Do you happen to know when the order bank for the 2014 Mustang is scheduled to close and when production on the 2015 (or 2014 1/2) is scheduled to begin? I have a lease on a 2011 Mustang that ends 2/28/14 and I'm trying to figure out what to do. Thanks!

I have a lease on a 2011 Mustang that ends 2/28/14 and I'm trying to figure out what to do. Thanks! There is no timetable available yet for either the 2014.5 or the next generation 2015 Mustang. The only plant schedule information that is available so far is that the plant will be down the week of December 23rd and also the week of January 20th. I'll post updates as more information becomes available.
2b2
^ are those down times for the whole plant, ice-capades? or just the Mustang part(s)? ...I'm just trying to get a slightly better grasp of how it works
ice-capades
From what I can tell from the FDNB, only the Mustang line is down for the week of 01/20/2014. The only down time for Fusion production is for the weeks of 12/23/2013 & 12/30/2013 but the FDNB does not identify which Fusion plants are affected. It may take some time for Fusion plant schedules to accurately reflect individual plant production schedules.
Blowe
above I have a 2014 Black GT 401A (premium) Track Package equipped Mustang on order from my dealer and have received my DORA number and dealer says order was accepted but I'm still concerned reading the constraints list above - for GT's with 401 okg and performance pkg. If my order has already been accepted does this mean I just made it in under the wire or is there still a chance that my order may be kicked back?? I haven't followed up on status yet after dealer told me order was accepted as I assumed it would still be a while since I was told to expect early Dec delivery. The DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) only means that the order has been received by Ford and is in the USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) and has nothing to do with scheduling. Scheduling will depend on your Dealer's available allocation. As for commodity issues, I wouldn't worry about it too much as Ford often makes exceptions in order to schedule retail orders. Ford is in the process of completing the wholesale/allocation schedules for November production which for Mustang is a 5 week schedule. Your Dealer can tell you what Mustang allocation they have and if so they should be able to tell you when the November production allocation will be scheduled. Once your retail order is "Submitted to the Plant" and "Scheduled" your Dealer will have the actual VIN number as well as the week of scheduled production. More information will be available as the order is processed further. Once the order is scheduled your Dealer will get updates via the "Daily Schedule Status Report" as well as the Vehicle Visibility program which is available 27/7. Below is the 2014 Mustang commodity information that was is place for orders scheduling on Thursday 10/03/2013. phil1336
2014 Mustang Order Guide... Updated 09/30/2013. Interestingly, Ford Mustangs (1) year experience of adding LED Daytime Running Lights has been eliminated across all Trim Lines for MY 2014. Guess the Mustangs that are shipped to Canada will incorporate the traditional DRL`s that run off the Headlamps at reduced illumination. What is it with Ford and DRL`s? Did they sign a Treaty with Mazda and Nissan, the lone hold outs? Chrysler at least offers DRL`s as an Option.
