timmm55
http://bettedavis.com/about/viewheadline.php?id=4583 Betty Davis was an amazing actress (duh) but she was also a patriot, opening the Hollywood Canteen in WWII and her secretary said she would only buy American cars..... she prefered Fords all her life. timmm55
Obviously that was before it was "in" to be anti american and a liberal pawn from hollywierd. I like her even more now. I was watching the Barrett-Jackson Auction btw. Make no mistake, she was a Liberal AND a patriot. http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/b/bette_davis.html I sent my flowers across the hall to Mrs Nixon but her husband remembered what a Democrat I am and sent them back. Bette Davis I always love how conservatives denigrate "Hollywood" values....then go on to try and subvert the Constitution to their ideals. While they accuse Democrats of "Tax&Spend" they've managed to take a surplus into a trillion dollar negative.

96 Pony
Yeah, I wasn't intending to inteject politics here (simply a great actress/patriot who was also a Ford Fan) Yeah, I didn't agree with all Miss Davis' politics but she did a huge service during WWII. And anyone Hollywood millionaire that would order a Mustang when she could have whatever she wanted well - that's aces in my book. :shades: Back to topic please? Vermillion06
What happened to Hollywood? It used to have guys like Clark Gable and Gary Cooper driving around in custom built Dusenbergs. Now it has DiCaprio driving a Prius....
