mustang84isu
Where in the world is KBB getting 131,000 sales for Ford in the first graphic? In November 2012 Ford sold 177,000 vehicles, not the 122,000 stated. There is no way it will be 131,000 in 2013. Edmunds is predicting 182,400 for FoMoCo in November '13, which would be a 3% increase over November '12. http://www.edmunds.com/about/press/november-auto-sales-set-the-tone-for-final-stretch-of-2013-forecasts-edmundscom.html
Bob Rosadini
looks like Mopar and Ford numbers switched.
Anthony
looks like Mopar and Ford numbers switched.Yeah someone screwed the pooch on that chart. Ford got Chrysler's numbers, Chrysler got Toyota's numbers and Toyota got for Ford's numbers. KBB actually has the correct chart on their website: http://mediaroom.kbb.com/http-www-kbb-com-november-new-car-sales-expected-rise-black-friday-deals I've updated the first post to include the correct chart. Anthony
Another reason why I trust analysts as far as I can throw them. They can't even get a simple chart right. That would actually be the people who wrote the article, not the analysts. The authors created new charts as images from various external analyst reports. akirby
Why do we need to "predict" the sales data? Why can't we just wait and get the actual results once a month? Anyone buying or selling stock based on one month's performance is crazy.
