J-150
It does not say it is closing... It says it may be on the list of closures. ENOUGH WITH THE RUMORS!! true enough. I think its safe to say that Dearborn is probably the only plant that is 100% guaranteed to not close. After that, its anyones guess. rougemillwright
Could they take the production from MTP and bring it over to dearborn truck? if so, then wouldn't the people get to come with their jobs? This is going to be a very anxious week for everyone.

Tags
Hey! That actually makes sense. With the new Edge coming out the Escape is doomed, so put the Expedition/Navigator/ExpeditionXL on the SUV side at KCAP. Hell, while we're at it why not just bring the Super Duty trucks from KTP. Please, everybody...... simmer down for one week..... ANYTHING is possible and I suspect the Way Forward will only lead to more questions than answers. How much information do you really expect to get? :P

jdima43558
Michigan Truck still sells 100,000 Expeditions and Navigators per year. We still make One Billion in profit per year. Ford just spent 300 million for a new flex body shop. We expect to sell 15 to 20,000 Extended Expeditions/Navigators. We are capable right now to build four door F Series. We are fifteen minutes from World Headquarters. With Kentucky Truck working all that overtime they can move the Saturday production to MTP and save on the overtime and cut skilled trades to six days. We are fifteen minutes from World Headquarters. With Kentucky Truck working all that overtime they can move the Saturday production to MTP and save on the overtime and cut skilled trades to six days. What overtime? We still have 3 crews working,4-10 hour shifts. We do get the extra few tenths if there have been problems that day(breakdowns, line stops). The most we can work is 10.7 each day, they call the line time after lunch. Only overtime we have had was extra shifts on saturdays to make up for loss production due getting the new systems in paint and body running smoothly. We are running a couple extra shifts so we have the day off during the kentucky derby(its like a holiday down here). The all new trim shop is suppose to be done in april. They took all the excursion system out and replaced it with the new trim shop. They will then tear out the old trim shop, and extend body shop out even more. We ran just under 400,00 units last year, not bad considering we sold 900,000 f-series last year between four plants. We are running just under 80 units a hour in trim the last i have heard. New trim shop is rumoured to be able to run anywhere from 90 to 100 units per hour. Probably won't need fans at that speed, just feel the draft as they fly by us. Good luck to everyone on the 23rd.
