Unreal
Why no power folding mirrors for the ST in the U.S.? Like so many things, some accountant probably thought they could not sell enough to make a profit. I would think many people would like this feature, but maybe it is just me because I might have the smallest single car garage ever made. The Powerfold Mirrors are part of the City Pack on the UK build site (click on Price List)... http://www.ford.co.uk/Cars/Focus/Focus-ST
fordmantpw
You have a garage so small that you need to fold the mirrors in on a focus? Wow! My guess for the reason they don't have that feature in the US is that you are the only one that needs it!
Unreal
I laughed when I read that reply, but sadly it may be true.
agr964
To me, many of the common European car "features" really just seem like expensive toys. Headlight washers? Electric Folding Mirrors? Automatic High-beams? Traffic Sign Recognition? The list goes on. As "neat" as these features might be to have, I simply can't imagine many people (in the US anyway) wanting to pay thousands of dollars extra for them. jwillum
We've owned a 2012 Focus since February and have never once thought "Gee, I wish these mirrors folded in because this car is just too big".
ldd
Traffic sign recognition? Interesting. I hadn't heard of that one before. Actually, I've often found myself wondering what the current speed limit on some road was. It's the previous sign that applies, but often I don't pay attention to every one to constantly track in my head. Might be a nice gimmick to have the car remember them for me. But back on topic... gatorbait
I would love to have power folding mirrors but glad the ST doesn't have them. Don't want to add anymore to the cost of the car.

dbmstng
The price of the European version is higher than the U.S. version, so they get a few more bells and whistles as a consultation prize.
akirby
consultation prize. I think you meant "consolation prize".
