I know of at least one person who put in their order at the start of July, and they've had their car already now for about a week. My order was placed in mid-June, and it was built last week. We knew of our VINs around the first week of August. If you have your VIN, you could try the vehicle locator thread in the Employee section - provided you have at least 10 posts. I'm ordering through a small-town dealer and I haven't really bothered them about it since I have reliable transportation until I can take delivery. The guy at the dealer said he should have more information this coming week. He seems confident I will have it within the next few weeks. The whole thing took just over 12 weeks from order to delivery, and included the 2 week shutdown at MAP in early July. If I had to do it again, I'm not entirely sure if I'd order a car again just for the sheer agony of waiting Still, it's nice to get exactly what I wanted. ranchero Posted September 11, 2011 Share Posted September 11, 2011 I have a Focus on order too. I am OK with waiting for the car; don't need a replacement and whenever is fine with me. But Ford could do customers who order cars a favor by providing some kind of path on a the home site to allow people who have shown enough loyalty and trust to order a car a better tracking system than what is available now. In 2003 I ordered a new German car - produced in Bremen, Germany. During the whole process I was able to track the production, plus ocean and rail shipping of the car to my dealer - on line and easily. Ford should have the sophisticated programs to allow a customer to easily find out where an ordered car is at any time. C'mon, Ford.
