  1. Let's go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy out on a limb: MTP -Home of Ford's SUV's
  2. Only 'cause we're launching the Navigator L? Why 9 hours for a product that is essentially the "same" as the Expy EL...
  3. Chic-Fil-A has always been number 1 in my book. Great chicken sandwiches and observers a Sunday day of rest for their employees. Now that Truitt wsnts the last Taurus from the employees who helped build and continue his business makes Chic-Fil-A even better. Too bad we don't have any here in Detroit.
  4. That's the problem with Ford, it's seems they don't do things that would make sense.
  5. 2002-2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 2002–2007 GMC Envoy 2002–2004 Oldsmobile Bravada 2003–2007 Isuzu Ascender 2004–2007 Buick Rainier 2005–2007 Saab 9-7X 2004-2005 Envoy XUV
  6. If the CV or GM has Traction Control then they have a donut.
  7. Yes we are shipping to dealers. Atchinson in Bellevillehas an Alloy Limited El and Village Ford has a Black Eddie Bauer EL on their lot.
  8. Nope, didn't run out, 5's designate it as a Lincoln product. Nothing more than that.

    MTP

Ummm Wixom's already at one shift. So unless your rep meant Wixom is closing in Nov., we'll get to slide next door.
  10. I had the same problem but tried again and everything worked fine.
  11. IIRC skilled trades came on normal(7-3,3-11, 11-7) 8 hr shifts when we were on 3 Crew at MTP with D and E crews on the w/e.

  13. Hmmmm I got the same paper and Rawsonville and Sterling are on it.
  14. We were on 3 crew for about 5 years(96 to Apr 01). We ran 4 10hr days, with our shifts running: A crew(days) Mon thru Thurs; B crew(nights)Tues thru Fri and C crew ran Fri & Sat days and Sun & Mon nights. From what I have read(I'm sure people at DTP can confirm) DTP will run 4 10's but OT ONLY AFTER 40hrs/wk. We at MTP were getting time and a half after 8.
  15. From the bulletin we got at MTP, they will also take out 6 mos worth of health care and dental.
  16. If by today's announcement of Essex Engine and Maumee Stamping are going to be idled, then YES engine and trans plants could be considered "Assembly".
  17. I've been in our body, equipment for a box line is there just not mounted anywhere permanent.
  18. Actually the Marauder system is not 3". I have a Marauder and just had the exhaust done front to back in 2.5" leading into the stock 2.25" tailpipes attached to the 3.5" Megs tips

    plants

Here's the list according to Ford's site: http://media.ford.com/facilities/index.cfm...p;make_id=trust
  20. If Ford does offer company-wide buyouts doesn't mean the "deadbeats" will take it. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This by far the best summation I could find of this board and the state of mind of most line workers at Ford.
  21. Here is my response to DetroitFanz in this thread: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index...=5419&st=60 According to our Local, WAP, ISA and MTP have the option to bump into each other's plant based on seniority. BUT you must have as least 6 years. On page 54 Section 4 Subsections a-d in the new local agreement states 4a) Employees with 15 or more seniority will be allowed to displace employees with less than 15 yrs seniority. 4b) Employees with 10 years or more (but less than 15 years) will be allowed to displace employees with less than 10 years. 4c) Employees with more than 6 years (but less than 10 years) will be allowed to displace employees with less than 6 years. 4d) Employees displaced under subsection 'a' & 'b' of this section shall exercise their seniority through the occupational group structure applicable to their respective units, except that those employees with less than 6 years who are affected by the operation shall be laid off and shall have the right to exercise seniority as providedfor in Article VIII, Sections 11 through 13of the Master Agreement, but shall retain seniority in their respective units.

  23. Unfortunately we still have a lot of brain supervision inthe plant. I can say in trim it is somewhat better. Supervisors seem to be taking quality a little more serious. (Guess some will find themselves on the unemployment line with us.) But the true test will be when we go to full production.
  24. We do pg 54 sec 4 sub sections a-d in the local agreement.
  25. Let's not forget that once Ford goes to the T-1 platform DTP, MTP, NAP and KTP can all build the same vehicle. My swag is that Ford is consolidating plants closer to Mich. But hey who knows: In this day and age nothing is safe. Let me guess all of our old post counts didn't transfer over to the new system?
