The "Thrill Is Gone"-The Collapse Of Obama-mania

Recommended Posts

Where I object to this line of thinking is that there are people who think Obama can give them things without cost. You can have free insurance, but you won't keep your doctor, nor will others who are swept into the maelstrom. You may not even get treatment, because it's simply not available.

Obama has extended the government's reach to the point that people who were already risk-averse from the financial/real estate crisis, are now government- and regulation-averse. There are very few opportunities for growth that people feel free to invest, without the fear that it'll be outright taken or taxed to the point that it's not worth the risk. About the only way to get ahead is to make the government your partner in crime (and yes, I meant it that way)

That should outrage you, as well.

Well, if you mean to take MORE as in giving and getting then i could see you being upset.

However, wanting more from a politician doesn't mean wanting stuff, nor does it mean wanting regulation.

there many people who protest the president from both sides. Some of the liberals wanting more from Obama are upset about Gitmo not being closed, or the drone policies. Of course you would go to healthcare reform because the gentleman heckling the President was mad about immigration reform.

Let's see................liberal s*ck-ups make excuses for Obama's every failure, and berate those who bring up his failures.

We never see our local liberal pro-actively (a favorite catch phrase) step out front and report on and make a point of demanding more from Obama.

No. We only see accusations and personal attacks on those who dare point out Obama's failures and shortcomings.

Keep trying to make the argument about the messenger.

Really, that's all I see to. Accusations and personal attacks.

Yeah, i know how you feel, with a bunch of conservatives here rarely does anyone come out and make a point of demanding more from the Republicans. I only see accusations and personal attacks when i point out Republican failures and shortcomings too.

Funny how that happens

So are you the pot or kettle?

I used insurance as an example, since that is my primary objection, and one thing he actually HAS done. I look at it as he's done enough damage, and people want more of the same?

If he pushes for absolute amnesty, you can expect another objection--from both sides--and I'd expect it may include you. After all, if a competitor can hire cheaper labor (legally), that competitor can undercut your employer. You can think it won't happen, but it already does in the construction industry. Any company that depends on manual labor is vulnerable.

Lets see....the Repbs fought against barrycare and if the dems had listened many millions of people would not be losing their healthcare....when you say "demanding more from republicans".....what you mean is more capitulation on tax increases...immigration reform........social program increases...repubs. like Ted Cruz are doing exactly what they were elected to do.....and now we see dems. putting some distance between themselves and barry......

In a feeble attempt to prop up the popularity of the Obama administration, Obama is granting an interview with their number one sycophant, Chris "Thrill up my leg" Matthews.

I hope he wears a diaper. I suspect P.E. (and I don't mean Physical Education) will be occurring during the interview.

I predict Chris will act like a dog trying to hump Obama.........leg.

It'll be Chris' porn dream fantasy for months. UGH!

And just how "probing" will the questions be? How "revealing"? How "uncomfortable" will Obama be when facing his number one groupie?

There's a reason he doesn't sit for FoxNews, et al. They're likely to ask questions and demand answers that don't act as "getting the White House message out". Rather, they'd expose the failures.

Sure! To tell his side as direct response to any accusations he feels are erroneous. And not relying on the public to "pimp" on each other, via WhiteHouse.org.....as the administration attempted to do earlier.

If he can't stand the heat from his own countrymen...what kind of pantywaist leader is he to the rest of the world?

Your kind of guy!

Here is the bad news, with some good news interjected Fired----------> The people who left the Obama camp last election, are probably all that are going to leave. Conservatives and libertarians can call these people anything you/we wish, from uninformed, to hypnotized......but they aren't going anywhere. They are Obysmalites, just as much as we are ugh-ohs. (What is an ugh-oh? That is a person who mutters ugh-oh everytime the oh-man opens his mouth to say anything, and instantly grabs their wallet)

And so, it has been looked at by supposedly those in know, and while I at 1st figured we had to have more upset Obysmalites come our way to do anything, they insist this is not true thanks to our President. The theory is that those people who do not vote who have a stake in this problem, will now vote to the tune of over 30% over the last election cycle because of the pressure on their wallets, and it has been made extremely clear where/why/and who created that pressure. Those who did not lose anything, will again not vote. Those that voted in the last election cycle who got hosed, will be 40% more likely to vote in this mid term election, then those who felt no pain from this legislation.

I am not sure I believe the percentages, but after considering the theory upon which it was built, I concur that more people are going to be highly motivated to stop this disaster, and that the employer mandate coming is scaring even democrats away after seeing the prices and deductibles they will have to pay. It won't take much to turn this into a rout, so even if they are within 50% of their predictions, this is gonna be a banner year......and any carryover will doom the democrat in 2016....especially Hilly, since she was the 1st to actually try to put this in.

Obama is thin skinned and will do the campaign approach to trying to re-sell what he has done.

Doing a commercial is simple, answering pointed questions is not, especially when you feel you are the smartest person in the room and should not have to explain anything to anyone.

If the WH press core was doing their job and not tossing out softball questions or ignoring facts and running WH press releases the public would have been better served and informed.

No matter who the president is there are always people that will oppose them no matter what, its not exclusive to Obama. The people that might personally dislike or hate Obama have nothing to do with the legislation / law he launched and was forced into effect by his supporting party minions. Obama is still trying to sell it while a large number of democrats that voted it into law are now trying to backpedal ONLY because of a pending reelection.

The democrats own this turd and hopefully go down attached to it.

Take it from the head of the DNC, nothing ANY democrat or Obama said was untrue.

Between her and Pelosi I doubt you could clone or create a more stupid and out of touch human being.

What does it say about someone who listens to anyone as well documented as a liar as Obama or Dumbie Wahzzername Shilz?

"So, no, there was nothing, uh, ah, uh, about what President Obama, or that I, or any other democrats supporting the Affordable Care Act said, that was not true."

Really? Nothing? Nothing Obama said? Nothing you said? Nothing ANY OTHER DEMOCRAT supporting the Affordable Care Act said?

There's at least ONE LIE in that statement. And it is a lie, based on the fact she KNOWS her statement is not true and is intending to mislead the audience.

Even LH has to admit the administration was advised there would be millions who would lose their coverage they liked.......months.....years before the law took effect......all while Obama and his minions were poo-pooing the nay sayers.

You can tell how bad it is by the absence of liberals commenting in this forum topic...

That's seriously funny eagle scout. You stopped day dreaming of how you could be the hero the NRA wants you all to dream about to suggest that a network which has openly opposed him is "heat"? That's stupid enough to be one of your hypothetical day dreams where you defeat the enemy and save the US.

Faux news is not interested in giving him an impartial and unbiased interview so why bother?

LOL, Langston makes a funny!

Actually Langston, they come to my house for dinner on Thanksgiving; and at least 30% of the inquiries I received was..........how can we actually get rid of Obysmalcare, or not have to pay the price hikes.

You see my friend, in my immediate family, we don't get subsidies because we make enough money, they won't give it to us. Not one person who checked at Thanksgiving was going to get a subsidy, and NONE of them had lower premiums or deductibles, unless of course they took the most expensive plan, then their premiums went out of sight. Go figure. Guess when Obysmal was talking about subsidies, he was talking about 2 kinds of them.......those who receive them......maybe like you, and those who pay the government so maybe people like you can get them......meaning me.

And just so you know how much fun I had, I asked each of them to write down what they pay now, and what they will have to pay along with deductible if they are forced to take Obysmalcare. When that was done, I popped the nice DVD I made of about 15 times Obysmal said, "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor," and "the 4 or 5 instances I had on there of him saying how you were going to save an average of 2500.00 a year. The President was no longer Obama; he wasn't even described as Obysmal. For the next 3 or 4 minutes he was called MFer by most of the men, and lying bastard, shithead, and a few other choice names by the women.

Here is the kicker, while all of them are chomping at the bit to get rid of him and his healthcare plan, not all of them are repubs, lolol. Yeah, I love thanksgiving, I really do! Now, I can't wait until Christmas to use the gift that keeps on giving, and that would be the words of your leaders opining upon Obysmalcare.

The turkey day polling was similar in my home and no one had anything good or remotely positive to say about Obama and Obamacare.

The people that voted for Obama were a lot more harsh on him than anything I could add. I just sat and smiled then added "told you".

The facts are the people (all of us) were lied to and misled , NOT by accident but by design with a large group of democrat senators supporting it the entire way.

Now that people are learning the real details and know they were lied to there is a backlash coming. How far it extends remains to be seen.

Clinton got caught in a lie but it was a personal lie and did not directly affect everyone in the country , except those of us that pay taxes and his lie cost tax payers millions.

The Obama lie is going to directly affect everyone in the country.

Face it, if it was a really good deal people figure it out pretty quickly and grab it. If you are trying to keep telling everyone how great something is its likely not that great.

Maybe Obama believes his own BS or is just the most inept president ever elected.
