Deanh
perhaps off topic, but relevent when small perforamnce cars are mentioned along with speculative pricing for a verve/ Fiesta or Focus...have in my hands a copy of Car and Driver with atest of the new 135i....get this, specs300hp, twin turbo v6, curb weight 3420, 0-60 4.7secs, 7000 rpm redline,....great numbers ( styling a little bugly though IMO )...but get this...base pricing $35,675...as tested $42895!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!2 dr tiny coupe with go-nadds.........now, put a 2.5 TT eco in a similar weighted AWD Focus, get similar specs and price at 27-29k.....seems like a no-brainer....Field of dreams quote..."build it and they will come......" LSFan00
Dean, that again is the point. With the luxo-makers selling fast little cars now in the mid 30's to 40's, Ford can definitely move some (probably more than some) pricey "SVT" Foci/Fiesta models state-side, if it friggin' wants to.
