Urban gardens? Going back to using oxen? "Witch doctor" medicine? Those Cubans really are something else. Cutting edge innovators, that's what. Oh yes, they forgot to mention that Cuba still trades with the rest of the world, including Canada. Their backwardness cannot be blamed on the US. Bluecon
"RICHARD S. LINDZEN, MIT PROFESSOR OF ATMOSPHERIC SCIENCE- On Global Warming Fears: I think it's mainly just like little kids locking themselves in dark closets to see how much they can scare each other and themselves. And there's a lot of confusion in this and, you know, at the heart of it, we're talking of a few tenths of a degree change in temperature. None of it in the last eight years, by the way. And if we had warming, it should be accomplished by less storminess. But because the temperature itself is so unspectacular, we have developed all sorts of fear of prospect scenarios -- of flooding, of plague, of increased storminess when the physics says we should see less." http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?Fus...91-E3975CBB96CB

Its just to easy. Gore refuses pledge And then there's are good buddy Mr. Enviroment John Edwards. This ones a real, well just see for yourself. Edwards home carbon neutral He even says his campaign is carbon neutral. Please make it stop,i laughed myself to tears over the last one. And just so not to leave out the enviro wackos: climate control action day I thought we needed to do something right this minute for greenhouse gas emissions? There saying 80% by 2050,we could have 3 or 4 climate change flip flops by then. I'm so confused. Its all about taking from one nation and giving to another like IMA SAID,GOT IT! Let me answer that for you, of course not. Inhofe's biggest contributor is oil, and of course, he wants Gore to look bad. What is the point of such a question, really, I do not get it. Gore is not asking anyone to take drastic measures, he is only asking the average household to take small steps. So why should he take drastic measures? He is rich, and he lives the lifestyle, who wouldn't? He is trying to offset his carbon use, and that is all he is asking of us.

He's been asking for higher gas taxes for years to "force" people to drive less, yet he jets all over the world on permanent vacation.... Offset his carbon use? How? ....Ok I'll do that, I'm going to buy carbon credits from the Ebritt foundation and plant a tree....how's that? Wake the hell up man... Uh UH!..STP is typing something... Hmmm, lets us suppose Gore did win in '2000' and he stopped subsidizing the price of oil, and factored in all the external costs. The only way that would ever have passed Congress if he supported the auto industry in the changeover to a more economical fleet, and perhaps by promising Republicans that most of the proceeds would go towards the National Debt. Fast forward a few years and gas might be $3-4 dollars a gallon, waaaaait a minute, isn't gas already that much now? Hmmm, why is that, oh I know, Bush didn't do "nuttin" and we still have this UN-economical fleet with all the money going towards terrorist states. Yeah, I must be some dimwit, hey, why help the domestic auto industry with the "Clinton Plan" and keep the money here. Yeah, let us just keep shipping that money over there to the terrorists. Great idea, we spend trillions fighting in the Middle East, and where is it do you suppose that the enemies are funded? What was that? It is the environmentalists fault for not letting us drill off the coasts and in ANWR. Demand would still BY FAR still exceed supplies. Even with these sources, we would still have to import as much if not more oil to satisfy growing demand. Eventually, we are going to have to do more than put little yellow ribbons on our properties, god forbid, but we may actually have to start making small sacrifices. Imawhosure
!!!!!!!!!!! Iran took some British marines!!!!!!!!! They were checking for contraband on a ship in waters currently under the sovereign rule of Iraq. Gee, they got a vote in the UN on their nuclear program. Why would they do that? Well, guess we gotta go kiss their rearends now too, cause we all know GW did this some kinda way, right guys!!!! Ah well, we see how smart everyone is over there, and how with the British pulling out troops, everyone should be cheering. I suppose with our air craft carriers sitting there, the smart thing to do is negotiate to allow a continuation of their nuclear program, so we should all write the White House and tell Bush to do so. I mean, after all----->this whole war is about oil, not terrorism; and we gotta get it right before the next election, now don't we, lololololololol!!!!! Bluecon
Even the lefty NPR crowd when faced with the facts turn against the global warming argument. "In this debate, the proposition was: "Global Warming Is Not a Crisis." In a vote before the debate, about 30 percent of the audience agreed with the motion, while 57 percent were against and 13 percent undecided. The debate seemed to affect a number of people: Afterward, about 46 percent agreed with the motion, roughly 42 percent were opposed and about 12 percent were undecided." http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=9082151
