deflep1 Posted April 3, 2009 Share Posted April 3, 2009 (edited) The AAI transfers are all on hold. We have 93-97 seniority stuck here while other plants are sending people now. AAI is supposed to drop from 50 jph now to 40 jph in May. It may go down to one shift, or keep both and do 2 weeks on , 2 weeks off. Either way, our plant doesn't want to send anyone until our line speed drops and there won't be a need to replace the Saline transfers. Trim & Final could not run if they released everyone in order of seniority. Some units would lose 25% of their workers in a 2 week period, and 35-45% in a month. Mazda doesn't want any new people coming in, so I guess our transfers will be waiting at least another month, until they aren't needed any more.
