP (Chicago Assembly Plant) is $1,245.
  17. I'm planning on doing an overdue update/revision to this "Ford Vehicle Ordering & Scheduling Process" topic that will also include information on the new Retail Order Verification Process, Vehicle Visibility, WBDO and any other matters that are directly related to the ordering and scheduling process. My intent is to replace the existing content with the most recent information and provide it as a resource tool only for the information and not a discussion thread. If members have questions about specific model ordering, scheduling, production or tracking they should be be posted in the forums for the specific vehicle models so that they can be addressed appropriately. If possible, I'll have the updates done within the next week.
  18. Unfortunately, many sales representatives don't know much about retail factory orders or the process. traditionally, they're trained to sell from stock but with the low inventory now you'd think they'd want every retail order they could get from a customer like yourself that knows what they want. Please let us know how you make out and let us know if there's any other information you need.
  19. The priority code only applies to unscheduled orders. When the order is scheduled, the VIN number and scheduled production week is scheduled and the priority code ceases to have any influence on any status changes. Production dates for scheduled vehicles are being revised due to the microchip shortage and updated plant schedules.
  20. Per the latest FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin) here's the timetable for the 2021/2022MY Lincoln Aviator. 03/05/2021 - 2021MY Fleet Final Order Due Date 03/11/2021 - 2021MY Last Day to Spec Change 07/30/2021 - 2021MY Balance Out Date 03/15/2021 - 2022MY Order Bank Open Date 06/17/2021 - 2022MY Scheduling Begins 07/30/2021 - 2022MY Job #1 Date The USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) opened on 03/15/2021 and all Lincoln Dealers have been able to submit all order types (Stock, Retail, Fleet) since that time. 2022MY Lincoln Aviator scheduling is now due to start on Thursday, June 17th. I'll know better tomorrow about the scheduling start when Ford posts the scheduling plan preview for next week. That information will be available in the Production Week Scheduling Information topic that I update weekly.
  21. Attached for your reference is a copy of the Window Sticker from the FordDirect database. Your Dealer is the best source for detailed information via the Vehicle Visibility system which is now displaying notices for produced vehicles being held due to the microchip shortage. They can provide you with a copy of the report showing the notice for your vehicle. Ford is doing everything they can to address the microchip shortage for vehicles being held but there's little if anything that can be done at the dealership level other than providing you with the latest information available from Ford. Otherwise, I'm not sure what answers you expect. 1FTFW1ED5MFB61165_WS.pdf
  22. Dealers could start submitting orders of all types as soon as the USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) opened. Vehicle ordering and scheduling has nothing to do with what Ford displays at the Ford.com site. Ford started scheduling 2022 Super Duty retail orders on Thursday, June 3rd. Find another Dealer!
  23. See https://blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/63667-ford-vehicle-ordering-scheduling-process/&page=10&tab=comments#comment-1135001 for the new scheduling process for verified retail orders that will be scheduled above allocation. Ford's done this in the past for certain vehicles but is now implementing it on almost all models to expedite retail order scheduling. This is the way retail orders should have always been handled! This process also helps eliminate a problem with some dealerships manipulating the system with phony retail orders.
  24. Anyone that knows me well would understand how annoyed I get hearing one story after another of a dealership's unprofessional, misleading and unethical business practices. I've spent hours and hours trying to assist another BOF member with a 2022 Super Duty order and now I read this. This Dealer is giving you one line of BS after another. Words cannot describe my opinion of their customer treatment. Do they just not know what they're doing? Is it complete incompetence? Is it them just telling you what they think you want to hear? Is it your Dealer making up answers to cloud the fact that they've cost you important time and money? It's all of the above and more! Refusing to give you a copy of the order, not submitting your order to Ford and losing two months time, costing you money because now your order is subject to the price increase effective June 1st, etc. is just unacceptable. What a way to start a business relationship with a customer!
