What happened to global warming?

Cap and trade:

I missed breakfast this morning, so I'll sell my "food credit" to somebody who wants to eat 4 meals a day. That will reduce the total amount of food consumed...oh wait...well it will make me richer for not eating and make the person who want to eat more, poorer...Actually the BROKER that we have to buy and sell food credit's through will be the big winner.

Who' s the cap and trade broker again??? oh yes, rymes with "poor" (or is that "pore"?)

Does it bother you that Al Gore gives almost all of his profits to non profit organizations? Kind of shoots a hole in your theory huh? Can't you guys juist admit that he and many others like him really do believe in ACC? When I used to hear extreme left wing liberals rail on Bush and Cheney about how they were in the skull and cross bones club, or that the only reason they went into Iraq was because they wanted oil and wanted to make money off of it, I thought they were a little crazy. Even though I was against going into Iraq, I felt that Bush and Cheney were doing what they thought was right, even though they lied about WMD I still felt that they really cared about what they were trying to do in the middle east, protecting America and bringing liberty to the middle east. Goingbroke you remind me of those left wing nuts that had all those conspiracy theories. Can't you just admit that Al Gore has a difference in opinion on ACC? Do you really think that he is doing it solely for the $$? You don't think he could easily make $$ on wall street or some other way with all his connections? Gore has been an environmental and ACC activist for 30 years, do you think that he hatched some Machiavellian plot to make $ from ACC policy 30 years ago? And how do you explain him giving most of his profits including the profits from his new book to charity and non profit groups all of Gores earnings from his investments in green technologies have gone to the Alliance for Climate Protection.

Does it bother you that he was awarded an academy award, a Grammy, Nobel peace prize, a prime time Emmy award, a webby award, and that time magazine named him runner up for person of the year in 2007, did I mention that he was Vice president and that he had the election stole from him by Jeb Bush, Katerine hHarris, and the Supreme court?

It only bothers me because Gore does this all whilst living in a mansion, parading around in SUV caravans, and jet-setting around the world on his own private plane. He's a hypocrite to the n'th degree. At least if he lived like Ed Begley or something I'd take him a little more seriously concerning his supposed beliefs.

Typical, personal attack instead of disproving my post. If you can drive the price up on something by limiting it, why stick to actual physical products? How about making up a product and then limit it to drive the price up? The left might be on to something here...next they could tax breathing or ...HEY I GOT IT!!

CALORIE CAP AND TRADE! Yeah that would work. You put an arbitrary price on calories, then as you burn them or consume them you would dictate how much your bill is at the end of the month. Let's see, fat people consume more calories and burn off less, so they would have to pay the government to be fat!

GREAT IDEA!! (everybody hates fat people right?) And the skinny granola crunching hippies would obviously get a huge paycheck at the end of the month (courtesy of the obese) from the gubment! You could say it's all for heath care reasons and make it law. If you drive a suv you pay more, if your fat, you pay more, if you put your heat up higher then the gubment standard (whatever they dictate at the time) you pay more. If you use more of anything, your taxed more!

PERFECT! Then, everybody would be skinny,(underfed due to calorie tax) taking mass transit (can't afford vehicle tax)and working for the gubment...oh wait...that's russia....umm....ah...

This loonie idea is rediculous if you think about it, so don't thionk about it! Just pass this bill quickly, and this bill too, oh and quick, pass this one just DON'T READ ABOUT IT, JUST BELIEVE!

The loons have officially taken over the asylum, led by their messia.

You guys are yelling into the wind, most of the ACC debate took place over the last few years with scientists overwhelmingly agreeing with ACC. So now WE (192 countries) are going to do something about it. Not only will we create a new treaty on ACC in Copenhagen to start when Kyoto ends, but we will also pass cap and trade along with many other energy solutions here in America to stop the continues destruction of the environment by over consumers like you guys. After all, Obama and the Dem's have a mandate.

obama can go over there and sign as many GW treaties as he wishes...however they have no chance of ever being ratified by the Senate.....

Your so-called mandate for socialism ended Tue. Nov. 3, 2009. Clearly BO and his administration mis-judged the election. He campaigned as a moderate, which go him elected. Now he is ruling from the extreme left. My guess, based on the people surrounding him and his current agendas, he never intended to be a moderate. He lied.

Did you know that the British Paliment banned "An Inconvenient Truth" from being shown at schools unless there was a disclaimer that informed the students that this was not scinetific proof.

See the film. "Not Evil, just wrong".

Look at the template for socialims and compare it to GW. Distribute wealth from prosperous countries to so-called poor countries. Same thing.

"over consumer" Have you seen Algores elcetricity bill??? Flown in his private jet? He and GW are two to big, fat hoaxes.

The big story of the races is that the coat tails of Obama turned out to be very short after all.

A look at the percentage changes in the elections tells the story. The independents that brought Obama to power have returned to the red side of the ledger. Minus the charisma of BO, the "new left" doesn't show up at the polls.

give it a week and it will be warm, maybe even a few days.

The mini ice age starts here

The bitter winter afflicting much of the Northern Hemisphere is only the start of a global trend towards cooler weather that is likely to last for 20 or 30 years, say some of the world’s most eminent climate scientists.

Their predictions – based on an analysis of natural cycles in water temperatures in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans – challenge some of the global warming orthodoxy’s most deeply cherished beliefs, such as the claim that the North Pole will be free of ice in

summer by 2013.

According to the US National Snow and Ice Data Centre in Colorado, Arctic summer sea ice has increased by 409,000 square miles, or 26 per cent, since 2007 – and even the most committed global warming activists do not dispute this.

That's correct. Whether you believe in AGW or not, pointing out a single whether events (or even multiple ones) is really irrelevant to climate science.

That is why global warming "visual aids" such as polar bears on small icebergs, collapsing ice, or a stream of water running across a muddy plain should be ignored. These, as you say, are irrevelant, and are only presented in order to mislead. Global warming has been exposed as a hoax. Copenhagen was a joke. The Kool Ade jug is empty, and the corpses are everywhere. The indoctrinated are unbelievably ordering a re-fill.

From the standpoint of a single point influencing the average of a large set of points, I'll agree. The current cold weather's effect on the climate average is negligible.

Recent cold is a single data point that must be counted equally with other data points to formulate the overall climate average.

Influences on climate must be calculated using weighted-averages. Man's influence is weighed far below others that we cannot control.

Where was your concern about the billions being spent when the war in Iraq was continuously going over budget? Where were the tea parties and the protesters when GW was running up the deficit?

It's called the MSM. They pouded those issues every day for years, no individual lib had to lift a finger (as usual).

Yet we only get brief mention of Obamas lies on televising the healthcare debate, which Pelosi already answered "NO WAY"!!

TAXPAYERS FOOT BILL FOR CLIMATE CHANGE CAMPAIGNERS

BRUSSELS bureaucrats gave climate change groups more than £1.5million of taxpayers’ money last year to promote the theory that human activity is causing global warming, it emerged yesterday.<P class=storycopy itxtvisited="1">The European Commission handed out huge cash sums to Climate Action Network, Friends of the Earth and the World Wildlife Fund. In one case, British and other European taxpayers paid out more than £700,000 to Friends of the Earth Europe – "more than half the pressure group’s 2009 budget".

The payouts came to light after questions by UKIP Euro MP Godfrey Bloom. He said the cash was perpetuating unfounded claims about global warming.

Latest Global warming scam thats making news in Europe..

THE NEW CLIMATE CHANGE SCANDAL

The International Panel on Climate Change was forced to admit its key claim that Himalayan glaciers would melt by 2035 was lifted from a 1999 magazine article. The report was based on an interview with a little-known Indian scientist who has since said his views were “speculation” and not backed up by research.

It was also revealed that the IPCC’s controversial chairman, Dr Rajendra Pachauri, described as “the world’s top climate scientist”, is a former railway engineer with a PhD in economics and no formal climate science qualifications.

We can already see the results of warmer temperatures in Africa, along tropical coasts and in the great Wheat Belt of the American Midwest. The desert is encroaching on the fertile African veldt, displacing the Masai, who have kept cattle there for centuries. Catastrophic hurricanes occur with less and less time between them. Severe storms, tornadoes and straight-line winds have been more numerous. The sea ice and glaciers are retreating, threatening wildlife habitat and water supplies. Certain species are disappearing, and some (like the polar bear) are endangered because of diminished habitat.

Another one that just fell off the liberal turnip truck. Dude this alarmist bull shit isn't happening.

The Earth's ecosystem is anything but static. It has an infinite number of inputs. Expecting no change is no more logical than thinking that man has the ability to influence on a measurable scale.
