Versa-Tech
I've received some conflicting reports regarding a new V8 engine architecture that is supposedly being developed at Ford. The most common thread in the buzz is that the proposed engine will share practically every part north of the crankshaft with next-gen 4 cylinder ecoboost engines. This would suggest displacements ranging from 3.2L to 4.0L if stroke remained unchanged. Has anyone heard anything about this?
jpd80
Sounds like a red herring, especially since Ford has announced plans to produce a new small V6, presumably in the 2.7 to 3.0 liter range, a smaller version of Coyote could be done but what would be the point.... Moosetang
Could be a one-off showpiece, like the V10 from the Cobra and GR1 concepts.
NLPRacing
Sounds interesting. Would a 3.2L or 4.0L Nano Ecoboost V8 fit in a FWD/AWD application? That might be an intersting engine for Lincoln.
SoonerLS
a smaller version of Coyote could be done but what would be the point.... "All the performance of a V6 with the fuel economy of a V8"...

I concur with both statements.
