MIAMI-DADE
Does anybody know if Ford has discontinued the fleet sales of Crown Vic yellow taxi cabs? Why on earth would you ask a question like that?N.YC. has to change their fleet every 4 years while private owned cabs can go for 7 years. Why on earth would Ford want to give up all those sales. I don't know what else that can replace the Vic for a cab.The POS charger won't cut it.
Bob Rosadini
There is a garage in Sommerville MA. that has a steady parade of PI's going through it. Some come in with the municipality id still on them. Interesting- a car gets pounded for two or three years and THEN begins its second life as a Boston cab. Unlike the Big Apple, Boston apparently has no age rule. The bulk of Boston cabs are CV's with dual exhausts! A tribute to the car's guts. Charged92
I don't know what else that can replace the Vic for a cab.The POS charger won't cut it. I work at Stap and on my way home I have seen quite a few car carriers heading down the 401 loaded with "taxi yellow" Chargers. :o
