CarShark
What car is on the top, range? The Canada-only CL? Almost as stupid as the Pontiac Wave.
range
On the bright side, Acura finally found that missing horsepower they lost a few years ago!!! Oh where, oh where did my horsepower go............ Honda Inflates Horespower Ratings Edited February 8, 2008 by range
630land
With the new full sized Accord, what is the point of Acura? It was for fan boys who loved the Integra, problem was they all bought used, so no profits for Honda. So, now they make shopping mall SUV's :cheerleader: and boring sedans. Who fucking cares, other than the V-tech fanatics? Who BTW still only buy used Cvic/Integra hatchbacks and add fart pipes. :burnout: A base LX with 'mods' is the biggest joke, as if.... suv_guy_19
What car is on the top, range? The Canada-only CL? Almost as stupid as the Pontiac Wave. You mean CSX. The old Civic rebadge was called the EL, thats why our long Expy has to be called max.
macattak1
You mean CSX. The old Civic rebadge was called the EL, thats why our long Expy has to be called max. What am I missing here? In the states it is called EL... Its called the Max in Canada? Peace and Blessings
suv_guy_19
What am I missing here? In the states it is called EL...Its called the Max in Canada? Peace and Blessings Yes, Expedition Max, EL is trademarked by Acura here.
range
And Acura's problems extend way beyond the RL. I thinks its so obvious now, even the fanboys in denial have to admit it.
630land
One fan boy at work with an RSX asked me for Acura stuff from last years Auto Show. Was shocked that 2 doors were dropped. I was like what planet are you from? Edited February 9, 2008 by 630land
rmc523
Umm..the MKS comes out in a couple of months. I'd take an MKS over this new abomination known as the RL.
rmc523
Agreed, Ford has nothing to compete with the CTS. Will Ford every produce a sedan with some hint of sportyness? A production MKR is said to be coming in a rather short period of time. Nothing sporty about an AWD sedan with 350+ horsepower? Nope, nothing sporty at all. rmc523
I heard Ford is going to put 22" wheels on the Edge and call it "sporty" Yes, you're correct. Along with a more sporty suspension tuning and some exterior modifications.
rmc523
Yeah those are the markets to be in... Hmmm......130K (? is that what Mustang sold) + 700K, nope not the markets to be in.
rmc523
BTW, WTF is a sporty sedan?? RWD, minimum 500-hp, etc.......
rmc523
If you want an ECOboost (turbocharged) vehicle You can go shop at Acura RIGHT NOW. Acura RDX. An SUV with more sporty handliing than any current sedan from Ford, or Lincoln. Yes, and uglier than any current sedan (or vehicle) from Ford or Lincoln. rmc523
And when will those be here? What will the competition have to offer up against them? At any rate, when did peak power become the thing consumers want most? That's the thing about EcoBoost.....they'll be fuel efficient AND powerful. rmc523
Being replaced this year, being replaced this year & being replaced this year. Yes, with uglified, hideous replacements.
rmc523
Yuck! If you're gonna give it the 'Bangle-butt', at least have it fit with the design theme of the rest of the car......well I guess the overall design theme of the car is "UGLY", so if fits right in, nevermind. rmc523
From looking at the pics, especially the interior, the MKS looks like a competitor to the Accord, not the RL. Explain.... Yes, you truly are a troll. A troll with bad vision at that. I don't understand it either.
rmc523
Yeah, check out the NEWER competitor from Ford, the Sport Trac.A quick look at incentives and I see much higher incentives on the Sport Trac than I do the Ridgeline? I'd take a Sport Trac over a Ridgeline anyday.
rmc523
The Acura lineup is not crap. However, the RL is a f**king joke!! How can your flagship vehicle have a freaking V6 that spits out only 300 HP while all your competitors have V8s?? Someone at Acura needs to be fired pronto!! Borrowing a page from cheerleaders, the TL and TSX are due to be replaced with better vehicles in the near future. :hysterical: Although i cant agree with your "far superior" statement, I'll go even further and state that the MKS will outsell the RL in the first month!! Yes, the TL and TSX will be replaced by uglified new models.....think MDX + RL + RDX designs cues all thrown into one (well, 2) vehicles. Talk about ugly. I'm impressed, a positive outlook on a Ford vehicle, that has to be a first for you, FordLOL. Edited February 9, 2008 by rmc523
rmc523
If you want to compare stuff that doesn't exist yet, remember, Acura recently tested their 500hp plus V10. Rumors of V8s, and V6 diesels soon too. Yes, that's been delayed and pushed back because of design issues.
rmc523
words of advice...posts that long winded don't get fully read....Ford people are illiterate remember..... I know I didn't read it.

rmc523
You mean CSX. The old Civic rebadge was called the EL, thats why our long Expy has to be called max. What am I missing here? In the states it is called EL...Its called the Max in Canada? Peace and Blessings I still see one of those ELs here in the states.....it's the only one I know of. The Expedition EL (US) is called the Expedition Max in Canada because Acura owns the EL name in Canada, but not in the US.
