blockisle9
Well I dropped of my car today for the following: 1- The Works oil change package. 2- TSB 13-4-20, GPS Issue 3- TBS 13-4-25, Squeaky breaks when warm 4- Doors don't always unlock with fob in pocket and door handle is grabbed, and no fey is found when in car. Both intermittent. 5- fuel Mileage (12-13 City) 6- Tranny shifts funny sometimes 1- should be straight forward. 2-3 should be able to be at least applied. 4- probably wont be able to duplicate issue 5- No idea, Hopefully they find something, but, I'm sure it's my location and driving style 6- like number 4 won't be able to duplicate it. They took it in this morning, gave me a 2012 Focus white to drive. Not a bad car once I squeeze my fat A$& in to it. I'm not in a big rush so I hope they take there time. Will keep you posted......

Escapism
What's a squeaky break? Oh no, not this again. The TSB performed on mine for the squeaky brakes has so far worked. No more sounds.
akirby
What's a squeaky break? If your squeaky breaks then it must be time for a new squeaky.

Escapism
Got my car back:*They had to order me a new squeaky. *They had to order GPS parts *Key fob issue still being investigated *Reprogramed Tranny I'm interested in the reprogrammed tranny. Did they just do a re-flash of the same old software or actually update it? I ask because mine seems funny every now and then. This is my first auto tranny EVER so to me it doesn't really shift all that smooth.
blockisle9
I didn't see anything about applying a tsb, I'll look when I go back to the car
blockisle9
All it says is 130314A Reprogrammed PCM and retest No TSB, but if I had to guess, the reprogramming is a reflash and probably is a newer version than the one that came installed when the car was built in Aug 12. Just a guess......

blockisle9
Parts came in and work was done. * TSB 13-4-20, GPS Issue done * TBS 13-4-25, Squeaky breaks done Now we will see how it is. I tried to look at the brakes through the wheel but couldn't tell what was changed. Big rain day tomorrow, so should see how the GPS does
transitman
Took mine in for: Front end thumping sound Problem confirmed, strut knuckle ordered Popping sound at start up Unable to duplicate. Was told to return when it occurs at every start up, or when something breaks. Hard transmission engage at slow speeds/stop and go traffic Adaptive transmission not programmed to that style of driving. Confirm 3.5.1 update Had to reinstall update for confirmation. Check on cost of cabin filter install Cost is 59.99 plus parts total $99.99. He said the filter is $40.00 (I paid $20.04 with tax through Fordparts.com). transitman
This is a roughly annual thing, correct? The owner's manual recommends every 20,000 miles, for me that would be around 18 months. If you have allergies or a breathing condition, drive on dirt roads, live in the desert or in other dusty/polluted environments, I would change at the least once a year.
