Bored of Pisteon
Ha.. would've liked to see Smart cars get crash-tested.. The video of a Smart car going head to head with a Mercedes-Benz is out there somewhere... LINK And these small cars are going head to head with their bigger corporate nameplate vehicles. Toyota Camry vs. Toyota Yaris Honda Accord vs. Honda Fit And the above mentioned pairing. Gee... What else is there to say! Oh, wait... fordmantpw
Yeah, because my irrational fear of crashing drives every decision I make. My 3 yo son needs one of those. I've never seen anyone try to destroy his head as much as this kid. is something he does routinely.

Oh yeah. We had one of those. We had a revolving credit account with the local emergency department and were on a first-name basis with everyone there. We used to show up with new wounds just in time to have the healing progress on the old ones checked (I am not exaggerating). He survived and even got into college, so there's hope. Ahh, the joys of parenthood! I so enjoy waking up at 2:00 am to wake my son and ask him his name, age, and how many fingers I'm holding up. V8 Ford
They already account for this is side and rear crash tests were they use a 3300lbs sled regardless of the car their testing. So, a head on collision between a subcompact and a midsize is problematic. The subcompact should be fine if hit from the side or back by the bigger car. But these Smart cars and all these other little tinkertoys are simply no match when it comes to a full size car, or a pick-up truck, an Econoline or definitely one of these: Edited April 18, 2009 by Bored of Pisteon
