Sobering...but refreshing to hear someone lay it out. We are the "Land of Opportunity" not the "Land of Take it for Granted". The ball was dropped somewhere in the process and now it's a big mess.

The real cause of the mess is all of the entitlement programs. They remain even if the money is not there to pay for them. Eliminate socialism, and let the people spend their own money. Then there would be more jobs than the people could handle, and nobody would have to be on the dole.There would be no national debt. Instead, we are on the brink of financial collapse. The dollar is in grave danger of going into hyperinflation. This was all caused by socialism. We are following the same path as the former Soviet Union. Only, there will be nobody there to bail us out. Europe and China are going to sink as well.

First of all the muslim race is the fastest growing population in the world except here. Thank God for our friends south of the border

off setting those freaks in the sand. We should take over mexico and legalize and tax them then lets see how fast they run the

By definition "Tea Party" advocates would not use racism, violence, rioting, racial slurs, spitting, throwing objects to cause damage, etc... Tea Party stands for "LAWFUL" actions of all citizens and the government elected by them!

 

If such behavior occurs, at Tea Party rallies or other associated gatherings, the offenders would, by their actions, signify they are not true "Tea Party" advocates, rather, they would be agent provocateurs!

Businesses are fleeing the gvernment. Cut taxes and regulations and they would stay. The Asian countries are giving us the money to buy their junk by purchasing worthless bonds from us. We are socialist through and through, and just as bankrupt as any socialist regime that went under before us.

Power is unevenly distributed now. The top uses the bottom as an excuse to attack the middle. They keep the people on the bottom where they are so they can use them as pawns. It is the middle class that is the greatest threat to the ruling class. Ford wages are not great. They seem great to people who make less, but they are just normal. We have kept up with inflation, while others have not. Other workers are now in dire straits because of low wages. This is the fault of a socialist government that sucks too much out of the economy, causing high unemployment. This forces workers to undercut other workers to get jobs. If there was less government; instead of a labor surplus, there would be a labor shortage, and employees would be going to the highest bidder.

 

Now many businesses are fleeing this socialist mess, and the government is having a problem acquiring enough revenue to pay all of the entitlements to the increasing number of people who are becoming entitled. They have been borrowing/printing enough to make up for the shortfall. This can't go on forever, as you know if you have a household budget. Either you have to find more revenue, or else you have to cut back. What the socialists believe is that they can solve the problem by going on a wild spending spree. This is religion, not reality. The pawns might believe, but the rulers have an agenda. Whatever it is, if it is good for the rulers, it is going to be bad for the subjects.

All the Republicans could do, if in power, would be to stop or slow down the advance to the left. If they were to turn it back, there would be too much pain, and they would be voted out. The slide to socialism is now politically irreversible, no matter who is in power. We will continue to live the relatively good life until there is nothing left; then cold reality will hit us like a ton of bricks. In Greece, any attempt to reduce entitlements, to obtain bailout money and stave off catastrophic consequenses, is met with rioting. In Spain, thousands of new residential buildings are empty. There are no buyers. They will be next on the bailout list. Spain is much larger than Greece. At some point, the larger more fiscally prudent nations are going to balk, and then there will be panic selling on the markets. We are living way beyond our means, and financing it with debt. Government can't create wealth, only piss it away. In the next world, the size of government has to be drastically reduced, and lessons learned. We did not learn from the causes of the previous collapse, and instead embraced and copied the follies of the Roman Empire.

The vast majority of Arizonians agree with the law, yet ONE hand picked, Hispanic Police Chief, out of likely hundred's in the State, who doesn't ends up linked in one of your responses.

 

Of course, if you listen to what the ONE Police Chief says, and the ONE Association member says, neither disagreed with the law. The TWO of them just didn't think local law enforcement should be responsible for up holding it.

 

Which brings us back to the bigger issue. This is not an Arizona Law. This is a Federal Law that the State of Arizona wants enforced.

The Democrats will lose too many votes if they try to enforce the law. Crooks are one of their main pillars. In Canada, the Liberal Party fought hard to get the vote for incarcerated criminals, and they got it. How do you campaign in a prison? "Vote for me and I will fight to have the age for statuatory rape reduced to ten year old children." It is easy to see which side represents moral values, and which side is out for dictatorial power.
